Chapter 401 - 401 402 I Dont Allow It

Chapter 401: Chapter 402: I Don’t Allow It Chapter 401: Chapter 402: I Don’t Allow It The two continued to play golf on the field, William looked towards the hole in the distance, as Daniel Peacock asked from behind him, “What’s the deal with you and Miss Hall?”

“Friends.” He replied with that short word, gesturing with his golf club, ready to swing.

Daniel crossed his arms, “I thought she was your ex-girlfriend.”

William went silent without saying anything more. As he was about to swing, Daniel suddenly asked, “What about Cherish Turner?”

The force wasn’t well controlled, and the ball slowly moved towards the hole, stopping right at its edge.

“If she’s not someone’s girlfriend, I think I might have a chance,” Yannis Griffith laughed, as William’s cold and handsome face paused. The sunlight was too dazzling, hiding the endurance in his eyes; he said boldly, “No matter what happens, we’re brothers.”

William clenched his fist, and the two bumped fists together.

At the end of the workday, the crowd surged.

In the distance, a black Maserati drove forward.

William’s gaze shifted from the goldfish food on the passenger seat, and suddenly looked up, seeing a petite figure with a handbag getting into a parked silver Porsche in front of them.

It was Cherish Turner and Daniel Peacock.

“I’ll get off first, be careful on the road.”

“Okay. You should rest early too. Call me when you have time.”

“Bye.”

Daniel stopped at the entrance of Cherish’s apartment building, the two of them smiling and saying goodbye.

The elevator went all the way up, finally reaching the top floor.

Cherish was simultaneously trying to find her keys in her handbag while walking out of the elevator. She looked up and saw a tall figure standing in the corridor. He leaned against the wall, facing her, his slender legs slightly bent in a casual pose. The pair of black eyes was exceptionally deep, staring intently at her, like a black cat in the night.

Cherish pursed her lips, not saying a word, acting as if she hadn’t seen him, and continued to walk towards the loft.

William’s gaze followed her, as if trying to make up for the days he hadn’t seen her. It also seemed like he was angry, staring intently at her. But she just ignored him! Suddenly, he took a step forward, blocking her way with lightning speed. He looked down at her, his eyebrows furrowed in anger.

Cherish’s expression remained calm as she said lightly, “Please move.”

William didn’t show any intention of stepping aside, his tall figure like a wall, casting a shadow. Cherish faced his icy eyes, which seemed to be covered with a layer of fog. Perhaps it was due to the dim lighting, she couldn’t get a clear look at him, and heard him say faintly, “You went out with Daniel Peacock again.”

How did he know?

Was he following her?

No, it’s unlikely, and not his style.

Despite being extremely puzzled, Cherish still said indifferently, “We just happened to meet for dinner, and at the very least, we can’t pretend not to know each other, right?”

“Especially because it’s Daniel Peacock, it’s even more forbidden,” William said forcefully.

“I don’t want to talk to you,” Cherish said softly, trying to move a step aside and walk past him. But he suddenly reaching out and forcefully pulled her into his embrace, imprisoning her firmly against his chest, not giving her a chance to escape. Cherish couldn’t break free and didn’t want to disturb the neighbors, so she gritted her teeth and yelled, “William! Let go!”

William pressed her body completely against his own, her soft body, the faint fragrance, the scent of shower gel and shampoo mixed with her unique body scent, making him miss her so much, “I don’t like you going out with any other man, not just Peacock.”
