Domineering Love
Chapter 416 - 416 417 Really Inconvenient

Chapter 416: Chapter 417: Really Inconvenient Chapter 416: Chapter 417: Really Inconvenient The world in front of Cherish Turner was shrouded in darkness, as agonizing pain crippled her, obstructing her ability to think. But she wouldn’t allow herself to weaken at this time, nor would she allow herself to revel in his fleeting gentleness. Even though she yearned for it, coveted it. As if she already knew the outcome, her voice became even lighter, so light that it was almost a whisper to herself, “I’m afraid I’ll need to trouble President Griffith with sending me home again…”

It turns out, one person can’t do everything.

Like now for instance.

After a lengthy silence, William Griffith remained quiet.

As the car sped past, his deep and robust masculine voice unexpectedly resonated in her ear, so insubstantial and elusive: “You can be sad, but don’t be for too long, it hurts me.”

With a loud boom, she felt as though her head had been hit by something.

Fleeting dizziness and surprise accompanied by unending yearning and infatuation. Miraculously, her pain seemed to have subsided somewhat. Cherish abruptly opened her eyes and her gaze darted towards him. Such a handsome profile, with his sharply defined nose showing no emotion, focusing on driving. She could hardly believe that those words just now had come from his mouth. She stared at him blankly, assuming it was all an illusion.

Did she just hallucinate?

The pain in her lower abdomen intensified once more. Cherish squinted her eyes, enduring the cramps as beads of sweat permeated her forehead.

William glanced at her from time to time. His large hand firmly held her smaller one, resting on her lower abdomen. With a frustrated voice, he spoke, “Why do you have stomach cramps now? I’ll take you to the hospital!”

Cherish clearly knew what was going on. She bit her lip tightly embarrased and weakly spoke, “No need for the hospital.”

“No! You must go!” He authoritatively retorted, clearly not willing to listen to her.

She knit her eyebrows tightly, extremely annoyed, “There’s no need for the hospital… I’m just… not feeling well.”

“What kind of unwell?” He persistently questioned, appearing somewhat obtuse.

Cherish wished she could die, not from the pain, but from embarrassment. She closed her eyes, speaking in a mosquito-like whisper, “I… my period has come.”

William was obviously taken aback, instantly falling silent, saying no more.

The car stopped in the alleyway leading to the highrise, unable to proceed further. After parking, William immediately got out. Cherish attempted to do the same, but found that she did not have the strength to move. The car door on her side suddenly opened and she looked up at him. He bent down slightly, lifting her with ease.

From the entrance of the alleyway to the highrise was quite a distance and given it was broad daylight, naturally, people would see them.

Cherish had no mind to care about other people’s opinions. Whether it was due to the intense pain or his tender consideration which caused her to be deeply infatuated, she only wished to nestle against his chest for a long, long time. He carried her into the highrise and took the elevator. As the elevator ascended, each time it stopped on a floor, people outside would notice his stern and icy face and didn’t dare to get in.

Reaching the attic, William asked in a deep voice, “Keys?”

“In my bag. Bag’s at the office.” Cherish breathed deeply, utterly exhausted.

Without uttering a word, William lifted his leg and kicked the door open.

With a loud “bang,” Cherish felt an even worse headache, “What are you doing? Demolishing the house?”

Actually, it wasn’t that dramatic, the door didn’t fly off, only the lock was broken. William took big strides into the attic, to which Cherish replied in a soft voice, “I need to go to the bathroom.”

He carried her to the bathroom. Cherish opened her eyes, looking at the small bathroom, her gaze sweeping across the glass shelves where she usually kept sanitary products. The glass shelves were empty, with only toilet paper left.

How could it be so tragic?

When one’s luck is bad, everything goes wrong.

“What next?” Unaware of what to do, William asked, holding her in his arms.

Cherish’s voice trembled slightly, as she was so exhausted she was unable to cry, “I ran out of pads.”
