Domineering Love -
Chapter 531 - 530: Stay Away From Me
Chapter 531: Chapter 530: Stay Away From Me
"You’re going too far!" He growled gloomily, his entire being arrogantly shocking.
"Hiss—" The apron tied around her was torn, and his large palm reached for her blouse.
But she suddenly spoke, so helplessly murmuring that name, "William..."
William Griffith suddenly stopped, only to see her trembling beneath him. She was so small, so small that she appeared pitiful. How could someone so frail make him want to bully and possess her, to desperately seek ownership regardless of the consequences? His hands propped up his body, looking down at her beneath him.
The sudden silence was like a deathly stillness.
"You don’t need to clean the apartment or cook for me," William Griffith squinted his eyes and spoke in a deep voice, "From now on, stay away from me, the farther the better. Don’t let me come across you again, or else..." He paused for a moment, and laughed maliciously, "Don’t blame me for what I might do to you."
Her vision blurred, Cherish Turner couldn’t see his face, nor perceive his expression. But his voice had grown colder, as if it were ice. She stood there dazed, her body seemingly not her own, unable to move.
"Not leaving? Then let’s continue!" William Griffith mocked, his large palm beginning to move again but deliberately slowing down.
Cherish Turner’s mind heated up at once, and she finally made a move. Panic-stricken, she crawled out from under his supporting arm, clutching her disheveled clothes, and ran out of the bedroom and apartment. The air was in disarray, the sheets tangled together, revealing folds and the imprint she had left, lingering with her scent.
And even... the salty taste of tears.
William Griffith lay silent on the bed; it was a long time before he got up, left the bedroom, and closed the apartment door. He lit a cigarette, holding it in his lips as he smoked. Walking towards the living room sofa, he abruptly sat down. But the more he smoked, the more suffocated he felt, unable to swallow and dismiss his loneliness.
Gazing at the burning cigarette between his fingers, the nicotine seemed to have lost its effect.
Back in her room, Cherish Turner hugged herself, sobbing all night. Until she had no strength left to cry, she finally succumbed to her exhaustion and fell into a deep sleep.
The night sky was filled with stars, but after the darkness came a dawn that was somewhat restless.
The golden sunlight illuminated the earth, and the people wandering in the jungle were like trapped beasts. They had lost their animal nature, only able to go with the flow, unwilling to fight back. Their sharp claws had been worn down. Men and women entered and exited the tall buildings. In one of the office areas, the phone suddenly rang.
"Ding-ling—"
"Hello, this is Griffith Group," the switchboard operator greeted with a smile.
A soft and almost ethereal female voice came from the other end, "Miss Butler, this is Cherish Turner. I can’t reach the manager on his cell, can you please tell him I’m not feeling well today, so I won’t be coming into the office. Please consider today as my leave day."
"Oh, alright, Assistant Turner."
"Thank you."
"No problem, Assistant Turner, you take good care and rest."
"Goodbye."
At that moment, Cherish Turner, holding her cell phone, was standing in front of a newly purchased villa by Daniel Peacock. She quietly thanked the person on the phone and hung up. Putting her phone in her purse, she pursed her lips uneasily and walked toward Daniel Peacock’s residence, a place she had never liked and did not wish to have any further dealings with.
As she crossed the road, Daniel Peacock’s villa was already in sight.
She reached out and rang the doorbell, her heart somewhat unable to stay calm. But before she could say anything, someone opened the door.
The servant inside the villa looked at her and said softly, "Miss Turner, the young master is waiting for you."
