Chapter 1314: Naamah Is Not Like The Others.

...Durgia turned in genuine fear, her breath catching as she saw Enel closing in. His claws stretched forward, aiming to rip her in two.

But just as he was about to reach her—

His foot slipped.

A small stone, barely large enough to be noticeable, sent him stumbling to the side, his attack missing its mark entirely.

For a moment, Enel was stunned.

He had spent countless lifetimes in battle, his instincts honed to an unnatural degree. Never had he slipped like that—never.

That stone...

It should have been crushed beneath his weight, obliterated by his presence alone.

Yet somehow, it had remained intact, perfectly positioned to disrupt him at the worst possible moment.

That wasn’t an accident.

Durgia wasted no time. She flickered away, barely escaping, and landed beside Naamah, panting.

She turned to her sister, eyes wide, breathless. "Thank you..."

Enel’s gaze shifted immediately to Naamah.

It was her.

He knew it was her.

He didn’t understand how, but she had done something.

Naamah was unlike any of the other Sisters of Eve. Enigmatic. Dangerous in a way that wasn’t outright violent, but subtle. He had never seen her fight, even back then, whe had used others to battle, yet his instincts screamed at him that she was a threat.

Even blind, she saw more than most.

Enel lunged again, rage burning through him.

But just before he could reach them, Naamah flicked a small pebble in her hand.

The pebble struck a dead warrior’s helmet, bounced off, hit the rim of a discarded shield, and somehow sent the shield sliding directly into Enel’s path.

His foot landed awkwardly on the smooth metal, and for the second time, his balance wavered.

Again?!

Enel barely caught himself, flipping backward into a controlled somersault. He landed further back, his muscles tensed, his mind racing.

Another coincidence.

Another perfectly timed mishap.

No.

It wasn’t coincidence.

His gaze darkened.

Naamah...

She saw the world, not through her blind eyes, but through something else. Her senses stretched into the details that others ignored. And with the blessing of the Tree of Knowledge, she could manipulate those details however she pleased.

It was barely noticeable—subtle enough that it seemed like fate itself was toying with her enemies.

But Enel understood.

One wrong step. One misplaced move.

And she could turn his strength against him, making his own power his downfall.

His jaw clenched, his glare locking onto her.

Naamah grinned.

"Damn." She chuckled, licking her lips. "That gaze. No wonder I was so attracted to you." She tilted her head, her smirk teasing. "If you keep looking at me like that, I might just take you to my bed again instead of killing you."

Enel’s expression twisted in disgust.

"Enough!"

A roar tore from his throat, and white flames erupted from his mouth—a violent fusion of holy fire and dark magic, clashing against itself as it raged forward like a divine storm.

Durgia’s instincts flared, and she immediately rushed in front of Naamah, conjuring a massive barrier of shimmering runes.

The flames slammed into the shield, sending shockwaves through the air. Sparks of holy light and black embers scattered like dying stars, the heat making Durgia’s skin itch.

She sneered.

Then—

Movement.

From the corner of her eye—

Enel.

Appearing again.

His blade already plunging toward her abdomen.

Durgia’s eyes widened. "NO—!"

A white-hot pain tore through her stomach as Enel’s weapon buried itself deep.

"AHHH! YOU BASTARD!" she shrieked.

But not because of the pain.

Not because of the attack itself.

No—Durgia’s face twisted in outrage as she looked down at the wound, horrified.

"You RUINED my skin...AGAIN! you FILTHY BRUTE!" She clutched her stomach, blood dripping between her fingers. "Do you have any idea how much effort it takes to keep my body this flawless?!"

Enel sneered, twisting the blade just to spite her. "Flawless? You mean this ugly mess?"

Durgia’s soul nearly left her body in fury.

"You—YOU FUCKING ASS!"

She clenched her fists, shaking with rage.

"I swear, when I kill you, I’ll turn your hideous face into paste!"

Enel’s smirk deepened.

"Oh? I thought you were already ugly. Turns out you can get worse."

"YOU BITCH!"

She lashed out with a pulse of magic, forcing Enel to retreat.

But the damage was done.

And her rage was only growing.

Durgia and naamah backed off and then Durgia turned to her sister. "We can’t continue like this. His power should not be this great. This place is endless fuel for him. We need to use that thing."

Naamah nodded at her. "I know." At such a time, Naamah removed a little yellow stone from her clothes and then let it fall to the ground.

The moment the yellow stone hit the ground, the air itself seemed to writhe.

A deep, resonating hum pulsed through the battlefield, sending tremors across the land. The very fabric of the Nexus shuddered in response.

And then—

From above, the sky ripped open.

A gaping tear formed, reality itself splitting apart. Through it emerged something monstrous.

A colossal spider-like entity, its entire body a shifting mass of Nexuses. Fractals of different worlds bled into one another across its form—each limb an ever-changing cascade of realities, impossible and terrifying.

But its most haunting feature was the eye.

A single, massive eye in the center of its grotesque body. It did not glow—no, it consumed light, devouring the essence of everything around it.

A pressure unlike anything before pressed down on the battlefield. The kind that crushed lesser beings into oblivion.

Even Enel felt it.

He knew this creature.

His expression darkened.

"The Beast of Finality."

The primordial existence of FATE. One that had no beginning, no end. It was simply there, an inevitability in the grand design, and an instrument of the fates.

A voice—no, three voices—echoed from the beast, speaking in eerie unison.

"Lenny Tales... what did you say again about my reputation in the universe?"

The air vibrated, as if reality itself had listened to the question.

King Alexander’s frown deepened.

"...Hmph." His gaze flickered toward the Sisters of Eve. "So that’s how it is. It seems the wise man was right."

Even he did not look amused.
