Chapter 366 - 366 366 Who is the Arrogance for
Chapter 366: Chapter 366: Who is the Arrogance for? Chapter 366: Chapter 366: Who is the Arrogance for? “Thank you for the compliment, big brother!” Grace Harper said shyly, her heart full of delight. Glimpsing in the direction of their gazes, her face turned slightly cold.
“Why is Hailey so slow? Cherish hasn’t arrived either?” Yannis Griffith looked around at the entrance and casually mentioned.
Grace Harper hastily responded, “Cherish didn’t have a dress, so she’s with Hailey. I think they’ll be here any moment.”
William Griffith suddenly furrowed his eyebrows, his thin lips slightly pursed.
As they were talking, a bright and stunning figure appeared.
The pinkish-blue dress set off Hailey Griffith’s fair complexion, and the ostentatious dress didn’t seem out of place on her; her figure seemed to fit it so well. Her hair was piled high, revealing her graceful neck. Hailey entered with a smile, exuding nobility and grace.
Edward Smith squinted his eyes, staring at her intently.
As someone walked past him, Edward Smith took steady steps forward. He put one arm around her waist, domineeringly declaring ownership, although it was unclear to whom he was doing so. Edward whispered something into Hailey’s ear, their intimate position again making them appear like a couple in love.
“Hailey, where’s Cherish?” Grace Harper asked in surprise when she didn’t see Cherish Turner.
“She just remembered she forgot the gift and went to get it,” Hailey Griffith said mysteriously, looking at Yannis Griffith. “When you guys see sister-in-law later, you must brace yourselves!”
Everyone looked puzzled, and William Griffith’s fingers tightened around his wine glass.
“Cherish is here!” Grace Harper exclaimed, spotting a faint figure approaching from the dark entrance.
She finally entered the banquet hall, her head lowered, black hair cascading over her chest, soft and very well-behaved. Her pearl-colored dress was cute and petite, hugging her curvaceous figure; the cleavage on display was quite evident. Cherish tugged at her too-short skirt, wanting to lengthen it slightly, this shy and child-like action adding to her cuteness.
Her fair, enticing skin could truly make a man’s nose bleed.
Cherish Turner could almost feel everyone’s gaze upon her. Hesitating and unsure, she finally raised her head. Amidst everyone’s anticipation and curiosity, her tender, innocent face met the crowd’s eyes in a vague, unfocused manner.
She was like a white swan, gentle and beautiful, or like jasmine, tempting one to pluck her.
William Griffith stared at the irresistible Cherish Turner and took a big gulp of his wine.
“Senior, happy birthday.” Cherish finally made her way to Yannis Griffith, hands presenting a gift. She spoke softly, “A birthday present, I hope you like it.”
Yannis Griffith’s smile was incredibly gentle at this moment. He solemnly took the gift, saying deeply, “Thank you.” He held the gift in one hand, while the other reached out to embrace Cherish.
Caught off guard, Cherish was enveloped in his tight embrace.
Such a hug couldn’t be commented on, even by Grace Harper. After all, it seemed like a matter of etiquette.
However, William Griffith had an air of rage about him, as if he were about to be consumed by fire.
Throughout the evening, Cherish danced with one person after another, first with Yannis Griffith, then with Edward Smith. In the end, even Yannis’s friends danced with her a few times. Cherish moved between them as if the protagonist of the banquet had changed, making it seem no longer a birthday party.
Like Cherish, both Hailey and Grace danced with everyone, as per social etiquette. It didn’t carry any meaning, but someone was fixated on Cherish all night, drinking sullenly and without moving. Even when beautiful women approached, he did not dance with them.
Similarly, he didn’t ask anyone to dance, maintaining a stubborn and haughty demeanor, though it was unclear whom he was trying to impress.
