William didn’t like the way she talked, especially the indifferent attitude that felt as elusive as smoke, making him feel uneasy.

“Cherish, can you stop making a fuss, please?” he tried to appease her.

“Fuss? Are you sure it’s me who’s making a fuss? William Griffith, you really don’t understand me.”

However, William did understand her. He was afraid that if she knew everything, she would go insane.

No one could bear the fact of being abandoned and used by their own parents, even Cherish.

“Cherish.”

“William Griffith, tell me, I beg you. Either let me go, don’t keep me in the dark and have me follow you. If you really care for me, please tell me, is she related to me? I don’t want to be a fool.”

She wasn’t stupid, she knew there must be a connection between them, but she hoped William would be honest with her.

However, after giving Cherish a deep look, William chose to remain silent.

“You’re tired. Get some rest early. Tonight, you’ll sleep with Lewis, and I’ll sleep on the sofa.”

Having said that, William got up and carried her to the bedroom.

“William Griffith!” Cherish protested, but William was very domineering and did not allow her to refuse.

“While we’re in Japan, I’ll be with you until the end of your courses here, and we’ll go back together. Also, Cherish, I’m not joking. Don’t try to provoke me or challenge me again, like seeking Tanigawa to act out a play to drive me away. Lewis looked at Cherish’s sad face and recalled his father’s unhappiness recently. He didn’t know what to do with the two of them. How could he help these two wretched people? It was a real headache.

Early the next morning, Cherish slept heavily. She had been thinking all night and didn’t fall asleep until the early hours of the morning. When she woke up, however, she didn’t see Lewis around.
