Chapter 334: Chapter 334: President Huo Finally Finds Out She’s Pregnant

Tang Jiuze hardly hesitated; he scooped up An Ge, who had collapsed onto the floor, and carried her horizontally.

An Ge’s lower abdomen spasmed with sharp pain, nearly to the point of cramping.

She bit her lip hard enough to break the skin, forcing out a weak voice, "Quick, call Dr. Anna for me..."

Her voice was fractured by the pain.

She opened her mouth, wanting to explain the reason for her bleeding to Tang Jiuze, when the frosted glass door of the bathroom was kicked open from the outside by someone with force.

Their eyes met—an instant clash like lightning striking, an inferno sparked and surged swiftly between her and Huo Shaoyan.

An Ge tried to speak, attempting to explain something to Huo Shaoyan, but he cut her off first in a cold, harsh tone,

"An Xiaoge, is this how you repay me?"

An Ge froze at his words, her entire heart tightening painfully.

But there was no time for explanations—her abdomen’s violent pain didn’t allow it.

She withdrew her gaze from Huo Shaoyan and turned to Tang Jiuze who was holding her, saying, "Ignore him, hurry and call Anna..."

Tang Jiuze felt the sticky warmth of blood beneath his palm as he held An Ge, quickly deducing that she was pregnant.

An Ge was pregnant, and due to her recent fall, she was experiencing symptoms of a threatened miscarriage.

However, Huo Shaoyan had no knowledge of her pregnancy, and Tang Jiuze could sense that An Ge didn’t want him to know either.

Realizing this, Tang Jiuze didn’t dare waste another second. He prepared to carry An Ge out swiftly to find Dr. Anna when Huo Shaoyan once again blocked their path.

Face to face with Huo Shaoyan’s gaze, which seemed as though it could devour him, Tang Jiuze spoke in a dark tone:

"President Huo, this is a matter of life and death. Whatever misunderstanding exists can wait."

Huo Shaoyan had already been driven mad by the sight before him.

He couldn’t make himself calm down.

His wife, wearing only a bathrobe, was nestled in the arms of another man—the very man who had harbored significant intentions toward her in the past. It was impossible for him to stay rational.

His chest was consumed by a raging fire of anger and jealousy, rolling unstoppably within him. Now all that mattered was finding answers.

Practically before Tang Jiuze could finish his sentence, Huo Shaoyan swung his arm, throwing a punch at Tang Jiuze’s face.

Thrown off by the sudden attack, Tang Jiuze had no choice but to lower An Ge from his arms.

But he failed to dodge Huo Shaoyan’s punch.

Tang Jiuze took the hit squarely, biting down against the pain before retaliating with a blow of his own.

Huo Shaoyan, nursing injuries to his abdomen, wasn’t in any condition for physical confrontation—standing itself was challenging for him. In truth, no matter how furious he was, he wasn’t a match for a man like Tang Jiuze, who had been fit and practiced in combat for years.

Within moments, Tang Jiuze’s hard punch sent him sprawling to the ground.

Huo Shaoyan resembled a caged beast struggling against demise—even after being knocked to the ground, there wasn’t a shred of surrender in him.

As soon as his hands could push against the ground to try getting up, Tang Jiuze aimed a kick toward his wounded abdomen. Before contact, An Ge desperately called out to Tang Jiuze, "Don’t."

Tang Jiuze withdrew his foot, turning back to meet An Ge’s pain-stricken face covered in cold sweat. His voice dripped with mockery:

"Out of all the men you could’ve chosen, why pick this brainless fool?"

Clutching her agonized abdomen, An Ge managed to tug weakly at Tang Jiuze’s arm. "...Please... take me... to Anna..."

She couldn’t finish the rest of her plea. Her vision went black, and she collapsed forward.

Tang Jiuze caught her swiftly, then carried her out the door before Huo Shaoyan could catch up.

Outside the hospital room, Qin Lang happened upon the sight of Tang Jiuze carrying An Ge, whose legs were covered in blood, rushing out frantically. His entire chest felt as though it was being shaken violently.

What’s going on?

He hastily chased after Tang Jiuze. "Tang Jiuze, what did you do to our Madame..."

Tang Jiuze, clutching An Ge, practically broke into a sprint.

As Qin Lang approached him, Tang Jiuze shot him a vicious glare,

"Damn it, if you don’t want her to die, get Dr. Anna—now!"

Realizing the severity of the situation, Qin Lang didn’t dare show the slightest hesitation.

Five minutes later, An Ge was wheeled into surgery successfully.

Afterward, dripping with sweat from the effort of carrying her, Tang Jiuze faced Qin Lang’s demanding question, "What exactly did you do to our Madame..."

Tang Jiuze couldn’t be bothered to answer.

He wanted to smoke to calm his nerves and turned to head toward the smoking area.

As Qin Lang prepared to follow him, Tang Jiuze shot him another deadly glare, snarling: "Don’t follow me or I’ll beat the hell out of you!"

Qin Lang: "..."

Tang Jiuze smoked three consecutive cigarettes in the smoking section, finally quelling the restless rage boiling in his chest.

Turning to leave the area, he ran directly into Nanny Lin, returning with Huo Huaisang after their walk.

Because Tang Jiuze was close friends with An Jifeng, An Ge had intentionally called him over to gather news about An Jifeng.

An Ge had wanted privacy in her conversation with Tang Jiuze, so she’d arranged for Nanny Lin to take Huo Huaisang—the child sharing her hospital room—out for a walk.

Running into them now wasn’t entirely unexpected.

Tang Jiuze’s gaze skimmed over Nanny Lin before finally landing on Huo Huaisang.

Looking at Huo Huaisang’s handsome face, which bore an uncanny resemblance to Huo Shaoyan’s, he couldn’t help but feel a bitter pang rise in his chest.

He couldn’t understand how a scumbag like Huo Shaoyan deserved to have children.

Not just one; there were two—and soon, a third.

The more he thought about it, the more his jealousy burned fiercely, filling his eyes with a blood-red intensity.

Huo Huaisang sensed the hostility in Tang Jiuze’s gaze and frowned, his tone wary: "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Tang Jiuze crouched down, grabbing him by the collar and lifting him to eye level, demanding coldly, "Is your mother pregnant again?"

Huo Huaisang’s voice matched his chill, "What does that have to do with you?"

Tang Jiuze let out a laugh—mocking, yet not quite amused—replying sinisterly to Huo Huaisang, "Your dad doesn’t know, does he?"

Huo Huaisang’s glare grew more hostile, his tone icing over in defiance. "I’d advise you to stay out of our family’s business..."

Lowering him back to the ground, Tang Jiuze stared down at him, sneering:

"Young Master Huo, I actually pity you. Sure, you may come from wealth, but you’ve never been truly loved by your parents..."

Huo Huaisang’s emotions finally broke through as he snapped, "Shut up! My dad and mom... they love me very much..."

"Love you very much?"

Tang Jiuze’s laughter grew even more sinister. "If they truly loved you, their relationship wouldn’t be so irreparably fractured. If they loved you, your mother wouldn’t be hiding the big news of her pregnancy from your father. They’re nothing more than strangers playing the role of husband and wife. Their hearts have never been together... Eventually, they’ll go their separate ways. And you? You’ll remain stuck with parents who leave you endlessly longing for love. Tell me, isn’t that pathetic?"

Huo Huaisang’s eyes welled up from the stabbing words, turning red.

Glaring coldly at Tang Jiuze, his voice cut like ice: "That still beats a miserable, unwanted orphan like you."

Tang Jiuze’s mother, Wen Qing, was a nightclub hostess—her decent looks had led her to become one of Father Tang’s casual flings.

Tang Jiuze had been conceived under such circumstances and was born illegitimate.

Being the out-of-wedlock child of a woman who wasn’t even an ideal mother, Tang Jiuze had never experienced true parental care.

So Huo Huaisang’s words hit Tang Jiuze’s deepest nerve directly.

Yet, surprisingly, he didn’t seem particularly angry.

He found Huo Huaisang somewhat amusing.

With a mocking tone, he said: "In honor of my friendship with your mom, I can acknowledge you as my godson. How about it? Want to kneel and call me ’godfather’? If you do, you can bask in all the fatherly love you desire..."

Before Tang Jiuze could finish his sentence, Huo Huaisang viciously stomped on his foot. "Can’t you have kids of your own? What kind of nonsense godfather are you trying to be?"

Turning to the speechless Nanny Lin beside him, Huo Huaisang ordered, "Nanny Lin, let’s go."

As they walked off, Tang Jiuze shouted mockingly at Huo Huaisang’s retreating back:

"You wretch, sooner or later you’ll call me ’father!’"

...

Returning to the surgery room’s entrance, Tang Jiuze found that Huo Shaoyan had also arrived.

Seated in a wheelchair, his phoenix-like eyes fixated unwaveringly on the surgery room doors.

When Tang Jiuze approached, Huo Shaoyan shifted his gaze from the surgery room to meet his eyes.

In that brief exchange, Tang Jiuze deliberately provoked Huo Shaoyan with his words: "President Huo, you almost gave up your life for her, yet in the critical moment, you let jealousy destroy her trust in you. Tell me, just how much of an idiot are you?"

Huo Shaoyan clenched his fist tight.

If An Ge weren’t still in surgery, he would’ve already ordered his bodyguards to tie Tang Jiuze up and beat him to a pulp.

Suppressing the roaring anger in his chest, his voice was venomous: "Tang Jiuze, get out of here right now if you don’t want to die—"

Tang Jiuze didn’t leave.

Having suffered greatly at Huo Shaoyan’s hands five years ago, only to still find himself outmatched by him now, Tang Jiuze wasn’t letting up in this rare chance to provoke and disgust him.

Almost before Huo Shaoyan could finish his words, Tang Jiuze spoke again:

"President Huo, you truly lack humanity. I saved your pregnant wife’s life, and yet you shout threats at me. No one else matches your level of beast-like cruelty."

Huo Shaoyan inhaled sharply.

As the words sank in, his emotions spiraled out of control and he demanded frantically of Tang Jiuze: "What did you just say? Pregnant?"

So the blood all over her body was...

Tang Jiuze raised his eyebrows, ridiculing: "Tsk, the rumors say President Huo nearly lost his life for the sake of his cherished woman, and should’ve finally won her over. But the reality? The reality is that your wife is carrying your child, and yet she’s deliberately keeping it a secret. President Huo, tell me, why would she do that?"
