Chapter 421 Forever
Chapter 421: Chapter 421 Forever
"Do you, Sebastian Carter," the priest began, "take Lilith Parker to be your lawfully wedded wife? To love her, honor her, protect her, in darkness and in light, in strength and in weakness, for all the days of your life?"
Ray’s lips curved into the softest smile that innocent, bright smile only Lilith ever got to see. He squeezed her fingers tight, his voice steady but sweet as he looked right into her eyes.
"I do."
The priest turned to Lilith, whose eyes were locked on him with that same sharp, stormy tenderness. Her lips parted softly as the priest spoke again:
"And do you, Lilith Parker, take Sebastian Carter to be your lawfully wedded husband? To stand by him, to guard him, to cherish him through every season and storm, for all the days of your life?"
Lilith’s eyes never left his. She nodded once then said, her voice low but steady,
"I do."
The priest’s own smile was warm. "By the power vested in me, and in the witness of your family and loved ones... I now pronounce you husband and wife."
Ray didn’t even wait for the words, he pulled her closer, cupped her face so tenderly as if she might break, then kissed her slow and deep.
The applause rose around them like waves crashing on the shore. Ava shrieked happily, Rose wiped her eyes, Loki looked away pretending not to care and in that moment, every vow, every promise, every secret heartache... was sealed with that kiss.
Forever.

Ray still holding Lilith so close that her cheek brushed against his jaw, pulled back just enough to look at her. His grin was impossibly wide, like a boy who’d just been given the world. He kissed her forehead once, twice, then spun her around dramatically, making her veil flutter and everyone laugh.
Ava squealed and threw her arms around Nova, who just lifted her off her feet in a hug that made her giggle even louder. Nina clapped loudly, her camera phone flashing as she caught every stolen glance between the new husband and wife.
Loki sitting in Rose’s lap was glaring at the couple with narrowed eyes, grumbling under his breath about "shameless humans" while Rose rubbed his fluffy ears lovingly.
Storm and Asher are emotional—they just met their sister, and she’s already leaving them.
Hannah and Liam stood off to the side, hands entwined. Hannah wiped the corner of her eyes with her knuckles while Liam kissed her hair. "They’re really happy, huh?" he murmured, and Hannah only nodded with a soft smile.
Ethan already slightly tipsy from the champagne tower dragged Tara to the dance floor that had been set up on the lush green lawn. "Come on, come on! It’s time to dance for the bride and groom!" Tara squeaked out a protest but giggled when Ethan spun her clumsily, almost stepping on her toes.
Krystal stood near the edge of the party, talking to Lennox and Daisy. The older couple had tears in their eyes too — Daisy pressed a delicate handkerchief to her eyes.
Sir Sparkleton and Miss Sparkleton rolled around the venue, the two robots hilariously "guarding" the cake table and bickering in their beeps and whirs. Rose kept sneaking cookies behind Sir Sparkleton’s back, who dramatically beeped every time he caught her.
The live band struck up a soft, dreamy tune and Gray (back now, his eyes clearer and calmer) pulled Lilith back in his arms. He kissed the inside of her wrist, tracing the new ring with his lips.
"Ready to dance with your husband, Mrs. Carter?" he teased, his voice a low purr only she could hear.
Lilith’s eyes glimmered..that same dangerous, breathtaking glimmer as she smirked and whispered back, "Try to keep up, Mr. Carter."
And so, under drifting petals, they stepped onto the dance floor, the Devilsh Secretary and her complicated, beautiful, unstoppable man swaying together like they had all the time in the world.
The night was young. Their forever had only just begun.

After the cheers and music of their wedding faded into the night, Alexander didn’t let go of Lilith’s hand even for a second. He personally helped her into the luxurious black car waiting for them, tucking her dress so it wouldn’t get caught in the door. He didn’t say much on the drive, just held her hand tightly, his thumb brushing the edge of her new ring as if he still couldn’t believe she was really his.
When they arrived, Lilith blinked in surprise. This wasn’t Rose Manor. Instead, a new house stood before them was bigger, grander, and more beautifully designed than she’d imagined. Warm lights glowed behind tall windows framed by delicate curtains. Roses bloomed along the pathway, their soft petals brushing against her dress as they walked to the entrance.
Alexander leaned down near her ear. "Do you like it?" he asked, his voice husky, eyes filled with so much raw emotion it made her heartbeat stutter. "I built it for you. For us."
Lilith didn’t speak. She only squeezed his hand tighter.
Inside, the house smelled faintly of roses and fresh wood. Every corner felt warm and alive– full of light, not cold like some lifeless mansion. Personal touches were everywhere: bookshelves lined with titles she liked, soft throws on the velvet couches, and fresh flowers arranged in glass vases.
When he guided her up the grand staircase, Lilith’s eyes widened again. Their wedding room or rather, their new shared bedroom looked like something out of a fairytale. Rose petals were scattered over the massive king-sized bed, whose silky white sheets shimmered in the gentle light. Thick curtains framed tall windows that overlooked the moonlit garden, and candles flickered here and there, casting a soft, golden glow across the room.
Her luggage was already placed neatly to the side but Alexander didn’t let her focus on anything except him. He stepped closer, brushing his knuckles across her cheek, tilting her chin so she would look only at him.
"You’ve been mine from the moment you walked into my life," he whispered, his voice low and rough. "But tonight... you’re mine forever."
Lilith’s lips curved into a smile that was equal parts devilish and tender. "Then don’t waste time, Mr. Carter."
And as he lifted her into his arms, carrying her across the soft carpet toward their bed.
