Dimensional Tycoon: I Make Trillions in Every World -
Chapter 50: New World
Chapter 50: New World
"I-Is this freaking portal?" Mia asked, her voice cracking.
"Yep," Noa agreed casually.
Mia froze.
Her eyes didn’t blink—they only reflected the blue light from the rift.
She experienced both awe and fear.
"Another country... or another world?" she then asked.
Noa remained calm.
He took one step closer to the portal as Yun Qiqi moved beside him.
"Another world," Noa answered. "Just like the stories we both love."
Mia gulped.
"Isekai," she muttered, remembering the specific genre. "What is that world like? Does it have monsters? Do you possess any superpowers? Will I gain one as well?"
She loved asking questions.
The same way as Yun Qiqi when she had teleported to Earth.
As for the rift, it continued to expand, releasing blue, glowing mist with each passing second.
"Big Brother Noa is basically god there," Yun Qiqi added.
Mia looked at her in disbelief.
"What?" she questioned.
Noa, however, grinned and held out a hand to her.
"Follow us and see for yourself," he offered.
Staring into the portal, feeling its presence, magical properties, and impossible nature, she reached out to his hand.
Mia also held Yun Qiqi’s hand.
"You know I won’t decline an offer like this," she said and took the first steps, taking the lead.
Noa chuckled.
"I knew you would like this," he said, following her.
The moment they stepped inside the portal, the park vanished behind them.
An echoing sound reverberated in their ears.
Shifting the vision, their senses were confused for a moment as every color blended into each other.
Only motion existed.
Even thoughts were too fleeting.
Then, with a shudder, Mia’s feet touched something solid.
Her eyes quickly adjusted.
She was standing inside the store, and before she questioned the reality, Noa and Yun Qiqi appeared beside her.
Shelves around her were filled with products—items she could easily recognize.
A hint of understanding appeared in her eyes, her heart pounding.
She was in another world.
Not on Earth.
Not in the Milky Way Galaxy.
But somewhere else—far from everything she knew.
"This is insane!" she called out.
There was no one inside the store, causing Noa’s brows to twitch in surprise.
The system decided to offer a quick explanation.
[It’s been only one day since you left Ligma. Time isn’t as constant as everyone believes. Especially when dimensional gates are involved, as they are affecting reality itself.]
’Great,’ Noa thought, glancing at his sister.
He was glad that he hadn’t wasted too much time.
As for Mia, she walked around the store, studying every little detail about it.
Yet no matter how hard she tried, there was nothing unusual inside the shop—it looked just like an ordinary convenience store.
"I know what you are thinking about," Noa said, eyeing her.
"It’s real. All of this?" she answered with a question.
Noa, however, shook his head, watching her reactions with amusement. "No, I mean, I know you think this place looks too ordinary for the fantasy stories you are used to."
Mia exhaled.
"And still, it’s enough to make me freak out a little. But I still want to know how this teleportation worked."
Noa shrugged at her question.
What could he say when he had no idea how this rift operated?
[It uses spatial compression and connects dimensional bridges by bending the rules of science. There are tunnels between every object in the universe, and this portal utilizes quantum entanglement...]
The system tried to explain, but Noa yelled in his head.
’Stop it. I don’t need to know that. I couldn’t even understand a single word you just said.’
[It was bullshit anyway,] the system joked.
Ignoring his robotic assistant, Noa neared the entrance door.
"I am a Dimensional Tycoon," he announced to Mia. "And this is the Xianxia world with cultivators and martial artists."
Mia blinked this time, staring at him with curious eyes.
"You mean martial practitioners who harvest qi from the world... flying swords and spiritual energy so strong that they could even surpass the heavens?"
"Yep," Noa nodded calmly.
"So my brother dragged me into a cultivation web novel and asked me to work in his store?" she muttered.
Noa didn’t deny it.
He just turned slowly and opened the door, allowing the dim light to seep into the store.
The long night hadn’t ended yet.
It stretched endlessly despite the stillness that lingered outside.
"Let’s go," Noa said, telling both of his sisters to follow him. "We can see how the night looks in this world."
Mia took the first step.
Though she was still confused and had a hard time making sense of the situation, she was just as excited to explore this unknown world.
With each step, she felt lighter.
Qi that existed in the store weighed her body, but after going outside, it started thinning.
She was quick to notice this change.
"What was it?" she asked, halting her steps.
Noa narrowed his eyes.
The only reason he could feel qi in the store was because it was his, allowing him to sense spiritual energy without the ability to control it.
But Mia sensed it.
It meant that she could start cultivating at any moment she wanted.
"Qi," he answered shortly, pausing. "We will get to that later. Now, let me show you what Hollow Jade City has to offer. But... we can’t go too far."
Mia nodded and walked between Noa and Yun Qiqi.
There were no signs of modern life she was used to, as wide streets were paved with rough stones and traditional buildings glowed in the darkness.
Instead of wires and street lamps, lanterns lit the roads.
Some shops looked strange as well.
They had wooden signboards, advertising elixirs, herbs, and spiritual products—things Mia had believed were part of the fantasy only moments ago.
To her, it felt like the pages of Xianxia novels came to life.
And before Noa decided it was time to go back inside the store, soft footsteps neared them.
"Who is this?" Mia asked, her heart falling to her stomach.
Noa shrugged.
He didn’t know who the person was—only that someone walked in their direction in the middle of the night.
