Chapter 466: Chapter 467: Going Abroad

When Cherish Turner received a call from Grace Harper, she was waiting for a bus at the bus stop. After hanging up, she hailed a car directly and went to meet up with the two of them. Hailey was encountered on the peninsula, looking sullen, with Edward Smith not by her side.

Hailey and Grace had already arrived at the agreed-upon place, waiting for Cherish at a curry restaurant. Before long, Cherish arrived, and the food was served. The three of them ate happily. The curry tasted rich and carried a hint of exotic flavor.

Today, Hailey was exceptionally generous, insisting on treating them. But this Third Miss Griffith was a big idler without a job yet!

After taking a sip of juice, Hailey looked up at the other two, "Don’t be shy, eat as much as you can. After we finish, let’s go to the bar. It’s my treat today, to celebrate my soon-to-be liberation."

"Liberation?" Cherish was surprised.

"I plan to go abroad." Hailey brushed away the long hair on her shoulder and said indifferently.

"Hailey, you’re actually going abroad! When did this happen? When you leave, I’ll be so bored in the Griffith Family house, and what about Edward Smith? Haid City is great too, and you can find a job with good prospects here," Grace hurriedly advised when she heard Hailey was leaving.

"Sister Grace, don’t worry. Even if I leave, my sister-in-law is still here, right? You can hang out with her." Hailey’s words made it difficult for Grace to say more. Grace then asked, "But why did you suddenly decide to go abroad? Which country are you going to? I haven’t heard you mention it before!"

Hailey, with one hand supporting her jaw and the other stirring the curry soup in her bowl with a spoon, said solemnly, "One can’t always stay in the same place. When it’s time to go, one should go."

One can’t keep standing still, waiting forever for someone who may never come!

Cherish kept silent, staring at Hailey.

"Alright, I haven’t decided yet if I’m going or not. Don’t be like this, you two. It’s not as dramatic as the tearful partings in TV shows. Speaking of which, who’s been watching TV shows recently..." Hailey laughed heartily, quickly changing the subject to dilute the gloomy atmosphere.

After dinner, the three women left the restaurant and took a cab to the bar.

Hailey ordered a bottle of red wine and poured a glass for each of them. The music was noisy, and the sound of chatter filled their ears. Grace got up after a while and went to dance on the dance floor. The dazzling lights on the dance floor made Grace’s beautiful face hazy, with a bewitching beauty. Men approached her immediately, trying to chat her up and dance with her.

From the corner sofa, Hailey turned to look at Cherish beside her and asked softly, "Will your big brother be unhappy that I dragged you out for the night?"

Cherish hesitated for a moment, her hands clasping the wine glass, "He probably...won’t."

Would he still be unhappy? They had already broken up, hadn’t they? Perhaps at this moment, he was already by Chloe Turner’s side. That typhoon night, not a message, not a call; he could completely ignore her. Even when they met again, they could act like strangers.

It was like going in circles, but just returning to the starting point.

Returning the ring he gave her was already a kind of ending.

The lights flashed on Cherish’s face. Hailey saw a look of loss and melancholy and couldn’t help but ask, "Sister Cherish, what happened?"
