Chapter 646: Chapter 611: I Like You So Much_2

William Griffith and Cherish Turner had changed into their golf clothes, walking side by side. One was coldly handsome, the other was delicate and tranquil. Far from being incompatible, they seemed well-matched.

"Mom, Mr. Tanigawa." Cherish approached and greeted them softly.

Cherish chatted with Lady Lottie and Mr. Tanigawa for a while. Perhaps Tanigawa said something that made William feel displeased:

"Cherish, come play golf with me."

William took a golf club from a caddy and handed it to her, signaling her to take it.

Cherish shook her head hurriedly, "I won’t play, I don’t know how."

"Miss Turner, come on! You’ll learn if you try!" Green encouraged.

Tanigawa also enjoyed playing golf but wasn’t very good at it. He thought having Cherish practice with him would be an opportunity for them to improve their skills together. He eagerly involved her, "I didn’t know how to play either but learned from a coach. You haven’t even tried it. How can you know you can’t do it?"

William agreed with a grunt, an unusual common ground with someone else.

"Miss Turner, how about it? I’ll stay with you!" Green enthusiastically offered, her smile radiant.

Cherish didn’t want to learn golf, but it would be embarrassing to refuse Green’s eagerness. She took the club and said softly, "Alright, I’ll give it a try."

"Stand here." William placed her in position, wrapping an arm around her and adjusting her posture. He occasionally reminded her of important points as if he were a professional coach. His breath was so close to her, subtly stirring her senses while his masculine voice echoed, "When your hands move to the height of your right hip, try to keep the club parallel with the ground. The speed of the clubhead turning in your hands creates an upward centrifugal force..."

Cherish remembered it clearly. Lincoln Wood and Sophie Wood were present, too, when she was previously here with William. Over two years had passed but they were in the same place, with the same people, and William was still coaching her hands-on. She couldn’t concentrate, and her body tightened instead of relaxing.

"Relax." He whispered close to her ear.

Cherish felt a surge of heat and bit her lip, "It’s too difficult."

"How can someone as clever as you find golf difficult? I’ve taught you before." William said coldly, his voice deepening, "Should I say that you’ve become stupid, or I’m just not a good teacher?"

"No, you’re a very good teacher." Cherish shook her head.

"So you admit you’re stupid?" he asked again, light flashing in his eyes.

"I’m stupid." Cherish admitted without resistance, as there was no shame.

William sighed. He enveloped her with his arms and chuckled, "How did such a stupid girl like you manage to ensnare someone as clever as me?"

Cherish was dumbfounded, unable to look back at him. To see him grinning mischievously, she retorted, "I didn’t ensnare you."

"Then how come I..." He deliberately stopped mid-sentence and lowered his head. His warm lips brushed her cheek, causing her to blush, "I love you so much."

Cherish’s heart raced. She took a step back, leaving his embrace, and stared at him wide-eyed.

He had never said anything like this before!

Green interrupted uncomfortably, breaking the intimate atmosphere, "Miss Turner, your face is so red!"

Embarrassed once again, Cherish’s thin face turned tomato-red, "I’m a bit thirsty, I need water."

Immediately, a bottle of mineral water was handed to her.

William said, "Drink."

After taking a few sips, Cherish handed the water to the caddy, "Let’s continue practicing."

"I’m not going to practice anymore." She frowned and refused.

"Why not?"

Green held a club and walked beside her, constantly persuading, "Come on, let’s practice! We can play together in the future. It’s so boring coming here alone."

Unable to withstand her pleading, Cherish glanced at William and said, "I don’t want you to teach me anymore."

"What do you mean?" He furrowed his brows discontentedly, as if he couldn’t believe it.

"I said I don’t want you to teach me anymore." She was firm.

Green was astonished, "Mr. Griffith is so good at golf, why don’t you want him to teach you?"

"Yes, I’m too stupid, so I don’t want him to teach me." Cherish decided to use his words against him. William insisted, "Since you’re so stupid, it’s even more necessary for me to teach you."

"Anyway, I don’t want you to teach me." Cherish stubbornly declared.

"In that case, let’s find a coach." Stuck with an inspiration, Green suggested a good idea.

"Alright." Cherish agreed but William scoffed before sitting back down in his seat gracefully.

Soon, Coach Thompson arrived.

Coach Thompson was a mature forty-year-old man with an excellent physique. He was also humorous and funny. His meticulous coaching made the two girls, Cherish and Green, burst into laughter occasionally. He occasionally lifted Cherish’s arm or helped position her shoulder correctly, listening carefully to his advice. Soon, she was making progress.

However, a certain man silently observing couldn’t help but become increasingly irritated.

William squinted, recalling the day he found her in the snow, asking her, "Would you like to be with me?" She hesitated, weighing her options. Eventually, he approached her impatiently, and she earnestly replied, "Let me think about it."

Could it be that even he, William Griffith, would experience being considering by someone else?

This must be a first!
