Chapter 594: Chapter 589: Cherish, When are You Coming Home

Teacher Lee responded, "Sure, I’ll discuss it with you in detail after class."

"Thank you, Teacher Lee," Grace Harper murmured in gratitude.

Teacher Lee noticed Grace’s unusual behavior and followed her gaze to finally see the pretty, fair-skinned girl. Cherish Turner slightly smiled and gently called out, "Teacher Lee, Sister Grace."

This must have been unexpected even for Grace. The girl who had been missed and sought for over two years had suddenly appeared.

Teacher Lee had forgotten about Cherish Turner, and coupled with her changes, it took Lee a long time to recall. Cherish didn’t persist, instead she simply enrolled again in the piano class to continue her unfinished course. Grace said nothing until after parting ways with Teacher Lee, she only then said, "You’ve finally returned."

After a moment of thought, Cherish responded lightly, "Leaves should return to their roots."

"When did you come back?"

"A few days ago."

Grace looked at her, her tone somber as she said, "These past two years, I’ve heard from Yannis, he has been looking for you."

Cherish knew whom she was referring to, she merely smiled, unable to utter a single word.

"Give me your phone number, for easier communication." They both exchanged numbers. Grace smiled, "Then, I won’t disturb you, let’s get together when you have time."

"Alright. Goodbye."

As Cherish turned to leave, Grace stopped her again, "Cherish."

Cherish turned back, as Grace paused, and then said gently, "If you have time, come back to the school."

After leaving the training center, Cherish called Elijah Butler, but there was no answer. She sent a message asking if they could eat dinner together. After a while, Elijah replied: Don’t wait for me.

Cherish didn’t feel like cooking alone if Elijah wasn’t coming home for dinner.

So, what to do about dinner?

Cherish thought of a place.

The small shop in the depths of the alley was once Cherish’s favorite place to visit.

It had been over two years since she last visited, the granny didn’t recognize her. Until she introduced herself, only then did the granny realize and exclaimed in surprise, "Old man, come here, see who’s here! It’s Cherish! It’s Cherish! Cherish, please sit, tonight’s meal is on us, senior folks! Do not reject our hospitality! Old man, go prepare the food!"

Faced with the enthusiastic granny and grandpa, Cherish could hardly decline.

The small shop was doing well, just like old times, the decor remained the same, and the menu hadn’t changed much. The food was served, at which the granny went to attend other customers. The table where Cherish sat was still the same one from years ago. There was a guestbook on the table, and while waiting for the food, she boredly skimmed through it.

This guestbook wasn’t there two years ago.

There were not many messages; she read through them one by one.

However, in the middle of the guestbook, Cherish was stunned by one message and couldn’t recover.

"Your food is here! Please enjoy!" The waiter brought the food. It was still their signature dishes, nothing had changed.

Cherish abruptly closed the guestbook and picked up her bowl to quietly eat. Biting on the rice in her mouth, over and over again. As if possessed, she put down her bowl, nervously picked up the guestbook, and turned it open again.

The page was yellowing with age, it contained forceful handwriting.

It simply said—Cherish Turner, when will you return home?

But out of the blue, her heart suddenly began to ache.
