"Pack your things, and yeah, you should pack your luggage for winter as well. Get that ready to take with you."

As Qi Chen spoke, he rummaged through the cabinet. The thing he had grabbed to throw at Feng Yuan was a Ball Whale cushion, which, for some reason, had ended up in Qi Chen’s cabinet. He remembered it—it was a prize Feng Yuan got from an event during the New Year, and it seemed to have a bunch of messy runes or magical enchantments on it, no fear of getting dirty.

"What are you up to? Did you mess up big time and now you have to run away in the middle of the night?"

Feng Yuan looked at Qi Chen with some confusion and, turning around with a dark look on his face, asked,

"Not running away, just that the city has awarded my dad a house as a reward. It’s in East City District, all furnished, and since I have the time, I might as well move the stuff I won’t be needing temporarily over there."

"Reward? More like compensation, right? But does this mean you’re planning to move back?"

Upon hearing this, Feng Yuan understood the underlying truth. As Qi Chen packed his things, he explained,

"Not yet, but the house has been transferred to my name. There shouldn’t be any issues."

Dou Yanlan had analyzed the situation for Qi Chen before. With Lorraine Tower already a stable force, it was unlikely any wars could erupt in the near future. Plus, after the spectacle Feng Yuan and Agunas kicked up in the border areas, those fellows wouldn’t dare stir up trouble there now. Emperor Savidi, still unable to pinpoint the culprits, was currently keeping a tight watch over that region.

Though Emperor Savidi, a Divine Beast of dreams, doesn’t harm lives, he could envelop the area in months of nightmares without breaking a sweat. Because of this, the border guards have been on edge lately—not overly frightened, but eager to avoid any misunderstandings with Savidi.

"Then you go ahead with the move. I’m not in a hurry to bring my stuff over."

"You’re coming too."

Qi Chen looked at Feng Yuan and said, scratching his head in confusion, Feng Yuan asked,

"Why should I go there?"

"To bring over the stuff you won’t need."

Qi Chen said calmly. Ah Mu helped him pack on the side. Although Qi Chen would go home on weekends, he still had plenty of winter clothes in the dormitory. Looking at his cluttered cabinet, Feng Yuan puzzledly placed the Ball Whale cushion on the bed and turned to sort his own mess of belongings.

After a while, Feng Yuan managed to sort out the winter blankets and clothes. Glancing at Qi Chen, he said with a speechless tone,

"You’re not planning to rush there overnight, are you? What’s the rush?"

"No, there’s no bus service at this time. First, let’s get the items organized, and then we’ll head over in the morning."

"Hey, hey, hey, aren’t you attending classes?"

"A quick trip doesn’t necessarily require a whole morning."

Although Qi Chen wasn’t very good at keeping secrets, Feng Yuan was too lazy to ask. Perhaps Qi Chen wanted to surprise him?

"Whew- I haven’t gotten up this early in a long time―"

Yawning tiredly, Feng Yuan appeared exhausted as Qi Chen woke him up early in the morning. He wanted to linger in bed a bit longer, but remembering Qi Chen’s odd behavior the night before, Feng Yuan reluctantly crawled out of bed.

Qi Chen and Ah Mu moved the luggage down from the balcony. Looking at the pile of belongings, Feng Yuan, holding his forehead, said,

Though they had Spatial Backpacks, there were many items to pack, and it took several travel-bag-size bags to fit them all. Qi Chen, with Ah Mu’s help, could carry the bags, but for Feng Yuan, it was troublesome. Big Cat and Xiao Ji didn’t have hands, and spatial equipment didn’t allow for ’bagception,’ so Big Cat’s books simply couldn’t fit those expanded travel bags into its storage space.

Agunas floated near the ceiling and said,

"Anyway, don’t expect me to help you carry it."

"Hmph!"

Glancing over at Agunas, Feng Yuan scratched his head as Big Cat lifted the travel bag with telekinesis and let out a whimpering sound. With a flick of its tail, Little Green Snake created a Space Gate out of thin air. On the other side of the gate was a round lawn surrounded by darkness, which Feng Yuan instantly recognized as a small space created by the Little Green Snake using the power of its authority.

As he placed the travel bag into that small space, Feng Yuan looked triumphantly at Agunas and flicked his tail. Agunas turned away, ignoring Feng Yuan, but also felt surprised; it hadn’t been more than a day since Little Green Snake gained its authority, yet it already had such control over its power, which indeed was unexpected.

Just then, Qi Chen came back and upon seeing this scene, he said to Feng Yuan with some speechlessness,

"The spirit beasts you raise all seem to be anything but normal, all with weird attributes."

Not to mention Xiao Ji, who liked to spew fire and had Death Series attributes, or Big Cat, which didn’t play science research but focused on games, and now there was Little Green Snake with spatial ability. Heaven knows why these originally normal spirit beasts underwent such bizarre mutations once they came to Feng Yuan’s care.

"That shows how good my technique is~"

Feng Yuan said proudly. Agunas scanned Feng Yuan with a speechless look. What was going on with Xiao Ji and Little Green Snake, it still didn’t know? As for Big Cat, it was just a fluke. Feng Yuan glanced at Qi Chen and said,

"Need help? Put your luggage in the space as well."

After pondering for a moment, Qi Chen agreed. Although he and Ah Mu could handle those things without any problem, why wouldn’t he use Feng Yuan’s more convenient method?

Qi Chen didn’t want Qi Xiaoshuang to be exposed to such matters too early, especially since Dou Yanlan had mentioned to him that it was best not to let her get involved with those deeply hidden things beneath the surface too soon.
