Don’t Mess with that Turtle -
Chapter 571 - 571 131 Borrowing Buddha Force for a Single Use_1
571: Chapter 131 Borrowing Buddha Force for a Single Use_1 571: Chapter 131 Borrowing Buddha Force for a Single Use_1 Buddha Force is not merely about the incense offered in faith; it is a presence akin to True Yuan, comprising beliefs and grand vows – a wholly different system of power.
The amalgamation of nine Arhats into a Buddha is like a passageway, with a golden river rushing behind it.
That is the Buddha Pond, fashioned after the fabled Merit Pool, gathering the Buddha’s merit for myriad years.
The little novice monk joined his palms together, feeling the Buddha Force behind him, and looked confidently at the resurrecting Peacock emerging from the tomb.
However, it was regrettable that the Buddha World could not condense the Merit Pool; otherwise, the Bodhisattva being reborn would not be the weakest among them.
“Amitabha Buddha!” The little novice monk chanted like the ringing of a great bell.
Buddha light dazzled behind him, and Buddha Force surged like the sea, rushing towards the Peacock’s corpse.
In that torrent of Buddha Force, the seven treasures of Buddhist lore had already formed – clusters of lapis lazuli and mountains of agate surged forth in the great river.
Feng Si gave a cry and spread its wings to block the river.
The little novice monk, with a smile and a touch of compassion, said, “Today is a joyous day for Yun Li’s resurrection; why must you, benefactor, act malign and hinder my righteous Buddha fruits?”
Could it be stopped?
“Liao Heng!” Feng Si uttered through gritted teeth.
The little novice monk intoned another chant, “Ten thousand years ago, benefactor, you killed this poor monk once and even suppressed Master Liaodao’s True Spirit here.
With such extensive killing, is it not enough for you to lay down your butcher’s knife?
Causality must unfold; today’s effect was the cause of the past.”
As he spoke, he watched indifferent as Feng Si’s wing sent the Buddha Force river flying, scattering it into a vast rain.
This rain, however, instinctively sought out Yun Li’s Peacock corpse.
Liao Heng smiled and asked, “Benefactor Feng Si doesn’t think that Master Liaodao died in vain, does he?”
Master Liaodao died and was transformed here, his True Spirit suppressed in this place.
If even a dead Peacock could not be marked, wouldn’t that be a senseless death?
“Return!” Liao Heng roared like the Lion’s Roar.
His voice echoed throughout Feng Zhong.
Feng Qi ignited the Black Phoenix True Fire to burn away the Buddha Force rain.
Instantly, a swath of rain was incinerated, and the vapor emitted a murmured chant.
To the side, Phoenix Master Xiao Lun, with the ghostly image of a Phoenix behind him, gave a cry.
In the moment Feng Qi acted, he had already struck, warring for a long time and naturally they had each found foes – an understanding was formed.
Xiao Lun pointed with his long gun as the ghostly Phoenix image behind him cried out, opening its beak to swallow Feng Qi’s Phoenix True Fire.
He turned to Liao Heng and demanded, “I want three drops of Essence Blood from the Buddha Mother!”
Liao Heng, with a smile, replied, “If the benefactor exorcises demons and protects the true Dharma, the Bodhisattva will surely reward you.”
“Reward your grandpa!” Master Ci Fang bellowed as he leaped up.
His muscles bulged, bursting through his robes.
His fists shimmered with Buddha light as he smashed them into the flood of Buddha Force.
“To claim Buddha without being able to condense merit?
Which Buddha is without virtue?”
Boom!
Master Ci Fang’s punch expelled Buddha Force of merit from his body, neutralizing the Buddha World’s Buddha Force.
It was ironic that a monk who daily consumed meat and drank heavily, full of merit, contrasted against the seemingly compassionate faces of the Buddha World who could not gather such merit.
“Amitabha Buddha!” Liao Heng’s face turned sorrowful as he pressed his palms together, “Master Ci Fang, why behave so petulantly here?
Let us fight a righteous battle at Spirit Mountain.”
“Battle your mother!” Ci Fang paid him no heed, continually pounding the flood of Buddha Force, “Gentlemen, shatter this flood!
Once broken, their Buddha Force will be insufficient, and we’ll see how they manifest any Bodhisattva!”
Master Ci Fang spat out contemptuously, “I’ve been a monk my whole life, and only today I understand that a Bodhisattva’s rank isn’t achieved through cultivation but, damn it, through condensation!
How dare these demonic impostors wear the robes of my Buddhist order!”
The warriors immediately turned and began to attack the flood of Buddha Force.
Though unreliable, Ci Fang was a truly great monk.
Only a true monk, facing off Buddhist fiends, knows what must be done!
In an instant, the Buddha Force flood was shattered, sending energies seeking the wide-reaching Buddha rain…
Liao Heng joined his palms and transformed into a beam of golden light, soaring into the sky where he sat in a meditative pose, becoming a Buddha statue.
The statue spoke out, “Aid me, fellow monks!”
This call pierced through Feng Zhong, reaching beyond into the ears of five hundred Arhats in the outside world, and into the ears of monks in all directions.
At that moment, Arhats looked up towards the gates of Feng Zhong; the monks followed the sound.
Regardless of their actions, they sat cross-legged, chanting Buddha’s name.
Streams of willpower swarmed forth as Liao Heng’s Buddha statue, in the gesture of holding a flower, declared with compassionate eyes, “One Flower One World!”
In his hand, indeed a petal fell, touching the Buddha Force flood, blending into it.
Attacks landed upon it, yet passed right through the flood, which was in neither this realm nor the other, untouchable.
Liao Heng’s Buddha statue chanted, and with a sigh said, “The Bodhisattva eternally abides on the other shore; how can the mired touch it?”
The Buddha Force flood was unimpeded for a moment, its seven treasures shining brilliantly as they surged directly into the Peacock’s body.
The Buddha statue pushed forward with a backhanded motion, a Peacock spreading its wings and following the torrent straight toward Yun Li’s Peacock body.
It was the same Peacock, previously supported by the Arhats’ condensed Buddha shadow!
It was the Canon!
With one look, one could see countless stories on this Peacock.
Countless histories flashed and vanished on its feathers.
As the Peacock neared, Yun Li’s Peacock corpse let out a resounding phoenix cry; within the cry boomed a burgeoning Buddha intent.
Above, the Peacock’s phantom image let out a trill, carrying a star and hovering downward to merge with the Peacock’s corpse.
The instant of merging would mark Yun Li’s resurrection.
With Feng Si, Phoenix Chao Fei, and Su He all present, even if the great ritual was ahead of schedule, resurrection was a certainty.
But at this moment, Feng Si felt not a shred of joy.
The Buddha intent that had already pervaded the great tomb’s golden light – what would Yun Li, reborn in such a manner, still be Yun Li?
She turned to look below.
Buddhist bald donkeys, the Big Monk of Gujing Pavilion, Sealed Emperor Great World, Houdou Clan, Phoenixes, Dragon Turtles, and numerous Cultivators and Demon Clans…
