Chapter 350 - 350 350 Missing Him

Chapter 350: Chapter 350: Missing Him Chapter 350: Chapter 350: Missing Him Cherish Turner stares at her father Anthony Turner, sick in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), as he fights against fate.

Every second ticks by slowly, with doctors and nurses constantly coming and going.

At 7 o’clock in the morning, the chief physician hurried back to check on the situation.

All of them had done a simple cleanup and stood outside the ICU. Cherish Turner stood at the back, her fists clenched. Due to the tension, she even didn’t have the strength to breathe until the doctor exited the room, and announced with a low voice that Anthony had safely passed through the critical stage.

The dawn shed her light after the dark night. When the first ray of sunshine in the early morning fell, even life seemed to have the joy of rebirth.

“You guys go back and rest. I’ll stay with Uncle here.” Daniel Peacock said gravely. Cherish didn’t want to leave, but there had to be someone at home. Furthermore, the new Turner Clan, which William Griffith had helped her manage, had to keep running smoothly.

A suited man walked towards them and saw Daniel and Cherish. He immediately halted to greet, and then walked up to Daniel, saying respectfully, “Mr. Peacock, all has been arranged.”

Seeing Daniel nod in approval, his subordinate presented the bag in his hands to cherish, saying, “Miss.”

Cherish Turner turned her head, and the man was holding her bag. She hesitated to receive it from him, but because she was so weak, she lost grip and the bag fell onto the floor. Her keys and wallet, as well as a flight ticket, scattered out of the bag.

It was a ticket for a 8 p.m. flight that evening, to New York, USA.

She thought at 8 p.m., she wouldn’t be able to go. Just thinking of it made her heart ache.

“I’m sorry, Miss.” The man immediately stooped to pick up the scattered items. Cherish was faster, squatting down and softly saying, “It wasn’t your fault. I wasn’t careful.”

Daniel Peacock, upon lowering his gaze, also saw the ticket. The destination being New York, USA. His brows furrowed with the realization, but he didn’t say anything. She had already hastily collected all the contents back into her bag, hugging the bag, with the ticket inside, tightly to her chest.

“You go back and rest, too,” Daniel said.

Cherish Turner shook her head. “I want to stay.”

“Go home, change, and take care of yourself. When Uncle wakes up and sees you like this, he’ll be frightened. I’ll call you at once when Uncle wakes up.” Daniel’s gaze swept across her disheveled, blood-stained clothes and frowned, “Do what I say. You being here won’t actually help Uncle; it will just worry him. I think he loves you very much, otherwise he wouldn’t care about you so much.”

“…” His words undoubtedly struck a chord within Cherish. She was not heartless. After going through this ordeal, she couldn’t stay indifferent. Towards this father, now all she wished for was his speedy recovery, and would do anything for that.

Cherish hesitated for a moment, knowing she must look disheveled and lost. After taking one last glance at her father, she finally turned to leave.

As she walked out of the hospital, a gust of chill air made her feel refreshed. As she rode back to her apartment, she leaned against the car window and closed her eyes in exhaustion. She took out her mobile phone and glanced at it— no calls, no messages. It had already died sometime without her noticing.
