Domineering Love
Chapter 287 - 287 287 If I Did It

Chapter 287: Chapter 287: If I Did It Chapter 287: Chapter 287: If I Did It “Daniel Peacock? You still trust him more than you trust me?” Hearing this name, William Griffith couldn’t control the anger that he had been suppressing.

“Trust? William, I have always trusted you. But what about you? What have you told me? Do you trust me? If you really trust my feelings for you, why can’t you be honest about everything? Or are you afraid that I’ll hate you after I find out everything?”

Cherish Turner’s words made William Griffith stunned, uncertain how to answer her.

He couldn’t say that he hadn’t hurt the Turner Family, or Cherish, at all in the past events.

He had his own selfish interests too.

“What’s the matter, can’t speak? If you can’t say it, then I’ll find the answers myself.”

As William looked at her, he suddenly wanted to know how important he was in Cherish’s heart. When they would someday stand on opposing sides, what would she choose?

“If the Griffith Family has indeed wronged the Turner Family, what do you plan to do? Leave? Pretend nothing ever happened between us?”

He wouldn’t allow it. If Cherish made that choice, he would make her understand that being William Griffith’s woman, she could only be his for the rest of her life.

If she liked it, he would spoil her. If she didn’t, he would force her to accept everything he offered.

He wouldn’t take any rejection.

However, Cherish seemed not to understand what kind of person William was. If he were truly someone without a temper and always submissive to her, then he probably would have been eliminated in the business world by now.

Staying unbeaten in a complex city like Seaview was mostly due to his intelligence and iron-fisted tactics.

“I don’t know…” She didn’t know what choice to make. Betray her family? She couldn’t do it. But could she really let go of William and part ways for good?

It seemed she couldn’t do that either.

Seeing that Cherish’s attitude wasn’t too extreme, William walked up to her. “We’re doing great right now. Why do you have to know about that meaningless past? You have your parents now; they treat you well. Before you knew about your birth parents, you had a complete and happy family. Why must you disrupt this balance? Cherish, be good and stay by my side.”

He held her in his arms, preventing her from escaping.

But this wasn’t what Cherish wanted. The more he tried to stop her, the more restless her heart became.

“No, I don’t want this…” Cherish struggled and pushed him away. This action, however, provoked William.

He suddenly realized that one day, when his actions conflict with her values, she would undoubtedly choose to push him away.

A hint of coldness entered William’s heart alongside an unfamiliar panic. He had never felt this unwarranted fear in all these years, afraid that she would leave him.

Backing away, he decided to leave the food untouched. William dumped the bowl of porridge into the garbage, startling Cherish.

“Since you don’t want to eat, just calm down for a while. When you’re ready, I’ll have Mother Goodman bring you something to eat.”

With that, William left the room, leaving Cherish alone, sitting on the bed.
