Detective Agency of the Bizarre
Chapter 411 - 411 Two hundred and sixty-eight

411: Two hundred and sixty-eight.

Chaos 411: Two hundred and sixty-eight.

Chaos “The progress from the first ritual was evident, Lola’s body still retained its vigor, albeit his limbs had become stiff.

His body was cold, devoid of heartbeat, and he was not breathing.

From a biological standpoint, he was still dead and possessed none of the thoughts or habits he had in life.

My Resurrection Ritual had only revived his body, not his soul.

The ritual was incomplete; had I missed something?” “Miss, what are you writing?” a curious voice suddenly asked from behind.”

“Miss, what are you writing?” the Baron asked irritably, as the plot demanded.

Sara startled and quickly closed her notebook.

Maid Irene was taken aback by Sara’s reaction and asked perplexedly, “What’s the matter?” She looked at the notebook in Sara’s hand with curiosity.

“It’s nothing, just jotting down some stuff.” Sara pulled open a drawer and threw the notebook in, gathering the hair that had fallen over her face and spoke with feigned calm.

This notebook must not fall into anyone’s hands, she thought.

Maid Irene was curious about the contents of the notebook and was about to ask when suddenly, a blood-covered figure burst into the bedroom.

Irene was about to scream but realized it was the servant Petra.

Bang!

Petra stumbled into the room, and Vinson, who was cleaning by the door, raised his hand to support him, familiar with the warm, sticky touch of blood.

Petra did not shake Vinson off; he needed the support now.

Petra looked as though he had been locked in a cage with a fierce beast.

The wounds on his cheek were grotesquely turned outwards, and his body was marred everywhere – the right sleeve was empty; he had lost a hand.

“Petra!?

What…

happened to you!?” Maid Irene exclaimed in horror, while Sara also looked perplexedly at the wounds on Petra’s body, which appeared to have been mauled by a wild beast.

Petra’s blood silently soaked into the luxurious velvet carpet, he gasped for breath and coughed up blood, blood gushed from a gaping wound on his neck as he spoke, “I saw Lola…

cough, he has returned, but he attacked me…

bit me like he was mad.”

He was conveying information to the others.

The butler regained his composure from the shock, shouting to someone outside the door to call for the Head Maid to immediately summon the doctor, as there were injuries that needed treatment here.

“Lola?

How could he…” Maid Irene gasped, as Lola had always been of a timid nature – how could he—

“Where did Lola go after he attacked you!” Sara interrupted Maid Irene, asking urgently.

“I cough, cough, cough…” Petra coughed violently, blood spluttering, and when Sara was almost out of patience, he weakly said, “The guards stopped him; he should have been subdued…

I was worried about you Miss, so I came to inform you.”

After saying this, Petra saw Miss Sara suddenly lift her skirt and run out of the room.

“Miss!” Maid Irene cried out and followed, but she found that the miss had already disappeared from the corridor.

“Take Petra for treatment!” Maid Irene instructed the servants and rushed off to find the Miss.

The obscure, ancient sound faded with the departure of Sara and the Baron.

Outside the corridor, the footsteps faded, and new hastened steps arose.

Dr.

Mister and her assistant rushed into the bedroom with a medical bag.

“How did this happen!?” Seeing Petra’s gruesome wounds, Dr.

Mister hurriedly took Petra from Vinson’s hands and helped him onto the couch.

“These appear to be…

bite marks?” The assistant wiped away the blood with a handkerchief, and Dr.

Mister, seeing the conspicuous wounds, contracted her pupils.

Petra gestured to the Head Maid nearby to either offer an explanation or an excuse, then looked towards Vinson, who was observing him: “Lola is also a failed case; he’s without reason, and his body is cold.”

“We already knew that,” Vinson wiped the blood on his clothes, taking a careful look at Petra: “To escape like this, tsk…

what a pity.”

The trickle of blood down his forehead prompted Petra to squint his eyes weakly, revealing a grim smile, “No…

it let me come back.”

The handkerchief transiently interrupted his speech as it wiped his face.

After the assistant cleaned the handkerchief, Petra continued, “Because the script had me running back to report, rather than being killed.”

All his resistance was ineffective, after the obscure and ancient sound had started, the content was bound to become reality.

If the plot had not spared his life, Petra would have already gone to meet Lola and David by now.

“You’ve lost a lot of blood, the bones in your right hand have completely vanished, and the wound on your throat might have reached the windpipe,” Dr.

Mister said at this moment.

“Your injuries are severe, you must come with me for bleeding control and treatment.”

The Head Maid briefly explained to Dr.

Mister that they were exorcists, here to expel the supernatural from the mansion.

Dr.

Mister looked at the severely injured Petra, feeling emotional.

Ghosts are indeed terrifying, to almost have killed an exorcist, and it sounded as though the ghost had deliberately spared him.

“You must also come with us to avoid that ghost attacking us,” Dr.

Mister said to Lu Li and his companion.

“Vinson will go with you,” Lu Li said, as he needed to stay behind to look for the Baron.

The Head Maid and Dr.

Mister’s assistant helped Petra leave, and in a moment, the chaotic bedroom was left with only Lu Li.

“We are going to the Baron’s place,” Lu Li muttered to himself as he stepped out of the bedroom.

“Hmm.” A crisp response came out of the void.

Asking the maid in the corridor where the Baron had gone, Lu Li quickly found the Baron, who was involved in the plot.

[The nervous Maid Irene kept looking back as if the young mistress might pop up at any moment.]

Lu Li stopped in his tracks and maintained a distance from the Baron he had found so as not to get involved in the plot.

This part of the plot involved Maid Irene confirming Sara’s safety and coming back to secretly look through the hidden notebook.

The Baron could only see the dark notebook, but “Maid Irene” saw a lot of content.

[“Irene, you’re here, let’s go quickly, we’re going to see how Petra is doing,” Lu Li called out from the doorway upon spotting Maid Irene.]

Lu Li got involved in the plot.

[Maid Irene hurriedly put back the notebook, pulled open the drawer, and left the bedroom with the servant Lu Lili.]

The Baron, cautious, restored the dark notebook to how it looked at the beginning before leaving according to the plot with Lu Lili.

The now calm bedroom was silent for a few minutes, then the obscure and ancient sound rang out once again.

[Sara returned to the bedroom.

Irene and the others were not there, presumably accompanying Petra for treatment.

Sara looked around the bedroom, then quickly walked over to the desk and pulled open the drawer.]

[The notebook lay intact at the bottom of the drawer.]

[A worried Sara picked up the notebook, casually flipped through a few pages, and suddenly froze.]

[Her hand reached toward the notebook, and when she lifted it again, her fingertips were pinching a long strand of hair.]

[It was Maid Irene’s hair.]
