Chapter 431: Chapter 432: A Ring to Bind You Chapter 431: Chapter 432: A Ring to Bind You “Oh.” Even though she was curious about why he wanted the coin, Cherish Turner still pulled one out and handed it to him.
William Griffith took the coin, his lips curving into a charming smile. With a flick of his finger, the coin shot up into the air, flashing brightly as it caught the light. He stretched out his hand and caught the coin before it hit the ground. Holding the coin tightly in his fist, he said in his deep voice, “If it lands on the flower side, go left. If it lands on the words side, then go right.”
Cherish nodded in agreement, offering no objection.
“Which side do you think it will land on?” William asked, his eyebrows narrowing slightly.
Cherish considered for a moment, realizing that most girls would likely choose the flower, and so she responded with a smile, “I guess it’s the flower.”
William narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze unusually intense as he strangely stated, “I guess it’s neither.”
Cherish was taken aback as he slowly opened his palm.
The golden sunlight illuminating something in his palm that shone so brightly, she couldn’t help but gasp in surprise.
In his palm lay a simple band ring with delicate engravings.
When had he prepared this ring?
Cherish was flabbergasted. She clearly remembered leaving the ring in a box in her drawer. Yet, how was it now in his hand? She gave him a puzzled look, and he coolly shrugged it off, making it all the more endearing. She looked at him, her eyes curving into a smile as she laughed shyly.
What a cunning man he was!
Yet he said nothing, just boldly reached out his hand, gesturing for her to take the ring.
Cherish bit her lip, taking the silver ring from his palm and putting it back on her finger. Right hand, middle finger – it still fit perfectly.
William silently took her right hand and led her down the street to the left.
This early spring seemed to carry an aura of sweet bliss.
The boutique with large glass windows looked exceptionally bright and clear.
William sat silently on the sofa reserved for customers, one leg casually draped over the other, his figure slender and tall. With one hand under his chin, his eyes, cold and indifferent, were focused unwaveringly in one direction, toward the changing room.
The sales clerks attentively offering service, recognizing their affluent customer.
The changing room door pushed open.
A graceful figure emerged. She wore a pure white cotton maxi dress, her slender legs peeking out from under the hem. Delicate blossoms scattered on the hem of the dress added a touch of charm. Her pink sneakers added a youthful vibe. Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders and she made the white dress look flawless, her fair skin not overshadowed by the white, but rather more noticeable and attractive.
Cherish touched her hair, tucking a few stray hairs behind her ear, her eyes meeting his gaze with a shy smile.
“Sir, this dress suits the lady perfectly,” the salesperson sincerely complimented.
William stood up and ambushed the moment by saying, “She’s my girlfriend.”
“Eh?” The salesperson was slightly taken aback, before quickly correcting herself, “Sir, this dress really suits your girlfriend.”
William handed over his credit card, which the salesperson took respectfully. He then walked over to Cherish and wrapped his arms around her slim waist.
“Do I look good in this?” Cherish asked softly.
“You look good, but…” William replied, then whispered into her ear, “You’d look even better without it.”
Cherish’s face turned red instantly, and she gave him a playful glare.
