Destiny Mission of game ‘Star Ring’
Chapter 562 - 562 462 Homework_3

562: Chapter 462 Homework_3 562: Chapter 462 Homework_3 Mo Baoke wasn’t bothering to hide his frustration anymore; he was fed up with Amocadi who kept pestering him for compensation.

And since he couldn’t afford to upset Su Mo, he had to flatter him instead.

To understand the situation better, consider that not even General Figerl himself would treat a substitute team member with anything less than equal respect.

That showed just how high Su Mo’s status was.

“Captain Mo Baoke, Su Mo has arrived.”

Zhao Bo observed Mo Baoke’s imposing demeanor, and with a quick flicker in his eyes, he promptly reminded him.

Upon hearing this, Mo Baoke turned to look at Su Mo and instantly switched to a fawning smile, saying, “Ah, Su Mo, what brings you here?”

Suppressing his discomfort, Su Mo replied, “I’ve come to join the Scavenger operation.”

“Oh my, such trivial scavenging work doesn’t require your personal touch!

You should just stay on the ship.

And don’t worry, I’ll make sure to fill out your task settlement form very well for you later.”

Mo Baoke said eagerly, rubbing his hands together and smiling.

After pondering for a few seconds, Su Mo rejected the offer: “No need, I’ll stick to normal tasks.”

This was a rare opportunity; perhaps he could find something valuable in the junkyard that could recharge the Light Computer.

“Ah, our Lord Su Mo always prefers hands-on work.

If you want to go on the task, no problem.

How about I lend you my Black Steel Mecha?

It’s more comfortable to pilot.”

Mo Baoke strove to flatter.

“That wouldn’t be proper, would it?

If I take your Black Steel, what will you pilot?”

“I’ll just stay on the Transportation Ship.

The mecha would be idle otherwise.”

Mo Baoke chuckled in response.

“Aren’t you worried I might accidentally damage it?”

Looking amused, Su Mo inquired.

“Oh, come on, it’ll be fine,” Mo Baoke reassured while handing over the keys to Su Mo, the gesture oozing with solicitude.

Su Mo hesitated before finally accepting; his only Iron Guard Mecha was indeed not quite up to par.

“Alright, thank you.”

In the pitch-black starry sky, the massive Black Brilliance slowly came to a halt.

One by one, the ship’s enormous docking ports opened, and small Transportation Ships began to detach from the vessel.

At the same time, mechas shot out from the ship at high speed.

A closer look revealed an exceptionally high number of Transportation Ships and mechas leaving the Black Brilliance, most of which didn’t bear official unit identification.

Su Mo, piloting the Black Steel Mecha, followed Kolev towards the Ruins Starry Sky region.

Over the communication channel, Kolev was giving everyone some task-related instructions.

“Be very careful during the operation, especially when exploring the larger wrecks.

They could be nests for monsters, and entering them would be like delivering food to their doorstep…”

“Understood.”

“Also, don’t stray too far and keep the communication channels clear so you can call for assistance immediately if something happens.”

“Roger.”

“I won’t say much else.

Let’s begin the operation.”

After the brief instructions, Kolev took the lead and entered into the debris-filled starry sky.

The impressive sight of the sprawling star sea of ruins took everyone by surprise.

Piloting the Black Steel Mecha, Su Mo curiously surveyed his surroundings.

Entering this area felt no different from entering a garbage dump.

Everywhere were fragments of shattered metal.

Some of the metal plates seemed to have fallen from ships and still bore unintelligible inscriptions.

The entire area emanated a sense of mystery.

Su Mo’s interface popped up with a series of task logs.

Task Log One: Endeavor to locate high-value materials within the debris.

Task Log Two: This operation will last for seven days, and depending on the profitability, there might be adjustments made to the duration.

Su Mo, looking at the task logs, felt invigorated.

There was a good chance to make a substantial profit from scavenging here.

So, Su Mo began searching the debris field while piloting the Black Steel Mecha.

Time trickled by.

As Su Mo delved deeper into this part of space with the Black Steel Mecha, the initial excitement on his face faded.

Along the way, he had yet to find anything of high value—just mecha armor shards, missile casings, charred circuit board fragments, and piles of rocks.

There were hardly any intact objects to be found.

Of course, it was possible that he had missed something.

Just then, Su Mo’s eyes lit up.

He spotted the wreckage of an Interstellar Fighter, about one-third the size of an intact craft.

He promptly began dismantling it, ripping off the shell to expose the wiring underneath and tearing it out forcefully.

The exposed wires were charred black, likely useless without stripping and recasting, and therefore not very valuable.

Su Mo continued disassembling and quickly found the engine, but, unfortunately, only half of it was left, rendering it useless.

The work was proving to be exceptionally challenging.

That’s when Su Mo caught sight of a silver square metal module connected to several power output wires—it appeared to be quite advanced.

Muttering to himself, he said, “This might contain some energy, could be kept for the Devourer.”

He immediately dismantled the energy storage module.

With a prize in hand, Su Mo’s enthusiasm surged.

There actually seemed to be some decent finds to uncover here.

Elsewhere, a third-generation Shatterer mecha was darting agilely through the heaps of junk.
