Chapter 830: Chapter 831 Gold Mine
"I’ve found something interesting here, you might be interested,"
Veronia, seeming to recall something, lightly tugged at the corner of Feng Yuan’s clothes and spoke, while Feng Yuan looked at her somewhat puzzledly and said,
"What interesting thing?"
"You’ll know once you see it."
Veronia didn’t explain and merely smiled mysteriously, then thought for a moment and said to Wu Feng beside her,
"I’m leaving first, handle the rest on your own. And don’t let them come looking for me."
"Hey!"
Wu Feng tried to keep Feng Yuan by his side, but she transformed into Little Husky and was carried into the sky by Xiao Ji, who clutched her neck. Meanwhile, Lorraine Tower had also disappeared from the place without anyone noticing, and that group had long since each employed their own means to leave. Only Wu Feng and his sister were left standing alone on the small hill, causing Wu Feng to sigh with some helplessness and say,
"I don’t understand what’s actually happening... what to say..."
"Just repeat what you’ve seen. As for the rest, I trust they’ll consider it themselves."
Wu Xiaowu said indifferently, believing they definitely had more complete information about Feng Yuan. If he truly didn’t wish to contact them, it was unlikely those people would come looking.
"Is there something strange about this mountain?"
Feng Yuan looked doubtfully at the small mountain before him. Even after scanning it with his Divine Sense, he did not notice anything unusual. It was just a common small hill in the south, covered with various wild trees, but that was it—no special Spiritual Medicine or Spirit Material.
Agunas, equally puzzled, said,
"Seems like there’s some special force? An aura from the Mythical Era? Is it just my imagination?"
Veronia, standing triumphantly on a flower, said,
"You’re not wrong, there are fragments of the Mirror Realm underneath."
"Then? Why don’t you just recover it yourself?"
Agunas spoke disdainfully, as those things were useless to him, and even more so for Feng Yuan. Veronia, standing on tiptoe on the flower and turning around, clicked her tongue and gestured with her fingers,
"I can’t recover that stuff right now; it has already transformed into a special ore vein."
"Hashir Mine, I believe you are familiar with this item, right?"
Veronia looked provocatively at Agunas, who paused for a moment. Of course, he was familiar with it—Hashir Metal was the most common metal used in forging Divine Artifacts during the Mythical Era. Indeed, to create Divine Artifacts from the Mythical Era, anything could be lacking, but Hashir Metal was indispensable.
"Mirror Realm could transform into that?"
Agunas was somewhat incredulous. Not just Hashir Metal, but various special ore veins and plants had perished with the end of the Mythical Era. Now, suddenly claiming those items had reappeared seemed preposterous to Agunas.
"In theory, there shouldn’t be any problem. The Mirror Realm itself belongs to a rather complete world. If its essence has not returned to the world itself after shattering, its transformation into any substance wouldn’t be surprising,"
Feng Yuan explained. If it were fragments from the Mirror Realm transformed, bypassing the great extinction after the Mythical Era was only logical since the Mirror Realm and the real world are interconnected yet cannot directly affect each other. Feng Yuan thought for a moment, then looked at Veronia and asked,
"What are you planning to do? Restore it back into fragments of the Mirror Realm or mine it?"
Shaking her head, Veronia, sitting on a petal swinging her little feet, said,
"No need, I can’t maintain such a massive Mirror Realm right now."
"It’s you, though—don’t you need Hashir Metal?"
Veronia looked at Feng Yuan somewhat surprised. Even during the Mythical Era, that material was highly sought after, with numerous fierce wars fought over Hashir Metal.
"I do need some, but not that much."
Once Feng Yuan understood what this place was, he changed his sensing method. Sure enough, he discovered the enormous Hashir Mine beneath the mountain. Although these Hashir Metals were not much compared to the Mythical Era, they were a terrifying strategic resource for this era.
After some thought, Feng Yuan decided to summon Wu Feng. He didn’t bother contacting the local Special Duty Team. Since Featherwood City was Wu Feng’s territory, he could just leave the matter to him while taking some Hashir Metal as compensation.
Thinking this, Feng Yuan took out his phone and dialed Wu Feng’s number. After hanging up, he stroked Xiao Ji and said,
"Could you please help guide Wu Feng and his team here?"
"Can’t you just let the Vermilion Bird bring them here?"
Agunas asked, puzzled. Veronia glanced at Agunas and scoffed,
"Try sending out the coordinates from here. If you’re clueless, better stay quiet."
"You!"
Seeing Agunas and Veronia quarrel again, Feng Yuan rubbed his temples with a hint of resignation. Veronia was right; the influence of the Hashir Metal caused spatial coordinates to constantly shift. Most coordinate-based information transfers here were interfered with. Only spatial powers on par with Gitalien’s were unaffected.
Xiao Ji nuzzled Feng Yuan reluctantly before flying up into the sky. The Little Green Snake hissed at Agunas who, after a pause, flicked his tail and said,
"It should be fine. It’s just a few days; it should be okay."
"What’s wrong?"
Feng Yuan asked curiously, not understanding what the Little Green Snake had asked. Agunas, supporting his head with his tiny paws, responded,
"The Little Green Snake wants to rush back. It’s worried Big Cat isn’t taking good care of Pomiti."
Due to the special circumstances at the Tower of Oblivion, Feng Yuan hadn’t brought Pomiti; instead, he had left Pomiti in Big Cat and Qi Chen’s care. It was normal for the Little Green Snake to be worried. Smiling at the Little Green Snake, Feng Yuan said playfully,
"In that case, why don’t you send it back?"
"Doesn’t it need to help?"
Agunas asked, puzzled. Nodding, Feng Yuan, hands cradling his head, replied,
"Right, it can’t help much by staying here. The guarding duties here should definitely be handled by Great Xia themselves. The Tower of Oblivion has already been dealt with. Were it not for the Hashir Mine, we could all have gone back by now."
After some thought, Agunas really couldn’t see any reason for the Little Green Snake to stay. Waving his claw, he opened a Space Gate. As soon as the gate opened, Big Cat, meowing pitifully, dashed through. Feng Yuan, somewhat speechless, picked up Pomiti who was clutching the plumage on Big Cat’s back and asked,
"What are you two up to?"
Big Cat, with a ’look at this demon’ expression, meowed at Pomiti, complaining about its misdemeanors. Without needing Agunas’s translation, Feng Yuan could guess what had happened. It was just Pomiti causing various accidents during its confused moments. Unlike the Little Green Snake, which directly instructed Pomiti on what it should do, Big Cat, ignorant of the full situation, only told Pomiti what it shouldn’t do.
With Pomiti behaving like that, telling it anything was truly pointless and thus it had caused a lot of trouble for Big Cat lately.
"Alright, you don’t need to help take care of it anymore."
Feng Yuan, amused, stroked the back of Big Cat, whose back feathers had been quite plucked by Pomiti. Big Cat nuzzled Feng Yuan, meowing in a woeful manner. The Little Green Snake swept a glance at Big Cat and slapped its tail, making Pomiti sit directly on the ground. After all, the area was overgrown with wild grass and there was no fear of Pomiti getting itself dirty.
"You take it back first, and you, Big Cat?"
Big Cat meowed timidly, hiding behind Feng Yuan, seemingly unwilling to stay with Pomiti any longer. Seeing this, Feng Yuan didn’t say much more. After the Little Green Snake and Pomiti had returned to the dormitory through the Space Gate, Agunas closed it and looked at Big Cat, flicking his tail,
"Aren’t you going to check your game?"
Big Cat meowed and curiously surveyed the surroundings, not quite understanding what Feng Yuan and the others were doing in this desolate place. Veronia looked at Big Cat with disdain. Though she currently lacked a mount, Big Cat didn’t seem suitable.
After a while, Xiao Ji returned with the Fire Vermilion Bird. Alighting from the Fire Vermilion Bird, Wu Feng said, somewhat puzzled,
"What have you discovered this time?"
"Does discovering a gold mine count?"
Feng Yuan said, revealing a mischievous smile.
