Chapter 507: Chapter 506: Girls Should Have Self-Awareness
From the western suburban golf course back to the city, it was already past the time to get off work. The car went straight to the Cherry Blossom Garden, taking her home directly. As the car turned around the corner, the neighborhood was not far away. The car stopped by the roadside, and Cherish Turner got out without saying a word. Two people were walking on the road ahead, Daniel Peacock and Elijah Butler. They had gone to the supermarket and bought several bags of food.
Elijah was at ease and leisure because all the bags were thrown onto Daniel.
Seeing the car, they naturally understood that it was William Griffith who sent Cherish back.
With an arch of his eyebrows, Elijah walked towards Cherish, draped her shoulders with a flirtatious smile, "Off work? Then go home and cook! The vegetables are bought, and you can cook. I’ll be your assistant! President Griffith can do the dishes!"
Finally, Daniel reached Elijah’s side, looked at William in the car, and asked, "President Griffith, would you like to join us for dinner?"
William looked back at him and uttered three words in a deep voice, "No need."
The car window slowly rose, and the car drove past them.
William’s gaze looked straight ahead, but involuntarily he glanced at the front mirror just as the car was about to pass the traffic light.
"Cherish, don’t always ride with him in the future, he is not a good man! You can take a bus or a taxi, or call Daniel. He will be happy to take you home!" Elijah said as he walked into the neighborhood with his arm around Cherish.
Daniel was walking behind them, suddenly turned his head, and the car had already gone far away.
Last night at dinner, Daniel told Cherish and Elijah that he had a morning flight to the United Kingdom the next day. Elijah clamored for him to bring them gifts. Daniel agreed with a smile, and they talked happily. Cherish, on the other hand, had no appetite and couldn’t sleep well. What she least expected was that the old master of the Griffith family had sent someone to talk to her.
At the time, Cherish and Grace Harper were walking into the Griffith Hall when a tall man suddenly appeared in front of them.
Both of them were startled and heard the man say, "Miss Turner, Mr. Griffith would like to talk to you."
"Mr. Griffith?" Cherish asked in amazement, and Grace’s face was full of surprise.
The man repeated, "Mr. Robert Griffith."
Robert Griffith, the father of William and Yannis, was the head of the Griffith family and the chairman of the Griffith Group. Such a heavyweight figure stunned both Cherish and Grace. Cherish didn’t know what Robert wanted to talk about, but the man had already made a gesture of invitation, "Miss Turner, this way, please."
Cherish had no choice but to nod and turn to leave.
Grace stood still, watching them leave the building.
Cherish was taken to the parking lot, where a luxury RV was parked. The man opened the car door, and Cherish instantly saw the old master sitting in the car. Robert didn’t even glance at her, just leisurely wiping his pipe with a handkerchief.
With a hard scalp, Cherish got in the car and politely called out, "Mr. Griffith."
"Miss Turner, I have no interest in the matters between you and William, nor do I want to know. A girl should know her place, and too much entanglement is a burden. You are so smart and capable, you must understand what I mean." Robert spoke softly, his deep voice was particularly heart-shattering.
Cherish bit her lip and said nothing, as Robert slowly put away his handkerchief, "Thirty percent of the shares in William’s name are still in your hands, and you don’t have to hide it anymore. After all, that’s what William exchanged for with a billion U.S. dollars, so the rightful owner should return it."
Cherish suddenly opened her eyes, and they were filled with shock!
That thirty percent of the shares was actually bought by William with one billion U.S. dollars!
