Divine Beast Creator
Chapter 831 - 832

Chapter 831: 832

"Gold mine? Couldn’t you have just reported that directly?"

Wu Feng was puzzled, as gold mines were generally only used for making jewelry. Although gold is a precious metal, it wasn’t particularly valuable to Beast Tamers, so Wu Feng didn’t pay much attention to it. This held true for Great Xia as well; if not for pure gold being able to be melded with special Spirit Materials to forge specific special alloys, it would merely serve a decorative purpose.

Feng Yuan revealed a strange smile and said,

"Just an example. Don’t you want to know what’s really here?"

"Don’t beat around the bush, the follow-up work for the Tower of Oblivion is quite troublesome."

Wu Feng said irritably. Unlike Feng Yuan, who could just leave after assigning blame, he still had to deal with the new tower and those spatial manifestations that had appeared before. It would take days to resolve them completely.

"Hashir Mine, are you sure you’re not interested? Otherwise, I might just move all of it away~"

"Hashir Mine? What’s that?"

Wu Feng looked confused and exchanged glances with the Fire Vermilion Bird, who seemed just as puzzled. Wu Xiaowu then recalled and said,

"What in the world is that? I’ve never even heard of that."

Seeing their reactions, Feng Yuan said somewhat disappointedly,

"I thought you’d be surprised. Really annoying, you guys don’t recognize the value."

"We don’t know everything."

Wu Feng rolled his eyes speechlessly. He specialized in combat, Wu Xiaowu in strategy; they divided their tasks that way. As for knowing everything? That was impossible. Not to mention, just seeing the number of books in the Maomu Grand Library was proof enough; that was just one location’s collection. Aside from Guo Huai’s trifles, no one could truly understand all documentation.

"Ugh!"

Feng Yuan pouted and stamped his foot,

"Right beneath our feet is a Hashir Mine. This stuff can be considered a strategic resource. Although I’m not clear what modern technology can do with it, I can tell you, it’s a specialty from the Mythical Era. As far as I know, this is the only place it exists."

"That’s of no use."

Wu Xiaowu said indifferently. Such a rare metal held little research value, but Feng Yuan, still smiling, said,

"Really? It’s a necessary metal for creating Divine Artifacts from the Mythical Era. Are you sure? If it’s truly useless, I might as well move all of it away~"

"A metal for creating Divine Artifacts? And it’s necessary? We need to let the researchers from Featherwood Research Institute come here to verify that."

Wu Xiaowu was not fooled. She knew very well that she and Wu Feng had no understanding of such things, but they could arrange for researchers from the institute to come. Especially since because of the Tower of Oblivion, Featherwood City housed a rather comprehensive research institute dealing with everything related to Spirit Beasts.

Though rare, and possibly not enough to create energy-producing weapons, the shadow of war was gradually looming; rarity didn’t mean it couldn’t become a trump card. However, everything still awaited a report from the research institute.

Rubbing her temples, Wu Xiaowu felt a headache coming on. It was clear Feng Yuan was reluctant to interact with the Featherwood Special Duty Team. In that case, it was up to her and Wu Feng to intervene, but they really had no better solutions due to their age.

"What are you doing..."

Observing the metal ring Xiao Ji had smelted, Agunas was surprised. Feng Yuan, looking proud, patted Xiao Ji’s head, ignoring his angry gaze and said,

"A Nien Wheel ornament. Didn’t I mention it before? Just couldn’t find the right material for a while. Do you want one?"

Feng Yuan looked at Veronia, who was admiring flowers. After a moment of thought, she nodded her head. Feng Yuan, looking smug, said,

"Then I’ll make five~"

"Five?"

"You, Veronia, mine, and those for Qi Chen and Xiao Ji. Exactly five~"

Feng Yuan dared not make too many of those. An artifact that, no matter how small, still held the ability to manipulate celestial phenomena was not to be taken lightly. Even with reduced scale, Feng Yuan was not about to give up this feature. Without it, Feng Yuan considered the Nien Wheel no better than an ornament.

"Why not make them for Lorraine Tower as well?"

Agunas flicked his tail disdainfully and looked at him. Feng Yuan shook his finger,

"No need, they might not even like it, and if they really want one, they can simply ask Delong Tower for scraps to assemble."

Feng Yuan didn’t doubt that Lorraine Tower could produce something similar; it was just unnecessary, and making too many was also troublesome—who knew if someone could alter their function in the future.

"Have your researchers not arrived yet?"

Feng Yuan said impatiently. Wu Feng had already notified the research institute, but they had not yet arrived. Checking his phone, Wu Feng also felt discontent with the research institute. After a while, he hung up the phone and said,

"They said they temporarily can’t spare anyone. Bastards!"

No matter what, could they not send someone to take a look? Wu Feng really didn’t understand the thought process of those people at the Featherwood Research Institute. Were they talking about researching the Tower of Oblivion? The old tower is gone, so what’s there to study about the new one? Why not just ask Feng Yuan and get everything clear?

At least, that’s how Wu Feng saw it. Wu Xiaowu said with some helplessness,

"Why don’t you go back first? We’ll handle this later."

"Whatever, I’ll just take some stuff back with me."

Feng Yuan said as he looked towards Agunas, who reluctantly flipped open his book. At that moment, Veronia said disdainfully,

"Why make it so complicated?"

With a wave of her tiny hand, a massive light blue energy cube pressed down from the air, shearing off a piece of the earth. Shaking her cherished orb, Veronia gave Agunas a challenging look and said,

"Isn’t this easier?"

"You!"

Agunas, somewhat indignant, closed his book with a snap and swiped a claw to open the Space Gate. As Feng Yuan left, Wu Xiaowu said with some resignation,

"It seems this stuff has nothing to do with Featherwood City anymore..."

"Why?"

Wu Feng was puzzled and shrugged as Wu Xiaowu said,

"Because they have researchers there too. If it was really useful, the Featherwood Research Institute couldn’t stop the orders from the Great Xia Research Institute."

"Hey! This is the male dormitory!"

As soon as he returned to the dorm, Feng Yuan was startled by Meng Binglan who was standing in the room. Seeing Feng Yuan’s return, Meng Binglan approached and asked,

"Do you have any technical data about the new Tower of Oblivion?"

"What would you use that for?"

"To study, what else?"

Feng Yuan, looking at Meng Binglan with a smile, said,

"Study that thing? It’s the result of multiple Divine Beasts’ efforts. What could you possibly use from it? Though there is an interesting thing you might want to look at."

"What thing?"

Meng Binglan didn’t ask further seeing Feng Yuan wasn’t willing to provide. In fact, it would be a hassle if Feng Yuan actually gave all the technical data, as that tower was too special. If someone obtained complete data, no one knew if it would tempt someone to sabotage the tower. It was better to research it slowly, like with the old tower. But the interesting thing mentioned by Feng Yuan did catch her interest.

"Interested in Hashir Metal?"

Casually pulling out a small piece of Hashir Metal from his pocket, Feng Yuan said proudly. Picking up the fragment, Meng Binglan said surprisedly,

"This is that legendary metal from the Mythical Era? But it’s useless, right? After all, there’s none of it in the modern world."

"What if I told you that a vein of Hashir Mine has been discovered in Featherwood City?"

"What!"

Meng Binglan was stunned for a moment, then grabbed Feng Yuan’s shoulders, looked around, and whispered,

"This isn’t the place to talk. Can you come with me for a moment?"

"Uh... hey!"

Being pulled by Meng Binglan, Feng Yuan somewhat speechlessly shook off her hand and said,

"What are you doing? It’s not unsafe here or anything."

"If it really is Hashir Mine, that’s significant."

Meng Binglan said, her warning gaze sweeping across Qi Chen who looked somewhat confused, completely unaware of what was happening. Feng Yuan yawned and said without a care,

"That stuff is in Featherwood City, their research institute seems to..."
