Chapter 384 - 384 384 Sweet Feeding
Chapter 384: Chapter 384: Sweet Feeding Chapter 384: Chapter 384: Sweet Feeding One of the ladies was holding a bag of refreshing grapes, and when she had an idea, she said, “If President Griffith wins, I’ll feed him grapes. But if you win…” She glanced at Cherish Turner, her lips curving in a smile. “Then Miss Turner will feed you grapes.”
“That sounds interesting.” Oscar Winston’s eyes crinkled with satisfaction as he kissed his female partner’s cheek, causing her to giggle. He released her hand, stretched his arms, and said, “Let’s get started.”
William Griffith didn’t say a word from start to finish.
Cherish Turner stood quietly to the side, her beautiful brows furrowing.
If he won, she would really have to feed him grapes?
“I…” Cherish was about to speak when William Griffith murmured, “Who do you think will win?”
Cherish stifled her emotions and looked at him with her round eyes, not saying a word.
The game officially began, with two handsome and dashing men facing each other in competition.
Cherish and the other girl followed them quietly, watching their intense match. Cherish felt anxious – she didn’t want to see him win, but she didn’t want to see him lose, either. It was a contradictory feeling that even she found puzzling.
“Oscar, you’re playing so well!” The other girl handed him water and cheered him on.
Cherish walked over to William Griffith with a bottle of mineral water and whispered, “Do you want some water?”
He looked at her and took the water to drink. As he did so, he noticed beads of sweat on her flawless forehead, glistening in the scorching sun. He took the towel from her hand, but instead of wiping his own sweat, he gently wiped hers away.
Cherish was taken aback, and her face flushed slightly.
William shot a glance at a nearby waiter and said slowly, “Bring an umbrella.”
“Yes, sir.” The waiter hurriedly fetched an umbrella to shield Cherish from the sun, making her feel more comfortable instantly. Cherish watched William play, her hands still holding the towel and the water bottle.
As noon approached, the game was drawing to an end, and they had traveled quite a distance around the golf course.
“Oscar, you only need one more shot to win. I know you’re the best!” The girl encouraged him.
Cherish had always been a woman of few words, so she remained silent.
“Who do you think will win?” William asked again.
Cherish stared at him intently but averted her gaze as she softly said, “You.”
“But I want you to feed me grapes.” William gently brushed her hair from her cheek and whispered softly.
Boom——
It was April, but somehow, the heat seemed to be unbearable all of a sudden.
Both men took turns teeing off, and Cherish saw his friend score a goal. She unknowingly clenched the towel in her hands as she watched William swing. He gently pushed the ball, which stopped just at the hole’s edge, refusing to roll in. He took another shot, and the ball finally went in.
The referee counted the shots nearby and announced, “Mr. Winston, 72 strokes. Mr. Watson, 72 strokes. It’s a tie!”
William walked over to Cherish and said indifferently, “You guessed wrong.”
“Wait.” Cherish called out and went to fetch a grape from the other girl. She returned and held it to his mouth, asking, “Do you want to eat it?”
William ate the grape from her hand while his other hand supported the back of her head, lowered his head and kissed her, feeding her the grape.
Her face flushed, and he glanced at her with narrowed eyes, saying, “This is how you feed someone. Silly.”
