Chapter 208: Chapter 208 Kiss Me

An Ge continued speaking, "Even when you forced me into that situation back then, I never wanted you dead. I’m not as malicious as you think. I just wanted to escape with my child."

Huo Shaoyan felt uncomfortable, as if a knife had pierced his heart and then twisted, making it impossible to suppress the pain.

Looking at his increasingly reddening eyes, An Ge said, "Let’s go to the hospital."

Huo Shaoyan actually had antibodies against rabies, but he desperately needed this rare tenderness from An Ge.

He yearned for an opportunity to be alone with her; he longed to be with her...

So, he agreed.

Fu Rou watched Huo Shaoyan with very complex emotions.

No one knows a child better than their mother.

Fu Rou was certain that Huo Shaoyan would have to stumble upon An Ge again; otherwise, he would never let it go.

Fu Rou felt she couldn’t control him anymore, or rather, she couldn’t hold him down, so she was too lazy to try.

When people figure things out, everything suddenly becomes clear.

At this moment, she said to An Ge, "Ms. An, we women know each other best, I don’t believe you bear no grudge against Ah Yan. He’s completely hung up on you now. I’m getting old and can’t manage him, nor do I want to. But I’ll say this bluntly: if you ever intend to harm him, as a mother, I will make you pay twice over."

She paused, and with implied meaning, added, "Everyone has a weak spot. I’ve heard your children are adorable now, and you love them very much."

An Ge curled her lips and said nothing.

She accompanied Huo Shaoyan to the hospital, and after dealing with the wound, the two walked side by side out of the hospital building.

The early May night was breezy and exceptionally refreshing.

Under the lights, Huo Shaoyan stood in front of An Ge, blocking her from opening the car door, asking, "Why did you come looking for me tonight?"

An Ge intentionally teased him, responding sweetly, "Can’t I look for you if there’s nothing wrong?"

Huo Shaoyan looked into her eyes, his hands resting against the car on either side of her body, pressing closer to her soft body.

He leaned in until his lips were almost an inch from hers.

He did want to kiss her, but her gaze was too cold, offering him no hint of longing.

As he looked down, his eyes fell on her V-neck beneath her fair neck.

She probably came in a hurry to see him for some reason, hastily wearing a loose black dress, without even a bra. If he hadn’t been this close, it would have been hard to notice that she was bare inside, in the dim night.

From this angle, he could nearly outline the proudly erect contour.

With her now slightly rapid breathing, the proud and full outline also trembled slightly.

Huo Shaoyan closed his eyes.

He thought that any man would be unable to resist such extreme allure.

And then he considered, she had a mysteriously intriguing boyfriend. Even her entanglement with that man was intimate. Thinking about it, Huo Shaoyan felt not well.

He felt a blaze of jealousy burning his heart, even hurting his throat.

But, so what?

She no longer belonged to him.

Huo Shaoyan reopened his eyes, red with emotion.

His voice sounded hoarse, "You probably came to see me in a hurry, not even wearing a bra. So, what kind of urgency got you so tense? What sort of business made you come to find your ex-husband, who you despise so much?"

Huo Shaoyan was too insightful to be easily deceived.

An Ge could only try to divert his attention.

She ran her fingers over his furrowed brow, slowly trailing down past his high nose and thin lips, finally resting at his raised collarbone.

Like a captivating nine-tailed fox, she languidly said, "President Huo, don’t you want to kiss me?"

Huo Shaoyan’s throat moved fiercely a couple of times, saying nothing.

An Ge curled her lips, fingers trailing to a special part of his masculinity, "Or, more precisely, you want to sleep with me?"

Over the years, Huo Shaoyan had little urge for such things, assuming his ability had died along with An Ge.

Only at this moment did he realize he was wrong.

This time, he demonstrated with actions that he indeed wanted, and he couldn’t wait.

He kissed her with the intense force of a storm. Initially, An Ge was stiff, but it was brief.

She never resisted kissing him, even after all these years.

As a woman reaching maturity, she had needs too.

Men enjoyed pleasure; modern women could also "act without their hearts involved."

If someone wanted to please her, she wouldn’t mind having fun.

Like back then, he entangled with her with fun in mind from the very start.

Why couldn’t she approach it with the same mindset, toying with him and kicking him away afterward?

Thinking like that, An Ge found handling the situation more manageable.

However, considering the improper setting and the fact that her main aim wasn’t bonding with him physically, she sounded slightly spoiled as she enjoyed the kiss, "President Huo, shouldn’t we be good citizens with social responsibility? Doing such things here isn’t dignified, and my boyfriend is a violent man. If he catches me cheating, I’ll suffer greatly."

In his current state, An Ge could have asked for his life, and he’d have been willing to give it.

Now, he just wanted gratification, indifferent to her words vexing him.

Lighting a cigarette, he tried to suppress the dark fire within him and said, "Would you prefer a nearby hotel or my place?"

An Ge, remembering Huo Huaisang’s birthday, replied, "I don’t want a hotel. They aren’t clean. Let’s go to your place."

Huo Shaoyan flicked the ash, his pair of fiery Phoenix Eyes reflecting remarkably under the streetlight.

He gazed deeply at her for several moments, said cryptically, "What exactly do you want from me?"

An Ge curled her lips, sucking on his Adam’s apple, "President Huo, must you kill the mood? We women, like men, enjoy beauty. You’re good-looking, and there was a time five years ago when I was infatuated. I just want to relive that thrill—is that wrong?"

Huo Shaoyan’s voice grew raspier, "Is that all?"

An Ge chuckled softly, half-jokingly, "Maybe I want your heart too." She paused, "So, President Huo, care to give it to me?"

Huo Shaoyan extinguished the lit cigarette and hooked her waist, kissing her hard, "Right now, my life is yours for the taking."

An Ge laughed even louder, "Really?"

Huo Shaoyan narrowed his eyes, "Don’t believe me?"

An Ge replied, "Before, I said I needed your liver to save someone dear, and you lost your temper. Of course, I don’t believe you."

Huo Shaoyan finally snapped.

He pinched her jaw, his Phoenix Eyes locked unwaveringly on hers, "Don’t mention that man again, or no matter how mysterious, I’ll dig him up piece by piece—got it?"

An Ge knew Huo Shaoyan wasn’t joking casually; he certainly meant it.

She pulled back at the right moment. As she opened the car door, planning to sit in the driver’s seat, Huo Shaoyan pulled her out, "I’ll drive. You take the passenger seat."

Looking at his bandaged arm, An Ge frowned, "Can you manage?"

Huo Shaoyan’s eyes narrowed deeply, "I can!"

An Ge mocked, "Really?"

Feeling provoked by An Ge, Huo Shaoyan asked, "Want to ride me to find out?"

The intense temper burned furiously, but he kept it in check.

Over the years, his temper had become much more restrained.

Passing a birthday cake store, An Ge remarked, "Isn’t your son’s birthday tonight? I noticed An Baoying’s cake got ruined. Do you want to get another one?"

Huo Shaoyan gave her a deep look, saying, "You seem fond of my and her son? He’s not yours; better not act... extraordinary or I might suspect foul intentions."

Afraid he’d uncover her secret intention, An Ge maintained calmness, saying, "I told you ages ago, children are innocent. Adults’ grudges shouldn’t involve them."

She paused with hinted sincerity, "If mine were alive, they’d be about his age. I want to do good, earn virtue for my kids; it’s truly that simple. If you don’t believe, there’s nothing I can do."

Huo Huaisang was his biological son. How could a father not cherish his child?

Huo Shaoyan personally went into the cake shop.

Naturally, An Ge followed.

For the first time, she was celebrating her regained son’s birthday, so she was particularly invested in selecting a cake.

She asked about Huo Huaisang’s preferences, finding he liked military hardware.

An Ge had the staff make a tank-shaped birthday cake.

Due to the intricate design, it took quite some time.

When they returned to Fengqiao Villa, it was already half-past eleven at night.

Huo Huaisang wasn’t particularly excited about birthdays.

Every year, he celebrated, yet he never felt the love he desired.

This year’s birthday, disrupted by unpleasantness, he genuinely developed a shadow over celebrating birthdays.

Tossing and turning in bed, he couldn’t fall asleep.

The moment a strange presence entered his children’s room, he immediately sensed something off.

"Who’s there?"

An Ge momentarily paused, instinctively holding her breath.

But soon, she composed herself, trying to sound gentle and calm, "It’s me."
