Cherish Turner called her mother and found out that Father Turner had been seriously ill recently. So she had been busy taking care of him. She talked to her mother on the phone for a bit, and her mother said they would meet up in a few days. Cherish agreed.

After hanging up the phone, they didn’t talk about the taboo person.

On Friday night, Yannis Griffith came to Cherish’s company to wait for her to finish work.

But he didn’t call ahead, always playing surprise attacks, patiently waiting in the lobby downstairs. Actually, they had previously agreed to go to a gathering together since Hailey Griffith was back in the country.

"Assistant Turner, the Second Young Master is waiting for you. You two must have a special relationship." As she stepped out of the elevator, a colleague teased her.

Boyfriend? Cherish shook her head and whispered, "No, we’re just friends."

The colleague smiled mischievously, greeted Cherish, and tactfully left, saying, "Bye."

"Bye." Cherish waved and walked over to Yannis Griffith.

Yannis smiled gently, his clean and refreshing hair covering his forehead. He spoke deeply, "Alright, let’s go. They’re all waiting for us."

Getting in the car, Cherish turned to ask, "Who’s all there?"

"Hailey, Edward Smith, your friend Xiao Jiang. And..." Yannis paused, glancing at her, "me and you."

What about him? Cherish was suspicious and heard him say, "My older brother probably won’t make it."

The gathering was held in a high-end restaurant, in a quiet private room.

By the time Yannis and Cherish arrived, the other guests were already there. Hailey and Xiao Jiang were sitting together chatting, while Edward Smith sat to the side with a glass of wine, taking occasional sips. As soon as they arrived, all three looked up in unison.

"Cherish, President Griffith finally brought you here." Xiao Jiang patted the seat beside her, gesturing for Cherish to sit.

"Sorry for making you all wait." Cherish walked over and sat down next to her.

Hailey poured a cup of juice for her and handed it over, "Have some juice. It’s hot."

"Thank you." Cherish whispered her gratitude and took the cup with both hands.

When three women gathered together, they couldn’t help but chat.

While they were talking, the door of the private room was pushed open.

It was a young girl about twenty years old with delicate, exquisite features, exuding vitality. The girl smiled slightly at everyone and quietly sat down next to Edward Smith. She intimately hugged him, speaking softly and gently, giving off a warm and elegant air.

What was going on? Had Edward Smith found a new girlfriend? Or, during the time they were abroad, had the two of them encountered a disagreement?

Hailey still couldn’t let go of Sam Turner in her heart, so Edward Smith was unhappy? It didn’t seem like him.

Xiao Jiang whispered in Cherish’s ear, "Cherish, come up with something you want to eat. President Griffith is treating us today, so we can’t be too polite with him."

Yannis Griffith sat opposite them and said generously, "Order whatever you like."

"By the way, Cherish, how’s work going for you lately?" Xiao Jiang casually asked.

"It’s alright. Same as always." Cherish said softly, but her gaze swept toward another person. Hailey, who had just warmly greeted her, was now silent. She was holding a wine glass, drinking alone, seemingly unhappy. Then, Cherish looked at Edward Smith, who was getting along well with his new girlfriend.

When everyone had arrived, Yannis called the waiter to start serving the dishes.
