Chapter 1327: Trying To Play God
...King Solomon’s voice was firm, unwavering.
"Because I said so."
Enel’s fists clenched, his eyes burning with barely contained fury, but Solomon continued before he could speak.
"Even if you somehow managed to reach that place, you would never be able to enter." His golden scepter gleamed under the ethereal glow of the Mirror of Time. "Not without a pure soul... or the keys."
Enel’s gaze flickered back to the gates.
And there they were.
Three keyholes, perfectly carved into different sections of the towering structure. Each one pulsed faintly, as if waiting for something—no, for someone.
But before Enel could even process his next move—
Solomon waved his scepter.
The Mirror of Time let out a deep, resonant hum.
And then—
It shut down.
The once-flowing images of cosmic truths, of paths unseen, of the very fabric of reality itself—vanished.
The light faded. The surface of the mirror became still.
Nothing but an empty reflection.
Enel’s body moved before his mind did.
He lunged—grabbing Solomon by his robes, his fingers twisting into the fine silk, pulling him close.
His breath was ragged, his voice desperate.
"Why would you do that?" His eyes bulged, overflowing with sheer, unfiltered desire. "Why would you take that away from me?!"
Solomon did not flinch.
Instead, his own hands shot forward—gripping Enel’s collar just as tightly, yanking him forward until their faces were mere inches apart.
And then—
Solomon spoke.
"Because that place does not deserve you."
His voice echoed in the vast chamber.
Enel’s breath hitched—his rage flickering for just a second.
Solomon’s grip tightened.
"A soul must be pure to reach Heaven, Lenny. But it was never in human nature for a soul to be pure. It never was."
His eyes burned with conviction.
"And so, I created this." He gestured around them, his voice rising with intensity.
"This palace. This realm of everlasting joy. This place of eternal glory."
He shook Enel slightly, as if willing him to understand.
"Look around you!" he roared. "Can’t you see what greatness I have brought? What glory I have created for mankind?"
His eyes gleamed, sharp and piercing.
"Those of exceptional talent, of immeasurable greatness, of unfathomable achievement—those who could not make it into Heaven," Solomon spat the word, "come here."
He exhaled sharply.
"Regardless of whether their souls are pure or not."
The words hung between them, thick with weight.
But Enel’s expression remained rigid.
His voice, a whisper—
"What about those who no longer want to stay here? Those who want something... better?"
For the first time, Solomon paused and his face darkened.
And then—
He smiled.
But this smile... It was not warm. It was not kind.
It was the smile of a ruler.
Of a king.
A shadow loomed behind him, as if his very presence was expanding, growing too large for the space around him.
His voice was calm. Too calm.
"Lenny..."
Solomon’s golden eyes bore into him, as though seeing through his very soul.
"You have been to the Nether Realm before."
A statement, not a question.
Enel swallowed. Not in fear, but in a knowing that was beginning to surface in his mind--an actualization of a truth that was digging out a subconsciously buried grave.
"Yes." Enel replied.
"And you have seen the Castle of Accords."
His hands trembled slightly.
But he nodded.
Solomon’s grip on his collar loosened—just slightly.
And then he leaned in.
And whispered—
"Just as this palace is built upon greatness..."
A pause.
A beat.
A chilling silence.
And then—
"The Castle of Accords is built upon the bones of those who were once great."
A realization struck Enel’s mind like a lightning bolt.
His breath hitched.
The Castle of Accords in the Nether Realm—
A near perfect replica of this palace.
But whereas this palace stood tall, pristine, and magnificent—radiating glory and grandeur—
The Castle of Accords was its twisted reflection.
A monstrosity built from the bones and flesh of the dead, and undead.
The witches of old had always claimed that King Solomon created the Castle of Accords as part of his deal with the Knights of the Nether.
A deal that allowed those of the Nether to attempt a takeover of reality.
A deal that gave humans the ability to wield magic, to seek power, to carve their own destiny.
But the demons had corrupted that balance.
They poisoned the minds of men, turning their ambition into greed, their will into destruction.
And so—
The apocalypse came.
Earth after earth had fallen.
But right now, Enel’s mind moved beyond the stories, beyond the myths, beyond the carefully woven lies.
His gift awakened.
A gift born from his connection to those women who carried the Fruit of Knowledge whom he had laid with.
A thought formed.
A question rose.
A possibility so terrifying that it shook him to his core.
’What if... this was never about giving humans power?’
What if Solomon had not created the Castle of Accords just to provide the world with negative energy?
What if it was all part of a grander scheme?
Not to empower mankind—
But to fuel his own heaven.
The Palace of Solomon.
A perfect, unshakable kingdom—sustained by the suffering of those trapped in the Castle of Accords.
Because in the end—
There must always be balance.
Negative and positive.
Light and dark.
Heaven and Hell. One could not exist without the other.
And if the One Above All had created their Heaven at the cost of Hell’s suffering—
Then was Solomon not simply doing the same?
The thought slammed into him like a physical force.
His heart pounded.
His breathing quickened.
And then, slowly—He turned to look at Solomon.
But this time—
He saw him differently.
His voice, though low, shook with something raw.
"In the outside world, you are dead." His fists clenched.
"But here... it is different."
A sharp inhale.
And then—A whisper.
A question, filled with accusation.
"You are trying to play God!?"
