Don’t Mess with that Turtle -
Chapter 124 - 124 123 Wake Up_1
124: Chapter 123 Wake Up_1 124: Chapter 123 Wake Up_1 “Melt Love” is not about the outcome, but about undergoing the process, so that when advancing from the Heavenly Heart Realm to the Human Realm in the future, one can break through the illusion like a shattered mirror.
However, there have been rumors of masters who entered the Tao with their own bodies to help their disciples pass through love tribulations into the Heavenly Human Realm.
While the disciples emerged from their trials, those masters found themselves deeply trapped within.
But the Dragon Turtle is still a Turtle; for her, it was merely a transaction.
“You protect Ya Ya for three months, and I will help you through your love tribulation.”
Qing nibbled on a hawthorn berry, savoring the sour sweetness.
Life in the Mortal Realm was indeed colorful.
A raspy female voice came from behind: “Brother!
It’s that Big Turtle, huh?
And on its back is the demoness who slew the Lanflower Scholar!”
“Demoness, halt!”
Qintian Supervision?
Su He was momentarily stunned, then quickly understood the predicament and scurried ahead, as swift as flight.
Don’t underestimate the speed of a Turtle; when it truly bursts forth, it’s an awe-inspiring sight.
Su Huanian sat quietly on the Turtle Shell, turning his head to watch the court’s claws bearing down in pursuit.
One male and one female, the two Qintian Supervision cultivators chasing them were unable to perform Sword Flight.
They did not require Su Huanian to utilize his ultimate measures; for him, they were trivial opponents he could easily dispatch.
“Demoness!
Demoness!
Demoness!” The female Qintian Supervision cultivator, galloping on horseback and gritting her teeth, was definitely no good person.
which decent female cultivator would be so attractive?
Clearly, she was one of those demonesses from the demonic sects, yet she did not display a charming and seductive demeanor, instead appearing as cold as a fairy.
“Demoness!”
“Demoness!”
A respectable woman, who would ride a Turtle?
In Suzhou City, which had a sophisticated water network, Su He plunged into the river with Su Huanian on her back, slapping the water and swimming towards the outskirts of the city.
His control was excellent; even though his entry into the water was vigorous, the splash was minimal, with only a few water beads falling onto Su Huanian’s feet, pale as ice.
They then slid down her ankles onto Su He’s Shell.
The two Qintian Supervision cultivators halted their horses at the water’s edge, incapable of sword flight, and watched helplessly as the Turtle carried the demoness through the water, leaving Suzhou behind.
The river connected to Zhen Ze, and as Su He swam, they could see the city of Gu on the other side of Lake Zhen Ze.
As the sun was setting, neither Su He nor Su Huanian was in a hurry, so they watched the sunset and moonrise on the lake, as well as the star-filled sky.
Sounds as if beans were being roasted reverberated inside Su He’s body, one after another, leaving him blinking in confusion.
Su Huanian said softly, “You’ve blasted open your Melting Point, the ‘Melting’ is nearly complete.”
She said this was not the Illusion Realm; it was reality.
Su He blinked, “Has my Tao Cultivation increased?”
“Yes.”
“Then am I about to transform into human form?
When I do, would you marry me?”
Su Huanian’s heart tightened; although she had memories, this was the first time she was being proposed to.
Her own engagement to Feng Yi Ju had been arranged by their parents, and she had not experienced this process.
“No!” said Su Huanian, her rejection crisp and cool.
But Su He was not disheartened; he quietly watched their reflections in the water, drifting among the stars.
The two did not speak again, peacefully passing the time until dawn.
As the city gates opened wide, Su He carried Su Huanian into Gu City.
This small city had no Qintian Supervision outpost.
Although small, the city was bustling.
There were far fewer demons here, and people frequently cast curious glances at Su He, and even a bold old man came forward to inquire whether the Turtle was for sale.
He was scolded away by Su He.
What did it matter if he was an old man?
Su He had traveled through this world, growing to his current size; who was truly old was still in question.
An old man making clay figures nearby laughed heartily.
Su He’s eyes brightened; this old man’s craftsmanship was excellent, with his clay wolves, insects, tigers, leopards, and handsome men and beautiful women all incredibly lifelike.
“Old man, make a clay figure!”
The old man agreed and sliced off a large chunk of mud.
His rough hands danced gracefully, and in half an hour, he had sculpted a statue of a fairy riding a Turtle.
The Turtle’s demeanor was commanding with a touch of the lecherous, but the fairy was as delicate as a lotus rising from the water.
Su He was mesmerized.
From his back, Su Huanian giggled, “Why not shatter it, mix with fresh water, and remake one of you and one of me?”
“Huh?” Su He’s eyes widened, “Why shatter such a beautiful fairy?”
He stared at the clay figurine without blinking and tilted his head, thinking, “Something feels missing, don’t you think making a little girl with feet dangling by its side, a mischief-maker, would be good?”
Su Huanian suddenly froze.
Su He continued to mutter to himself: “Not too big, nor too small, just over three years old would be nice, dressed in little red clothes, looking fierce and cross.”
As he spoke, the clay figurine craftsman really did create a little girl figurine, looking grumpy yet cute, placed on the Turtle Shell, scampering back and forth, a lively and playful sight.
Su Huanian’s breathing quickened.
This Illusion Realm was formed based on Dragon Turtle’s intention, and the clay craftsman could create such a clay figure, which meant that the image of Ya Ya in Su He’s mind had become clear.
“Have you remembered?” Su Huanian asked softly.
“Remembered what?” Su He was full of confusion.
Su Huanian shook her head, “It’s nothing.”
It wasn’t a matter of remembering, it was the subconscious.
She watched the clay figure quietly.
Su He left behind two taels of silver and, amidst the clay craftsman’s profuse thanks, carried Su Huanian away.
A kite seller nearby gaped: “Turtle Grandpa, buy a kite, why don’t you?
Tomorrow is the Shangsi Festival, take Turtle Grandma out for kite-flying!”
Your whole family are Turtle Grandmas!
Su He huffed and sped up his pace.
The Shangsi Festival, also known as the Girls’ Festival, involves outings in nature, warding off evil, flying kites, romance…
Su Huanian couldn’t possibly participate in such a festival.
After wandering for a while and buying a few trinkets, Su Huanian showed little interest.
Su He then carried her back to Zhen Ze, leisurely passing half the day.
Su He looked at the green grass, feeling the warm breeze.
Su Huanian placed the clay figurine by the shore and sat down to meditate again.
When she opened her eyes, Su He had hurried back, gasping for breath at the edge of the closing city gate.
“If you like the town, we can live in the city,” Su Huanian said softly.
Su He shook his head, Su Huanian was wanted by the authorities, and they only ventured into the city occasionally, relying on her high level of Tao cultivation.
To live there would simply provoke them.
He put down a parcel, inside of which were a few sweets.
He had already found out that Su Huanian didn’t need food at all.
The occasional fruits she ate were merely for the sake of taste.
The night passed without words, and as the days and nights cycled, another clear morning arrived.
Not long after sunrise, groups of young men and women came to the outskirts to enjoy nature.
Today the wind was moderate, perfect for kite-flying.
After finishing her meditation, Su Huanian opened her eyes to see a swarm of kites dancing in the sky.
Each kite bore the image of a giant turtle with two people, mighty in stature, the fairy valiant, the girl mischievous.
Su Huanian looked up at the sky and smiled gently, “Did you do this when you went into the city yesterday?”
If it were a young girl celebrating her coming of age, she might truly have been moved.
Su He smiled and said, “Yes, it’s the Shangsi Festival!
I’ve never celebrated it before; it’s spring.”
Su Huanian watched him quietly: “You cannot become human.”
Some things are best left as thoughts; they cannot become reality.
Su He was silent for a while: “I have a cultivation technique called Transforming Beast Guide.
If I cannot become human, then how about you become a turtle?”
Su Huanian looked at him quietly, and after a long moment, she smiled wryly: “So, you have awakened.”
In the distance, the Illusion Realm shattered like a broken mirror.
Confronting the vulnerability, once awake, one realizes, and with realization comes the ability to move past.
Su He did not know what to make of the Su Huanian before him, whether she was a product of the Illusion Realm or real.
He looked at Su Huanian, “How about you become a turtle?”
Su Huanian shook her head lightly: “I only cultivate the sword!”
