DESTINED MATE : SWEET ALPHA PHEROMONE
Chapter 61 - GRUVV’s POV

Chapter 61: Chapter 61 - GRUVV’s POV

Chasing Gil was no longer something I could take lightly. Now, searching and captured him became the top priority of all my problems. I thought about this all night after I looked at Shiloh’s sleeping face. Now, I’m not living for myself, there’s someone I have to protect. His safety is now my priority and I am responsible for his life.

When Shiloh was sleep I tried to find out some organizations that might be cooperating with his father. I categorized some of them, and sorted it into sections.

There were six organizations that Gil was likely working with. But then again, this is only a rough guess because of all the organizations my men contacted, fifty percent refused to answer. Of course. But, of the remaining fifty percent only six organizations could most likely cover up all of Gil’s crimes including helping him vacate the PACKAGE office in a short period of time.

The six organizations are Smith, Anderson, White, Foster, Hughes and Clark. These six families are well known as major mafia organizations apart from Dhurudatta. Of the many organizations, these six family organizations carry a great influence in the mafia world. Unlike Dhurudatta and another Mafia Family which stands alone, these six families are connected with the government. Covering up crimes is a small thing for them.

"As you said, the possibility of these six organizations being involved is no longer zero percent. The possibility can be up to seventy percent considering that Shem Powers’ death can be covered up easily, manipulating the prison CCTV as well as covering up the missing corruption money." Louis Baxter spoke on the other side of the phone.

It was five in the morning when I called him, I had only been asleep for two hours in the study and when I woke up I called him immediately. My head was throbbing a little but I had to report what I found to him, hoping he could investigate further legally.

"The missing corruption money and the ownership of buildings in other people’s names can be easily manipulated if we have a great relationship to the government. Buy some land using another person’s name that we are investigating is not an easy thing in our country. The person must have ownership of the building as well as a deposit of money before bought it."

That’s right.

If this is about a mafia with connections to the government, wouldn’t it be even more difficult to dismantle it?

"Didn’t Madam Rose always provide Omegas for government officials in big events?" I asked Louis Baxter who didn’t answer right away, there were water and another sounds on the other end of the line, judging from his deep voice when he picked up my call, I’m sure he had also just woken up from his sleep.

"Pardon? Can you repeat that? I just finished washing my face and brushing my teeth." He said then.

That’s right, he had just started the day the same as me. I should have done the same thing like him.

"I heard that Madam Rose used to always provide Omegas to entertain government officials during big events?" I repeated my words to Louis Baxter.

There was the sound of a machine on the other end of the line before he answered, "Right, before the government issued official regulations on human trafficking, especially the use of Omegas to entertain Alphas, Madam Rose always provided Omegas for the entertainment of the higher-ups. But that stopped about ten years ago."

"Yeah, before the regulation was fixed by the government, my family withdrew all the shares in Madam Rose’s nightclubs and brothels. But the reason they did that was because of Father’s suspicions about the flow in out money."

Louis Baxter paused, "You’re right, the Dhurudatta family has worked with Madam Rose..." He said.

I frowned, "Hey, our family doesn’t do human trafficking."

"Oh! Oh! That’s not what I meant," His voice sounded rushed and nervous as I said that in defense of my family, well, Father is not the kind of person who would do anything to get money and a stable business like human trafficking or drugs. "I mean, don’t you have data on who are the biggest shareholders besides the Dhurudatta family?"

I was stunned to hear Louis Baxter’s words. I knew I was in a desperate and rushed state, but I didn’t know that I could be this stupid and miss the most important thing.

Information that exists only within the Dhurudatta family.

"I think that information can make us narrow down the possibility of which organizations still have ties to Gil. Because if I match it with the data regarding Gil’s last clients before the Rudapriya family went bankrupt, the names you mentioned are in it."

Unsurprisingly, the Rudapriya family used to be the most trusted family of accountants in the country, with almost all businesses using their services to handle their financial affairs. These six family names must have used their services too.

"Are you able to do further investigation on this legally? I’ll check the data inside the company. You know, it’s going to be difficult if I investigate illegally while I’m related to a prosecutor." I said.

I could hear Louis Baxter laughing on the other end of the line, "I guess there’s no need to think about whether we got this information legally or illegally because I know you’re on a deadline."

He’s right, I’m really feeling on the edge. I can’t just let go of this fear, I have to finish everything immediately. I don’t want there to be any more mistakes and make me lose the people who precious to me. Just one person.

We wrapped up our conversation on the phone after organizing many things. This includes giving opinions at each other about which family seems more inclined to support Gil, judging by the business they are doing now.

Before I knew Shiloh, I thought looking for Gil was just to get back the money we lent him. But it turned out to be more than I expected. How Gil had also caused our family trouble not only in the past two years but also in the years before that and almost put my father in jail for human trafficking.

The more I knew about Shiloh, the more I knew about his past, the more I understood how he lived together with Gil, the more I wanted to catch that man and finish him. He doesn’t deserve to live.

This is all really complicated. I have to finish it right away.

I kept repeating that phrase in my head, ’I have to finish it right away’ even though I knew how fast I wanted it, the evidence still had to be collected one by one before we do something. Even Gil’s whereabouts were still so hard to find.

"Gruvv?" The door to my study opened and Shiloh emerged from it, his face still looking a little bit sleepy. I glanced at the clock on the wall, it was seven in the morning.

"Why are you awake already?" I asked, walking closer to him and cupping his small face with both my big hands.

Shiloh blinked his eyes a few times and smiled widely, "You weren’t there when I woke up."

I looked at him and chuckled softly, "Oh, you’re getting bolder in saying what you feel these days."

I could see that his face was flushed from hearing my words, in addition to his flushed face, a beautiful tinge appeared on his ears and also the back of his nape. The pale white skin was now bright red, beautiful. I lowered my head and kissed his nape, I could feel him jump slightly when my lips touched the skin.

"Gruvv!" He squealed while pushing my body slightly, I laughed, feeling his touch on my chest.

I cupped both his cheeks, making his lips come forward pushed by my hands, I kissed his lips and his face again, turned red.

"Gruvv! Stop it!" He screeched again.

I could smell his sweet pheromones after I teased him. I hugged him again and kissed his cheek, he squealed and chuckled in my arms. Isn’t this fun? Being able to be with him every day, hugging him, taking a walk together to see the flowers blooming in the greenhouse, eating together and sleeping together. I want this to never end.

I need to get information about Gil and the organization behind him so that I can live in peace and quiet with Shiloh. I’ll leave this job, I won’t touch the underground job anymore.

"You think of other things again when you’re with me."

I could feel his finger touching my forehead, letting the wrinkles disappear, he looked at me with a worried look. I chuckled, hugging him deeper and kissing his cheek. I kissed his lips, linking our tongues with each other. I could smell his seductive pheromones, I led him into the study room, locking the door. Letting us enjoy this time for much longer.
