Chapter 1498: Chapter 1501: The Thing About Brother Doting on Sister, It’s Hereditary (Extra 1)
The Scott family was calculating schemes, and Sylvia Scott had already returned to the villa where Larry Scott was staying temporarily.
"Sylvia, you’re back..." Isabella Martinez opened the door to welcome her inside.
Seeing the servants following Sylvia Scott, carrying various large boxes, Isabella couldn’t help but ask, "What’s going on? What are they carrying?"
"It’s the family’s antique ornaments," Sylvia Scott said lightly.
"Antiques!?" Isabella was startled, "Sylvia, did you move all of Grandpa’s collection?"
Sylvia Scott nodded noncommittally and walked over to sit on the sofa, "The most valuable items were locked in the study room, I couldn’t get them. These are just from the living room, they’re the less valuable ones."
Even the ones from the living room are priceless treasures.
Although Isabella Martinez is Larry Scott’s wife, her humble background always made her cautious and reserved within the Scott family.
She was just thinking of advising Sylvia Scott to keep the peace when she heard a noise from outside—it turned out Larry Scott was back.
Isabella immediately went to greet him.
"Aaron, you need to talk to Sylvia, she moved a lot of the original collection from home here. I heard from Tania that the old man was hospitalized last night, if he goes back and finds out about this, he might end up back in the hospital."
Larry Scott frowned slightly upon hearing this.
"You still have contact with Tania Scott? Didn’t I tell you not to care about her anymore?"
"I, I know. But... but Tania is pregnant now, and there’s no one to look after her." Isabella Martinez was Tania’s mom, and even though her daughter had hurt her in the past, she still couldn’t let go.
Larry Scott’s expression darkened, ready to erupt.
"Bro, don’t scold your sister-in-law. A mother’s love for her daughter is natural and justified. After all, Tania is your child, you can’t really expect your sister-in-law to abandon her."
Sylvia Scott had quietly come out and now stood by the doorway of the living room, smiling at Larry Scott.
Originally upset, Larry Scott’s brewing anger extinguished upon hearing Sylvia’s voice.
Larry Scott looked deeply at Isabella Martinez, his eyes conveying resignation, "Fine, if you want to take care of her, do it. But remember, don’t give your all to her. Tania is ungrateful. If you invest your heart in her, you’ll only end up hurting yourself."
After saying this, Larry Scott headed toward the living room.
Isabella Martinez followed him, discreetly sending a grateful look to Sylvia Scott.
Sylvia Scott smiled coyly and followed Larry Scott into the living room.
"Bro, come here, don’t start getting angry as soon as you arrive." Sylvia Scott, already a grandmother, still interacted with Larry Scott like when they were young, affectionately holding his hand while sitting down.
"Sister-in-law is such a kind person, she’s just a bit too soft-hearted, you shouldn’t always pick on her."
Larry Scott glanced at his sister, slightly helplessly, "You, after so many years abroad, you return only to speak for your sister-in-law. You don’t even know how to pity your own brother."
"Of course, who else would be so kind to me since the past than sister-in-law?" Sylvia Scott responded with a smile, still displaying the charming cuteness of her youth.
This left Larry Scott somewhat dazed.
More than twenty years had passed, and the image of his sister leaving with a heart filled with despair seemed just a moment ago.
But now, she seemed to have regained her vitality.
Clearly, Ken Redington had taken good care of her over the years.
Only a woman truly free from worries, nourished by love, could radiate such brilliance.
"Sylvia, Isabella told me you moved Grandpa’s collection here? How much did you move, was there any conflict?"
"Although I had alerted the gate guard, Grandpa’s residual power is still there. If he didn’t agree, it wouldn’t have been easy to move so many items out."
