Domineering Love
Chapter 496 - 495: He’s Not Unfaithful

Chapter 496: Chapter 495: He’s Not Unfaithful

The person who arrived was indeed William Griffith, which truly stunned Cherish Turner.

William Griffith didn’t say anything and walked away directly, leaving Cherish standing there, still in shock.

When he left, Cherish received a call from her new boss at her new company.

In essence, their company had a project in cooperation with the Griffith’s company, and they needed to send employees to work with Griffith’s. Cherish was naturally one of them.

Utterly ridiculous.

Cherish originally left her previous job at Demon Manga to cut ties with the Griffith’s, but now, it seemed like wherever she went, he followed.

Back at home, Cherish was in a bad mood, wondering whether she should accept this new job. But this opportunity had not come easily, and she did not want to let her pride get in the way this time. One mishap driven by pride was enough.

Second Butler was off work as well and walked over, noticing Cherish looking troubled, as if bothered by something. She sat beside Cherish and anxiously asked, "What’s the matter? Have you been bullied? Is your new job not going well? That’s awful!"

Cherish looked at Elijah Butler and spoke somewhat detachedly, "Do you think I should help him?"

"Help who? A woman or a man?" Elijah was momentarily taken aback, then suddenly regained focus and asked sternly, "That heartless man?"

Cherish replied quietly, "He’s not heartless."

"Why are you even defending him?!" Elijah complained exasperatedly, warning her, "Ninety-nine out of a hundred men are bad, and the good one is definitely taken by someone else! He wants your help? You’re actually softening up? Alright, I never asked before, but now you tell me, who is this bastard? Daniel Peacock or William Griffith?"

Cherish closed her eyes and finally spoke his name, "William Griffith."

"William Griffith? The second son of the Griffith’s family? No way! Everyone knows he’s a notorious playboy. Are you really planning to jump into the fire pit again?" Elijah strongly objected, "No! I don’t agree!"

Cherish opened her eyes, her expression hesitant, "Elijah, give me a reason to help him."

"You..." Elijah stopped suddenly and just hugged her, "You fool! I can only give you a hundred reasons not to help him!"

After a night of struggle, Cherish still went to Griffith’s the next day.

As she entered the Griffith Tower, she ran into Yannis Griffith. Seeing her dressed in professional attire, full of energy, she looked just like the Cherish he first met.

"Your new company is cooperating with ours. You’ve heard, haven’t you?"

Cherish smiled bitterly and nodded her head. Of course, she knew – it seemed like there was nothing William couldn’t accomplish!

Feeling somewhat disappointed, yet also expecting such a situation, Yannis warned her, "You might be very busy soon, so you need to hang in there."

"Yes!" Cherish smiled, already prepared for the worst – ready to make a full retreat if necessary.

In the top-floor office, a large swivel-chair faced the floor-to-ceiling window.

William Griffith had arrived at the company early in the morning. The silvery-grey silk shirt he wore reflected the golden light of the rising sun. He leaned back in the chair, closing his eyes to rest.

Cherish brought a cup of coffee and knocked on the door. Gracefully walking over to the large desk, she placed the coffee down gently, "President Griffith, here is your coffee."

William had always thought Cherish wouldn’t agree to come to Griffith’s at her new company’s request. However, against his expectations, she had actually come. It was surprising, and yet not, for she was just that kind of person.
