Chapter 599: Chapter 591: I Will Accept the Interview_2
"It’s fine," Robert Griffith said softly.
Seeing him unharmed, the old lady sighed in relief and looked at Cherish Turner with gratitude, "Miss Turner, thank you very much."
Cherish smiled and shook her head, politely saying, "Chairman, Madam Chairman, I’ll take my leave now. Please rest well."
"I’ll have the driver take you," the old lady quickly said.
"No need, I can take a taxi. It’s very convenient here." Cherish gently declined, then turned to leave.
Watching her go, the old lady turned her gaze to Robert Griffith, who was resting with his eyes closed. She said, "Old Master, actually, looking back on this girl, she might be quite good. Sometimes I think that maybe we should stop interfering with William and the Turner Family’s affairs. After all, he’s handling everything himself now. We did do some things wrong back then. Bringing up the previous generation’s matters and involving the children is bound to be inappropriate. William could accept someone else, however, he seems to have no intention of accepting anyone else."
Robert Griffith coldly snorted, neither approving nor strongly rebuking.
After a while, William Griffith hurried in. As he rushed into the ward and saw Robert Griffith safe and sound, his handsome face relaxed.
The old lady said, "William, your grandfather is fine. Don’t worry."
Robert Griffith’s hands crossed over his chest, his eyes still closed, and he said slowly, "I want you to accept that magazine’s interview!"
William asked indifferently, "Why?"
"There’s no reason! If I tell you to accept it, you will accept it!" Robert Griffith suddenly opened his eyes and yelled loudly.
"I don’t like interviews."
"Just this once."
"Not even once."
The father and son argued over the interview, and Robert Griffith clearly had no way to convince William. In an angry voice, he shouted, "She saved my life! I want you to accept the interview!"
William’s gaze grew intense, then he calmly asked, "You went looking for her?"
Robert Griffith looked away, implicitly admitting to it.
"I’ll accept the interview," William said. "But don’t look for her again. She’s married now. Don’t bother her."
At these words, the old lady was shocked and surprised, and Robert Griffith was obviously taken aback.
Unable to interview William Griffith, the magazine was faced with a dilemma. All the financial-themed articles for the next issue had been arranged, and it was impossible to change the content at the last minute. Chief Editor Billy and Emmy Chip discussed it, and decided to interview another elite from the financial industry to fill the gap. However, they couldn’t guarantee the magazine’s sales in this case.
Just as they were considering who to feature as the star, the magazine received a phone call.
It was from the Griffith Group.
The call was made by William’s secretary, informing them that President Griffith had agreed to the interview.
This news delighted everyone at the magazine.
That afternoon, as per the scheduled time given on the phone, Emmy Chip, Cherish Turner, and another photographer went to interview William. They entered the Griffith headquarters smoothly, and Xiao Jiang led them into the office, announcing, "President Griffith, the editors for the IN magazine interview are here."
William Griffith looked up and closed the file he was reading. He was wearing a white shirt with a black tie fastened with a silver clip. Despite the cold weather, the room was chilly before the heating was turned on. Although he looked dashing and impressive, the overly thin clothing made Cherish frown involuntarily.
William went to the lounge area and sat down on the sofa, "You have twenty minutes."
"Thank you, President Griffith." Emmy Chip immediately responded, and the three of them sat down opposite him.
Emmy Chip made the most of every minute and second, asking each prepared question one after another. Meanwhile, Cherish diligently took notes and recorded with her voice recorder. The twenty-minute interview went by without a break. After the last question, Emmy Chip added a personal one, "President Griffith, you are the dream lover of many Haicheng girls. What is the ideal girlfriend in your mind?"
William’s voice was slightly low and hoarse, as he said indifferently, "Time’s up."
Cherish stopped writing and slowly looked up at him. She saw that his handsome face had grown even paler than before, as if he was feeling unwell.
Emmy Chip, not daring to say anything more after being shut down, skillfully wrapped things up with a long string of flattery and gratitude, "President Griffith, we at IN magazine are truly honored that you accepted our interview! Thank you once again, President Griffith!"
Throughout it all, Cherish hadn’t spoken a single word to him. As she quietly listened and recorded, she took a chance to glance around the office but didn’t find any trace of Duo Duo.
