Chapter 563 - 563 462 Homework_4

563: Chapter 462 Homework_4 563: Chapter 462 Homework_4 Before long, the third-generation Mecha, Shatterer, came to a halt.

Su Mo could see nothing but the wreckage of large ships everywhere and not a single crew member in sight.

At that moment, a second-generation Mecha, Red Armor, suddenly emerged from behind a piece of wreckage.

“Tsk tsk, we finally meet again.”

Lulavi laughed eerily.

“Something must have gone wrong the last time we met, which alerted those old folks.

They started a covert investigation, putting me in a difficult position.

It took me quite some effort to suppress the matter and meet you.”

“It doesn’t matter.

If they were fools, I wouldn’t need to be so cautious.

How is the investigation I asked you to conduct?”

“I’ve investigated all I could, but I still haven’t found that thing.

Their security is exceptionally tight.

If I’m not wrong, the item should be hidden in the GT department’s G1 zone, which is off-limits to me.”

Mai Han responded calmly.

“Mai Han, my patience is limited.

There’s not much time left for your investigation.”

Lulavi, after hearing Mai Han’s report, spoke somewhat ferociously.

“You needn’t worry.

Although I can’t access the G1 zone, I already have some leads.”

“Oh?

What do you plan to do?”

“Change the target.

It’s tough to infiltrate the GT department and those old guys.

But there’s one person who definitely knows the inside story and is relatively easy to approach.”

“Who?”

“Delair!

I’m sure he knows something.”

There was a glint in Mai Han’s eyes.

“Ha ha, I knew I wasn’t wrong about you.

Get on with it.

As long as you can complete my task, I’ll fulfill all the promises I made to you.”

“No problem, the Black Brilliance will be stationed here for a while, carrying out operations.

It will be convenient for me to meet you during this time.

I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have results.”

Mai Han explained.

“Alright, but I need to warn you about something.

This area is a burial ground, and even I’m not sure what kind of monsters and aliens are lurking here, so let’s not meet too deep in.”

Lulavi warned with a hint of apprehension.

“I understand.”

Mai Han didn’t say much else.

….

Within the Ruins Starry Sky, Su Mo was using his Black Steel Mecha to violently dismantle the structure of a segment of the spaceship wreckage.

Su Mo was in an exceptionally good mood, his mecha’s metal net containing an abundance of spoils of war.

There were discarded battery boxes, some power units, a few glowing green stones, and, of course, a few strange and bizarre device remnants.

Anything that remotely dealt with energy, Su Mo plucked it out.

Now, Su Mo was dismantling some spaceship wreckage, looking to find some energy storage boxes,

Just when Su Mo was happily disassembling, he suddenly felt a twitch in his nerves.

Immediately, he pulled the lever, controlling the Black Steel Mecha to turn around and sweep his alloy spear through the area.

A Type I Chewing Beast, with a mouth resembling a chrysanthemum, was instantly pierced, black fluid splattering out.

Su Mo looked at the dead body of the Chewing Beast, a conflicted expression on his face.

He remembered the Light Computer had once mentioned that this thing’s body might also be useful.

However, Su Mo always felt uneasy inside, and in the end, he sighed.

“Better not.”

Su Mo glanced at the time on the operation screen; he had been working for over seven hours.

He figured that in about an hour, this round of operations would probably end, and it was likely time to return to the transportation ship for rest.

Actually, the earnings were barely satisfactory, and that was based on the understanding that all exploration teams had not ventured too deep.

If they had gone deeper, there might have been unexpected gains.

Of course, there were also dangers, like barely venturing a bit deeper, only to be immediately attacked by a hiding monster.

Su Mo took a deep breath and then checked left and right in the control of the mecha, making sure no one was around.

He then maneuvered the Black Steel Mecha, dragging a metal net, into the ship wreckage in front of him.

Casually, Su Mo opened the cockpit, floated out from inside, and drifted straight to the front of the fully loaded metal net, reaching out to grab it.

He silently called out to the Fake Owner • Swallower with anticipation.

“Wake up, I’ve brought you some energy.”

Gathering so many things, that guy should be pleased.

Before long, a deep voice resounded in Su Mo’s mind.

“This is what you’ve brought me?”

Su Mo replied with confusion, “Yes, so much!

Everything you need, aren’t you not picky?”

“I may not be picky, but I’m not a garbage collector either!”

The voice of the Fake Owner • Swallower showed emotional fluctuation for the first time.

Su Mo, not expecting such a strong reaction from the creature, replied awkwardly, “How about we forget it then, I’ll find another way to get you something.”

Just then, Su Mo suddenly felt a wriggling in his chest, followed by a dark-colored tumor permeating out from his body and floating above the pile of scrap metal.

Soon, the tumor sprouted countless black tendrils that entwined the collected garbage.

The items in the metal net corroded at a visibly rapid pace.

The whole process took just a few seconds.

After absorbing the remaining energy, the Fake Owner • Swallower floated back in front of Su Mo and burrowed into his body again.

Not a single word was spoken throughout.

Su Mo’s face was taut, finding the horrific scene bizarrely amusing.

It truly confirmed the saying, the more detested something is initially, the more delicious it becomes when eaten.

Of course, Su Mo’s emotional intelligence was not so low as to prod the Fake Owner • Swallower and make it lose face, as that would surely backfire on him later.

So, Su Mo returned to the cockpit of the mecha and closed it.

Su Mo glanced at the metal net and thought for a moment, then opened the net and dumped all the collected items, preparing to casually gather some things later to make do.

Just then, Su Mo felt something and turned his head to look out through a gap in the ship wreckage.

He saw a third-generation mecha Shredder sweeping past in the distance.

Su Mo was a bit surprised and muttered to himself.

“Isn’t that General Mai Han?

Quite bold to venture so deep?”

However, Su Mo thought about it and realized it wasn’t so strange after all; being in a third-generation mecha naturally emboldened him.

But just then, the Fake Owner • Swallower suddenly spoke in a deep voice.

“There’s something wrong with the pilot of that mecha.”

Su Mo was startled by the statement of the Fake Owner • Swallower.

“You’re not joking, are you?”

However, the Fake Owner • Swallower seemed to fall back into silence, not answering Su Mo’s question.

Su Mo furrowed his brows and asked again.

“What did you mean by that statement just now?”

Unfortunately, he still received no response.
