Gladys said with a mysterious smile, and Feng Yuan, speechless, glanced at her and said,

"Do you find it fun to play mysterious with me? If I really wanted to know, do you think I couldn’t find out?"

"But you won’t," I’m trusting that you would show restraint and not peer into the future unless it’s necessary."

Index finger held to her lips, Gladys spoke mysteriously, and Qi Chen glanced at Feng Yuan as he pulled out a chair and sat down. He didn’t want to get involved in this matter; whatever surprise Gladys had in store was none of his concern. Seeing Lorna sitting elegantly at the table, Qi Chen said with some surprise,

"So you’re Lorna?"

Smiling at Qi Chen, Lorna said nothing and simply continued eating her food silently. Seeing Lorna’s aloof demeanor, Qi Chen scratched his head while Dou Yanlan, somewhat puzzled, looked at Gladys and Feng Yuan and said,

"Didn’t she have something she needed your help with?"

"It’s resolved, or rather, I don’t even know what the situation was."

Feng Yuan said with a resigned smile, truly bewildered by what had happened. Gladys glanced at Lorna and said,

"I don’t know why, but after seeing him, Lorna’s problem seemed to have been resolved. Perhaps he has some kind of special ability?"

"Don’t make it sound like I’m some sort of wish-granting star; I have no idea what help she actually needed from me."

Feng Yuan said speechlessly, truly unclear about what had occurred. Du Yanlan looked at Gladys, then at Lorna, as if understanding something, said,

"I’m not sure, Lorna is a Spirit Beast from the Mythical Era, I don’t know exactly what the situation is."

Dou Yanlan paused, she had thought Lorna was similar to Gladys, waiting for someone to cross through time, but this seemed a bit off; at least from what she understood from Feng Yuan, it appeared the Mythical Era was a past that couldn’t be returned to, so why...

"Is it really impossible to return to the Mythical Era, or do you have some special method?"

Feng Yuan, who was grooming Xiao Ji’s feathers, paused and looked at Dou Yanlan and said,

"What are you trying to do? It’s a foregone conclusion that we can’t return to the Mythical Era. In other words, that period of time has been sealed off, there isn’t even a fake time to speak of, so how would you return?"

"You can’t do it either?"

Seeing Dou Yanlan’s serious expression, Feng Yuan thought for a while before saying,

Hearing Feng Yuan’s explanation, both Agunas and Veronia seemed somewhat disappointed, while Lorna didn’t seem affected. Dou Yanlan looked at Feng Yuan and said,

"If, by chance, you do something in the future, will there be a manifestation of it now?"

"No, if I truly did that, the entire timeline would undergo colossal changes. Moreover, interventions from the future are just possibilities. When the impact of such a possibility is too great, it won’t manifest at past or present points in time."

After thinking it over, Feng Yuan said,

"Just like the Great Li Dynasty; if I were to whimsically return to the past at some point in the future and destroy the entire Divine Land Region, then this possibility would not manifest before it happens, neither in the present nor the past, since it runs completely contrary to the current timeline."

"Likewise, returning to the Mythical Era would have the same impact as destroying the Divine Land Region. Even if it’s just the act of returning, it would cause significant repercussions; hence, this possibility would show no signs in the present or the past."

On the side, Qi Chen felt a headache coming on. He found that when Feng Yuan explained things related to time, he would start to get confused no matter how much he listened. Dou Yanlan looked at Lorna with an inexplicable expression. If what Feng Yuan said is impossible, then what exactly is going on? Could her guess have been wrong?

Gladys was surprised as she looked at Feng Yuan; she hadn’t expected him to genuinely have the ability to return to the past. However, she also understood that the likelihood of Feng Yuan’s return to the Mythical Era causing Lorna’s situation was slim, just as he had said. While everyone was eating, they listened to Gladys recounting her travel experiences in different regions. Xiao Ji was so excited it wished it could start traveling with Feng Yuan right away. Smiling and patting Xiao Ji’s back, Feng Yuan didn’t say much; travel wasn’t urgent, at least not for a long-term plan in the near future.

Listening to Gladys’s stories, Dou Yanlan glanced at Qi Chen, who was scratching his head and chuckling softly. Although it all seemed pretty good, he was still hesitant. As for Feng Yuan? If he really wanted to, he could simply ask Gitalien for help. Its Space Gate could effortlessly traverse the Starlit Sea to reach another region. Even Agunas couldn’t do what Gitalien could, after all, this is the exclusive prerogative of a Space Divine Beast.

"Being on good terms with Gitalien really is enviable; I had to wait a long time for the regional ship back in the day,"

Gladys teased, to which Feng Yuan smiled and replied,

"In fact, even after graduation, I don’t plan to ask Gitalien to open a gate. The time spent waiting for a cruise ship might just be a wonderful memory～"

Remembering, Gladys smiled and said,

"What about you? Are you tempted? How about considering a round-the-world trip after graduation?"

Feng Yuan teased, looking at Qi Chen, who was taken aback before turning to Dou Yanlan and saying,

"If nothing unexpected happens, I think it would be a good choice～"
