Chapter 1315: King Alexander Vs The Beast Of Finality
The Beast of Finality released a piercing screech that shattered the very air. A sound so overwhelming that it reverberated through the Nexus, warping space and distorting time itself.
Enel’s muscles tensed as he clenched his jaw, his eyes narrowing. But his focus wasn’t on the creature. No—his gaze landed directly on Naamah.
She noticed.
And chuckled.
"The best lies," she mused, tilting her head, "are the ones sprinkled with truth."
Her smile widened, almost teasing.
"Or better yet... the ones that tell the truth—while emptying it of the important parts."
She took a step forward, unfazed by the chaos around her.
"The Sisters of Fate did hurt us. And yes, my dear Lamastu did die. But not in the way you think."
Her fingers idly traced the air, as if weaving an unseen thread of fate itself.
"She died in battle... but not against them."
Her eyes glimmered with dark amusement.
"It was during our war with the Principalities of the Gluttony Royal Demon Family."
She sighed, almost nostalgically.
"But of course... the Fates were no saints either."
Her voice dipped into something more sinister.
"They backstabbed us. A deal? Oh, there was a deal."
She let out a cold chuckle.
"A temporary partnership. Just long enough to lead the Beast of Finality to King Solomon’s hidden palace."
The Beast of Finality screeched again, a sound so piercing that it felt like the very fabric of reality was tearing apart. Its massive, spider-like form loomed over the wound in the Nexus, its singular, monstrous eye staring directly at Enel.
Yet, something was wrong.
It struggled.
Despite its vast, incomprehensible power, it could not fully breach into this world.
Enel acted instantly.
His fingers moved in rapid, precise patterns—Shadow Runes forming in the air around him, glowing with a dark, ominous radiance. Up until now, he had been unable to wield laws. His power had been shackled, restricted as a result of his low cultivation rank.
But now...
Now, with the endless hatred of the dead fueling him, he had enough magic to push beyond his previous limits.
Waves of force rippled from his body, like a stone cast into a dark, endless pond. Each pulse carried the weight of something immense—something that could shatter the earth if he willed it.
But instead of destruction...
He sealed.
With a force unlike before, he launched the laws into the wound in the sky, forcing it shut. The space twisted, groaned, and resisted.
At first, it seemed like it would fail.
Then—
It worked.
The Beast of Finality let out an enraged shriek as the opening narrowed.
Naamah’s expression darkened.
Her hand flicked.
A surge of power shot toward Enel—an attempt to disrupt his spell.
But it was too late.
His power overwhelmed hers.
The wound in the Nexus was about to close completely—
SLASH!
A devastating arc of pure law energy tore through Enel’s seal, shredding it apart and ripping the wound wide open once more.
Enel’s eyes snapped to the source.
He had expected Naamah.
Or Durgia.
Instead, it was—
King Alexander.
Shock flickered across Enel’s face.
But before he could even react, Alexander’s lips curled into a devilish grin.
And he watched—with undeniable satisfaction—as the Beast of Finality lunged into the Nexus.
Enel’s voice erupted in a furious scream.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
His body surged forward, shadow runes crackling at his fingertips, but before he could take another step—
Alexander laughed.
It was not a mocking laugh.
It was amused.
"Shut up, boy. This has nothing to do with you!"
His words boomed through the battlefield, echoing like a divine decree.
And then Enel noticed it.
The king was shaking.
But it was not from fear.
No...
It was from exhilaration.
From behind him, massive chains dragged along the ground, each link thick as a mountain pillar. They pulsed with a golden radiance, enlightenment flickering from the sacred bands around his arms.
One look.
That was all it took.
Even from this distance, Enel knew.
Those were Rune Treasures.
Not just any Rune Treasures—these were objects of unimaginable power.
But even more oppressive—more suffocating—was the killing intent that began to pour from King Alexander.
Step.
The world quaked.
Step.
The very air grew dense, as if it could no longer hold itself together.
Step.
With each movement, his presence grew—his force expanded—like a giant emerging from a dark and forgotten cave. The very laws of the world seemed to groan under his might.
Enel had faced countless enemies.
He had felt killing intent before—raw, violent, predatory.
But this?
This was different.
This was not the killing intent of a single man.
It was as if King Alexander carried the hatred, bloodlust, and rage of an entire army.
And it was all directed forward. All towards a single thing.
The killing intent pouring from King Alexander was not just immense—it was overwhelming.
And it was all directed at the Beast of Finality.
As he advanced toward it, the golden chains dragging behind him like anchors of fate, his lips parted—calling forth names that had not been spoken by many mortal tongues for centuries.
"Clotho."
The air shuddered.
"Lachesis."
The sky above dimmed.
"Atropos."
The very Nexus seemed to wail.
His voice carried with it an ancient weight, as though he was speaking not to the beast but through it—to the ones pulling the strings.
"Do you remember me?" he asked, his voice sharp as a blade, cutting through the silence like thunder.
The world knew him as King Alexander.
The man who had stood on the verge of conquering all that lay before him.
Yet, history whispered of his sudden death.
Some claimed it was the burden of losing his closest friend—Hephaestion.
Others called it a tragedy of fate, a mystery unsolved.
But he knew the truth.
He knew who had ended his rise.
He knew why.
"You feared me." His voice trembled with rage. "You feared what I was becoming."
After all, Alexander’s power thrived on battle. That was his gift.
The more he fought, the stronger he became.
And records showed that no one in history had ever grown in power as fast as he had.
The world was changing beneath his rule—too fast, too dangerously.
And so, the Sisters of Fate had intervened.
"You didn’t just end me," he continued, his tone dark with suppressed grief. "You took everything from me."
"Hephaestion... my beloved..."
His voice cracked slightly—just for a moment.
"My friend. My companion. My equal. The only one I truly treasured."
The golden chains around his arms glowed even brighter.
"You orchestrated it all." His teeth gritted together. "You tricked me. You led me astray. You shattered my empire. And then—"
His breath hitched.
"You took him from me."
There was no need to say more.
Pain.
A sorrow so deep it had been buried for centuries.
Now, at last, it rose.
"I have waited hundreds of years for this." His fingers tightened around the chains. "...You made one fatal mistake."
The sky rumbled as his killing intent surged.
"...You let Your instrument... your Beast of Finality step foot in this place."
The massive creature stirred.
Then, from its many mouths, the voices of the Three Fates spoke.
"Oh... we remember you, Alexander."
A cruel chuckle.
"We remember your rage. Your defiance."
"We remember your lover’s screams as his fate was sealed... We had cut his thread. A fatal mistake of yours... to be strong yourself but leave your lover empty of protection."
"We remember how we guided your downfall, how we plucked each thread of your empire from its place—until nothing remained but the ruins of what could have been."
"And now, you stand before us once more."
"Angry. Broken. Powerless."
Laughter—mocking, endless.
But then—
King Alexander laughed.
Softly at first.
Then with rising intensity.
Until it was a deep, echoing chuckle.
A sound laced with both pain and satisfaction.
"Good," he murmured.
His golden eyes burned with something dark.
"I’m glad you remember."
His fingers curled around the chains.
"Because now... I want you to know exactly why I’m going to make you suffer."
The Beast chuckled again. "You insolent King... We are not even here. Do you think you can harm us?"
The king stood before the beast. His confidence was not diminished one bit. In fact, all looked to be under his control.
"You mistake me for one that is cheap on plans. I had conquered half my earth before I was twenty eight. And I have thought every day about my revenge. What do yyou think I would do with hundreds of years?"
On saying this, he rose into the air and came down with the force of a mountain.
The hit was unlike enel had ever seen, a battle mixture of punches and chains wipes.
The Beast of finality screamed as it tried to back off, but Alexander’s chains pulled it back.
What was most surprising was the fact that this Beast made entirely of fate nexuses was actually bleeding...
