Chapter 64: Three Fate

Others were looking around the sect.

But everyone remained behind Noa, not daring to move without his permission first.

As always, only Yun Qiqi and Mia would dare to act freely.

So they had already started running around the sect grounds, studying each building with their usual curiosity.

Noa looked at his sisters for a moment.

A smile tugged under his lips before he straightened his back and announced for the remaining people to hear.

"You can spend the next ten minutes looking around," he said casually, gesturing for the disciples to leave.

Then he sought three people in particular, telling them to stay behind him.

Of course, they were Wei Rou, Chen Hao, and Feng Fan, and instead of arguing, they simply nodded, waiting for his next instructions.

Noa, meanwhile, examined the hovering system panel.

Most of the customization options, such as management, migration settings, sect rules, and everything boring, had to be dealt with by personnel themselves.

Noa had people for that and didn’t need the system for these kinds of trivial tasks.

Thankfully, the interface worked as it did in his store, allowing him to add more buildings, floors, and chambers.

He could even customize and evolve already existing ones.

But that wasn’t all.

Noa was quickly browsing through the options and found something interesting.

{Sect Destiny}

Description: A future that binds your sect is within your hands. Customize a long-term plan that your sect will follow. The choice will determine the sect’s fate and path.

{Available Paths}

–Fateless Rogue–

Description: Attracts stray cultivators and orphan prodigies.

Features: +7% breakthrough rate; more internal conflict at the start, but potential for higher unity later

–Fateless Supremacy–

Description: A corrupted fate that steals fates from others

Features: +7% cultivation speed; option to consume other sects via fate-stealing ability

–Fateless Balance–

Description: Focuses on silent work and attracts hardworking disciples

Features: +7% working speed; increased production quality; less trouble from the foreign sects

[Note: The choice is free, as every sect has its own options. But sometimes, that decision costs more than anything the sect could offer.]

Noa held his breath.

Not because he was afraid to select the path, but because the feature itself caught his eye.

’Interesting,’ he said inwardly, reading the options one more time.

All three of them looked promising, as they would allow him to strive in three different departments.

One was about rogues.

It was tied to how Feng Fan had built the sect from nothing, let alone the fact that he had been a stray cultivator before meeting Noa.

The second path was the most sinister one.

It felt like something that demonic cultivators would follow.

And even though it promised the most strength and others might lose their shit after seeing it, Noa didn’t like this option one bit.

Although he wanted to conquer planets, he preferred doing it with capital, not swords.

He was a tycoon, for heaven’s sake, not a war-obsessed warrior.

As for the last path, it also suited his needs.

More workers meant more products to sell, as it would allow him to expand his business as well.

However, it had one glaring issue.

Noa had yet to sell a single product from Ligma and didn’t know how it would turn out.

Why would he, when the items from the system were far superior to everything this world had to offer?

People didn’t go nuts over his products for nothing.

Noa spent half a minute thinking about which path to take, and another striking idea appeared in his mind.

’A tycoon should be greedy. A tycoon should think outside the box,’ he said internally, grinning.

Instead of taking a single route, Noa would take everything.

No one said that he could only own a single sect.

So why would he limit himself to one fate when he could take them all?

Now the answer was clear.

Noa would adopt the first fate, as it was closer to his current vision.

Yes, the workers were good, but so were rogue cultivators who could offer him immediate safety outside of the store.

As for the laborers, he could just hope to get the same path when he creates the next sect.

’Let’s do this,’ he thought, and pressed the system panel.

All his spectators saw was Noa’s silent shudder and nothing else.

After that, the hovering interface glowed faintly and shook for a moment, registering his command and putting it to work.

Then it stabilized itself like nothing had happened.

There was no visible change around the sect either.

However, Noa had no doubts that it had already taken effect, believing that the system would never fuck up over this simple task.

Instead of waiting for the changes to occur, Noa browsed more.

He also found something that he hadn’t expected.

The building prices were cheaper here compared to the room prices in the store.

{Alchemy Chamber}

Description: A vast space where pills and elixirs can be concocted.

Features: Pill crafting, spiritual elixirs refinement, alchemist requirement

Customizable: flasks, heat formation, spiritual seals

Rarity: Rare

Price: 6 TP

Noa didn’t even hesitate and pressed the purchase button.

The moment his fingers retreated from the system panel, the ground around the courtyard split.

The wind moved quickly to disperse the surrounding mist.

No one found a moment to question what was going on when ancient runes covered the soil, bursting tall pillars upward.

It happened too quickly.

The stony walls materialized with a soft glow.

A polished metallic roof also appeared and covered the walls.

Everything snapped into place perfectly, making clicking sounds as alchemy formations coated the sky.

Soon, the complete building stood proudly.

A silence settled over the sect grounds, causing dissipated members to show up.

They all watched the scene with awe, but there were more emotions even they couldn’t explain.

One elder stepped forward.

She touched the freshly built building, feeling its foreign energy.

Qi flooded the walls, but it was too much for a single human to harness or even feel.

"I-Is this an alchemy hall?" she muttered, trying not to lose her cool.

Seeing this, Noa ignored the eyes that darted between his back and the building and dusted his hands, acting like he had built it with his very hands.

"It looks good, right?" he asked. "Who wants to go in?"
