Who? Cherish was suspicious.

She rapidly changed into a fresh set of clothes and groomed herself before descending the stairs in a daze. Even after she had settled in the car, she was still a bit disoriented. William hit the gas and they were on their way, while Cherish leaned against the car window, once again dozing off. When the car finally came to a stop, Cherish opened her eyes to find they had arrived at a golf course in the western suburbs.

The grand clubhouse of the golf course included a restaurant, a bright and refreshing environment.

At one of the dining tables, a striking man and woman sat side by side. This was William’s friend in the United States, Oscar Winston, who had been involved in several matters concerning the Turner Clan.

William Griffith, hand in hand with Cherish went towards them. He pulled out a chair for Cherish to sit down, and then sat down next to her, busily helping her with her food. Cherish sat in a stupor, not moving, as plate after plate of food was placed in front of her.

“I can’t finish all of this,” she whispered.

William shot her a glance, responding quietly, “Eat a little more.”

After breakfast, Oscar, accompanied by his female companion, headed first to the golf course.

William, with Cherish in his arms, walked towards the changing room where they proceeded to change. In no time, William was already changed and waiting outside the changing room on a sofa. The door to the adjacent room swung open, revealing a stunning and adorable figure that left him both amazed and frowning.

She was wearing a white sports T-shirt, with a well-fitted waist design that only accentuated her slim figure. But the T-shirt was too short, and her midriff would be exposed whenever she lifted her arm. And that lively sports mini skirt, it simply seemed ill-designed for any sense of security. One gust of wind and all would be exposed.

While Cherish didn’t normally wear such attire, compared to the discomfort of formal dress, this was a little more comfortable. She had deliberately tied her hair into a ponytail, thinking it suited the outfit rather well.

“I’m ready,” she said softly, standing in front of him.

William stared at her intently, snapped his fingers, and ordered in a low voice, “Get her a pair of pants.”

“Yes, President Griffith.” The attendant assented respectfully and promptly fetched a pair of long sports pants.

Cherish was a bit puzzled. She had looked at herself in the mirror and thought she looked pretty good. About to remark something, she ultimately remained silent and sauntered back into the changing room to switch into pants.

“That’s a good girl.” William stood up, walked over to her, and gently kissed her on the cheek.

The two left the clubhouse and took a small vehicle to get around the golf course.

The weather was good, with the clear blue sky occasionally adorned by drifting white clouds. From the vehicle, Cherish saw a tall figure playing golf up front alongside a female companion.

“William, let’s play a round,” Oscar called out, leaning slightly towards him with a golf club in hand while his other hand rested casually in his trousers pocket – a picture of effortless cool.

William helped Cherish exit the car, took a golf club from the attendant, and said softly, “Just watch me play.”

Cherish uttered an “oh” in response – she couldn’t play anyway.

“Just playing golf is too boring, how about we wager a bit?” Oscar suggested, his eyes gleaming mischievously.

“What’s your wager?” William stepped forward, inquiring sternly.

Oscar, wrapping his arm around his female companion, had a spark in his eyes and asked his partner with a smile, “What do you think would be a good wager?”
