Chapter 72: Monster

Seeing how greedy she was, even after having three elemental affinities, Noa couldn’t help but cheer inwardly.

He was proud.

A surge of emotions made his heart race, and his eyes constantly stayed on her.

Water, earth, and fire were already within her grasp.

She would already be considered a genius, as the Blooming Iron Sect had a total of seven members who could control three elements.

Three of them were elders, and only Wei Rou could harness four.

’She can do it,’ Noa thought confidently.

Then he said it as well, trying to guide her towards the next vortex.

"Now reach for the wind. It’s right behind your left elbow, waiting for you to grab it."

Mia’s ears perked up.

She heard everything Noa had said and moved accordingly.

The wind was cool to the touch. It began circling her wrist in a playful breeze, reaching all the way to her heart.

Another success!

The fourth element was within her grasp!

Now her talent was close to the sect leader’s level, proving her monstrous genius once more.

All four of them reacted.

All four of them welcomed her and remained by her side.

They glided across her skin, not leaving her side.

The more Noa and the others observed Mia, the clearer it became that not only did she have affinity with the four elements she had tested this far, but her control was exceptionally high as well.

Her perception of sensing them was S rank for a reason.

But it was only the beginning—there were three more elements to confirm.

Mia’s fingers trailed to find lightning.

It snapped at her, sending sparks around her in an instant, making her hands twitch in comfort, not in pain.

Much like the wind, it would also affect her speed, reaction, and ranged strikes.

But instead of allowing her to rule sounds, the lightning could aid her in breaking seals and the use of strong kinetic energy.

It was the fifth element.

Only strong cities or even kingdoms would have a single person who could govern over five different properties of qi.

She was guaranteed to reach higher realms and even transcend mortal life.

Someone with her talent could change countries or affect the planet itself.

Yun Qiqi continued displaying her strong sense of camaraderie with Mia, yelling each time she harnessed an additional element.

"She is going to conquer the world," she declared proudly. "Mark my words!"

Seris was watching the scene with a confused expression.

Not because she was surprised by Mia’s talent to wield almost every element, but because she wanted to know more about the product she had been using this entire time.

On paper, items that could check one’s attributes weren’t rare.

Neither were the people of her talents common before her eyes.

With the amount of experience she had, the strength was something that would never surprise her. However, something did pique her interest.

The spinner did so much more than it met the eye.

Its effects were so strange and simple at the same time that she didn’t know what to make of it.

For one, it put Mia in a state that she couldn’t just explain.

It looked like cultivation.

But it was also being in a completely calm condition with no other distractions around.

However, it also gave Mia the option of interacting with the world. Though barely, it was still enough for her to touch the glowing and spinning qi that surrounded her.

Noa’s employees had reactions that he had also noticed.

Chen Hao stood still.

The bald boy looked unsure of what was going on.

Everything was beyond him, and he had never felt this small in his entire life.

Qing Xuan rarely showed emotions. But now, even she seemed overwhelmed by them, especially since something told her from her heart that Mia wasn’t planning to stop.

Xue Hanly blinked beside her senior sister.

"She is his sister," she mumbled, locking eyes with Qing Xuan and Chen Hao. "I am not even surprised she’s doing that."

According to her logic, the logic didn’t work around Noa.

Then why would it bother with Mia?

The girl in question fought through the resistance that the qi decided to erect in front of her.

Either she was pushing too hard by leaving the calm state, or the world was against her, fearing what might happen if she awakened the sixth or possibly the seventh element as well.

Yet, she didn’t stop.

Her greedy nature won against all odds, and her hand halted inches away from the swirling darkness.

It didn’t lunge at her the same way as others did.

The shadow only wrapped around her fingers when she touched it, dancing around as if it had been waiting for her.

Shadow was a stealth art.

It was tied to assassination, curses, and forbidden techniques.

Now, even the sixth element covered her body.

The weight of these different energies pressed her down. They collided with each other, fighting like children who couldn’t share a single toy.

But instead of being a toy that they could play with, Mia was their governor.

She had a hard time using her authority, but even a tiny fraction of her will was enough to calm them down.

So she created an opening to use the last remaining force to move her hand.

Mia could no longer hear Noa’s instructions.

She had to find aether—the most chaotic and raw power in this world.

It was hiding at first.

Like it was cowering in fear, like it was too shy to show itself.

The vortex that should have been constant and unmoving tried to dodge Mia’s already weighted hands.

Every time her fingers were about to brush against it, it dodged at the last moment.

But not once did it attack her.

When Mia inhaled deeply, burning her lungs to gain one last momentum, her hands moved faster than the playful sigil.

Then—

She touched it.

For a second, nothing happened, keeping the world in its original state.

But suddenly, her eyes glowed, and other elements floated out of her body, exploding in one great blast.
