The building hadn’t changed and still resembled the one in her memories.

From a distance, the dark green glass reflected dazzling rays of gold. As she looked up, the top floor of the building was the presidential office. They didn’t even step foot in the lobby before being stopped by security. Emmy’s stubborn temper flared up, and she insisted on waiting stubbornly outside until they could see someone. Cherish quietly waited by her side.

The wind was slightly cold. After waiting for an unknown amount of time, someone suddenly called out, "Cherish?"

Cherish looked up and saw Yannis Griffith standing in front of her.

Since returning to the country, Yannis had been very busy, constantly flying between domestic and international destinations. Apart from the occasional times when he came for dinner, they didn’t see each other much. From his travel-worn appearance, it was clear he had just gotten off a flight. Cherish smiled at him, and Yannis stepped forward and said, "What are you doing standing outside? It’s so windy; let’s go inside first!"

In the resting area of the lobby, Yannis learned the whole story, "My brother has never liked interviews."

"Sir, we know that President Griffith doesn’t like interviews, but we were assigned to do this, and we cannot leave without completing our task." Emmy chipped in promptly. Recalling how the security guard had shown deference and respect to him earlier and called him "President Griffith," she guessed that this man’s identity must be extraordinary, "Could you help us meet President Griffith?"

Yannis pondered for a moment before speaking in a low voice, "Follow me."

The three of them made their way up and eventually reached the top floor.

"President Griffith?" Secretary Xiao Jiang came out to greet them. However, as he noticed the two people following Yannis, his gaze lingered on Cherish, puzzled.

"Is President Griffith in?"

"Yes, he’s in."

"Is he entertaining any guests?"

"No."

Yannis simply gave a few instructions, and Xiao Jiang nodded his head and knocked on the door before entering. The spacious office was cold and desolate. The simple black and white decor created a suffocating atmosphere, as if there was low air pressure here. Xiao Jiang walked forward a few steps, stood still, and said, "President Griffith, these two are editors from the magazine. They would like to schedule an interview."

"Hello, President Griffith, I’m Emmy Chip, the deputy editor of IN Magazine. Please accept my business card." Emmy submitted the card hastily, holding her hands in midair.

But William Griffith didn’t even lift his head, coldly saying, "I don’t accept interviews. Who allowed them in?"

Xiao Jiang told the truth, "It was Mr. Yannis who brought them in."

Upon hearing this, William Griffith finally looked up. His gaze was disordered for a moment before he locked eyes with the visitor, but he didn’t pay attention to the woman in front of him; instead, he looked at Cherish standing farther away.

"Get out! I don’t accept interviews!" William Griffith spoke coldly, "Please escort them out!"

"Please reconsider, President Griffith. It won’t take much of your time! Our IN Magazine is the top magazine in Haicheng! President Griffith..." Emmy pleaded urgently, but Xiao Jiang had already stepped in front of her, "I’m sorry, please leave immediately! If you don’t go now, I’ll call security!"

Emmy had no choice but to turn around and leave.

Cherish came to her senses and was about to take a step when her calf was bumped by something.

Her legs felt numb as if she had lost sensation.

Chief Editor Billy had given a final deadline of seven days, withdrawing all other work and assigning Emmy to focus solely on the celebrity profile interview column. After the interview was rejected, Emmy didn’t give up but became even more determined. She brought Cherish along every day, staking out the area near Griffith Tower, not wanting to miss any opportunities.

"He’s coming out!" Emmy’s sharp eyes spotted William Griffith emerging from Griffith Tower and hurriedly ran over.

Cherish stuck her head out, carrying her backpack, and followed Emmy.

"President Griffith! Please give us just a little bit of your time, okay?" Emmy pleaded non-stop, only to be blocked by security. Cherish was also stopped a few meters away. The chilly autumn wind howled, passing by them. William Griffith didn’t look back.
