Chapter 359 - 359 359 Staring
Chapter 359: Chapter 359 Staring Chapter 359: Chapter 359 Staring Cherish Turner frantically ran out, and everyone saw her panicked expression, each harboring their own thoughts.
Yannis Griffith had also seen his elder brother follow Cherish Turner in just now, and at that moment, his heart was extremely tense. He didn’t dare believe what could happen between a man and a woman walking in the same direction at that time.
“Cherish, what’s wrong? You look pale.”
Cherish Turner laughed awkwardly and shook her head: “It’s nothing, I might be feeling a little seasick. I’ll just go sit down and rest for a while, and you guys can enjoy yourselves. I’ll be back in a bit.”
“I’ll accompany you.”
“There’s no need, senior. You’re the protagonist today, and I don’t want to dampen your spirits. If you want me to stay here with peace of mind, you should stay and entertain them.”
Moreover, his woman should be Grace Harper. They were a couple, and Cherish Turner was well aware of that.
William Griffith’s words just now were still ringing in her ears, and she didn’t want to be that fickle woman he accused her of being.
It wasn’t long before William Griffith came over too. He didn’t look at her but whispered a few words to Yannis, and then walked away. He brushed past her, and when he passed by her, Cherish Turner’s heart rose to her throat. In the end, were they still drifting further apart?
As everyone ate and chatted, time passed exceptionally quickly.
It was late at night when everyone finally dispersed and went back to their rooms to sleep. The sound of the sea breeze could be faintly heard, and Grace Harper had already fallen asleep next to her. After drinking a few bottles of wine, she was clearly somewhat tipsy. During this time, she mumbled the name “Bob Turner,” which sent a chill down Cherish’s spine, and she quickly sent her to her room to rest.
Yannis Griffith had also drunk quite a bit of wine, and he didn’t seem to be in a good mood. He was carried back to his room by a few friends. Dawn Turner, however, couldn’t sleep and tossed and turned. In the end, she got up and walked alone to the deck to get some fresh air.
The moment she walked out of the cabin, she saw a figure leaning against the railing and smoking.
He slowly turned his head, looking at her in a disheveled manner.
The moonlight was too cold, and that was why his eyes were so icy.
Cherish Turner froze in place, not knowing what to say in front of him at the moment. If she left without speaking, that would be too awkward.
The late-night sea breeze howled past, buzzing in her ears. The moonlight was like the silver-white flash of a knife’s edge, cold and without warmth. As it swept across his face, only his black eyes were exceptionally bright. Holding a cigarette between his fingers, he took a puff at the corner of his mouth. The smoke was dispersed by the sea breeze as William Griffith looked indifferently at her in the distance, remaining silent.
For a moment, there was silence, and no one spoke.
Suddenly, he took a step forward, walking towards her one step at a time. His scent, a unique mix of grassy cologne and a faint smell of tobacco, carried by the wind towards her. As he got closer and closer to her, she felt her heart beat faster and faster. Her eyes tensed up, but he quietly walked past her, brushing against her shoulder, heading towards the cabin.
Cherish Turner was taken aback and had not yet recovered.
“I’m done smoking; you can do as you please.” William Griffith’s calm male voice drifted from behind her.
Cherish Turner suddenly turned and looked at his tall, receding figure, her vision momentarily blurred.
His way of speaking was so distant and cold, as if the man who had passionately kissed her before was not him.
Cherish Turner also regretted that moment earlier. Why couldn’t they get along well, like a normal couple, with him?
