Domineering Love
Chapter 428 - 428 429 Is It Too Late

Chapter 428: Chapter 429: Is It Too Late? Chapter 428: Chapter 429: Is It Too Late? “Why don’t you try to fight for her? Maybe…” Cherish Turner couldn’t help but say, clutching her bag firmly, “Maybe if you fight for her, she’ll be your girlfriend!”

The traffic light ahead turned red, and the car stopped at a four-way intersection.

The car lights flashed on and off, and the inside of the car was silent.

Cherish Turner pursed her lips, feeling anxious and uneasy, without knowing what she was anxious about.

The red light turned green, and the car continued forward. After a long silence, Yannis Griffith finally spoke, his voice low and unhurried, “I have someone I like.”

For a moment, Rose Solomon was taken aback and couldn’t believe it. Could it be Grace Harper? Impossible!

The night was deep, and the bright lights of the street intertwined with the silver-gray light flying through the air.

After dropping Cherish Turner off, Yannis Griffith left.

The elevator stopped at a certain floor in the residential building, and the elevator doors opened. Cherish Turner saw a familiar face at the door, Daniel Peacock.

Cherish Turner took her keys out of her bag and unlocked the door. As soon as the door was opened, she walked in without turning on the lights. Her hand accidentally touched the switch, and the lights in the living room came on. The bright light was too glaring, causing a moment of dizziness.

“Daniel, feel free to sit.” Cherish Turner threw her bag onto the sofa and walked toward the kitchen.

Daniel Peacock watched her walk into the kitchen and open the refrigerator door, taking out a bottle of cold water to drink. He strode forward, dashed to her side, and snatched the glass of water from her hand, saying sternly, “How could you suddenly go looking for Cherish Turner? In front of so many people, did you really want to hurt Chloe’s mother?”

“I’m just thirsty.” Cherish Turner smiled, her expression betraying her sorrow.

Daniel Peacock put the glass of water on a nearby cabinet, put his arm around her shoulders, and led her to the sofa. They sat down together, and he said, “You should have restrained yourself, otherwise, it will only drive William Griffith further away.”

Cherish Turner leaned back wearily against the couch, her body completely exhausted. She raised her hand to cover her forehead, closed her eyes, and murmured to herself, “Is it too late?”

Daniel Peacock remained silent, solemn in response.

“Daniel Peacock, I’m going to rest.” Cherish Turner said with a light laugh.

Daniel Peacock did not bother her any longer, stood up, and reminded her, “Chloe is your sister; you should at least have some affection for her.”

Cherish Turner sent Sam Turner to the elevator, waiting for the elevator doors to close before returning to the apartment. She walked to the bedroom and sat on the edge of the bed. She took a delicate butterfly-patterned jewelry box from the bedside drawer and opened it.

The tangled memories, like the butterfly patterns on the jewelry box, fluttered before Cherish Turner’s blurry eyes.

She had missed the best time and lost so many years.

She had always thought that they were on the same starting line and that he was still there, unchanged. However, she never realized that the person who had been walking beside her had somehow moved ahead of her. He was right in front of her, but he seemed unreachable and untouchable.

Tears suddenly fell.

That was the school emblem from when she and William Griffith first met. They were such a perfect match, but now, things had changed. What could she do now to get him back?

Was the world really forcing her to choose between herself and Cherish?

Then, she couldn’t let Cherish Turner remain.
