Chapter 505: Chapter 504: If It’s Not a Joke

The scent wafted over, William Griffith was emotionless as he said, "I don’t take students."

"I didn’t say I wanted you to be my teacher, a friend can also teach, right?" Sophia Wood was one hand on her hip, the other holding a golf club, "If you’re not free tomorrow, how about the day after?"

"No time." It was still those two words, unchanged.

"What about the day after that?"

"No time." His answer remained the same.

"Why are you always busy? Fine, tell me when you are free and have time, and I’ll accommodate you, okay?" Sophia’s stubborn temper flared up, and she was at odds with him.

William Griffith looked at her and said, "I don’t teach people."

"You taught this young lady, why can’t you teach me too?" Sophia glaced at Cherish Turner without any hint of hostility, "Also, you always come to the golf course, it’s not hard to give me a call?"

"Without Cherish, I’m not interested in playing golf." William Griffith pocketed one hand and immediately pulled Cherish Turner into his arms.

Cherish Turner had been standing quietly on one side, listening to their conversation. But his sudden words and embrace left her dazed. She looked up at him, his face was so close, and he was still using her nickname, she heard him call her "Cherish" again.

"Is she your girlfriend?" Sophia finally understand their relationship, asked suspiciously.

Cherish Turner was eyed up and down by her, instinctively opened her mouth, "I ..."

"Yes." He hugged her tighter, his voice overriding hers.

Cherish Turner was utterly astonished and could not make a sound. She remembered the conversation in the office the other day, Lincoln Wood seemed to want him to marry Ms. Wood, but wasn’t Ms. Wood engaged to Yannis Griffith? But what’s going on now? Her mind was a mess and she couldn’t figure it out.

"I’m not playing anymore, it’s boring." Sophia puckered her lips, flared up, threw the golf club and left.

Fortunately, the caddy acted quickly and caught the golf club.

Lincoln Wood’s voice came from afar, "Sophie, what’s wrong?"

"Dad, I don’t want to play anymore, I want to go home!" Sophia said glumly, listless.

"Okay, okay. Dad will take you home!" Lincoln was clearly indulgent with her and agreed immediately, "Wait for me in the car, I have something to talk about."

Sophia did not respond, walked directly into the clubhouse, ready to change her clothes.

Lincoln Wood came back to William and looked at both him and Cherish, he said meaningfully, "Young Master Griffith, I have high hopes for you, don’t disappoint me."

"Miss Turner, goodbye." Lincoln smiled.

"Goodbye." Cherish mumbled, Lincoln Wood finally turned and left with a smile.

Once everyone had left, Cherish moved aside, gathering her scattered thoughts, and said softly in a low voice, "President Griffith, about what you said just now, I know you were joking."

"What did I say?" William’s deep voice questioned, increasing her annoyance.

"You said I’m your girlfriend...." Cherish bit her lip and rushed to say, "But I won’t take it seriously! Just, it’s probably not a good idea like this!"

It was really not a good idea, after all, he already had Chloe Turner didn’t he?

Her clear eagerness to clarify made him momentarily gloomy, he was silent for a long time before opening his mouth to say, "It’s not a joke."

Cherish’s heart stirred up waves, confusion and bewilderment.

"If it’s not a joke, would you take it seriously?" He finished his words.
