"What did Elina tell you before?" Ian asked me while handing me a glass of warm water in a cup, I cried for so long in his arms and he left it in silence.

I didn’t think that crying could make me so much better than before, my feelings so much better.

"A lot of things, about HEAT have not been coming for a long time. She mentioned that I might be transitioning to Recessive Omega." I replied as I took a sip of the warm water in the cup, it felt so warm that it reached my chest.

Ian sat beside me, he pulled the blanket up to my thighs, tightening it so I wouldn’t get cold. This air conditioner should be kept cold according to the doctor.

"And then?"

I glanced at him, wondering if it would be okay if I told him that Elina thought Gruvv and I were a destined mate?

"That’s okay, just tell me."

Again, Ian seemed to understand what I was thinking. I held the warm cup with both hands, placing it on my lap.

"Elina thinks there’s a chance that Gruvv and I are destined mates." I said then.

Ian nodded, he crossed his arms over his chest.

"I’ll explain it one by one, because I’m sure you’re also curious why Gruvv isn’t here. As you know, if he was fine, he would have been by your side after you woke up. However, his condition hasn’t quite recovered so he couldn’t see you first."

Ian started to explain, my heart was racing, all I remembered was when Gruvv started to strip and Ian said he would give him the suppressant. After that I don’t remember anything anymore.

"Is he still experiencing RUT?" I asked then, realizing where this was going.

Ian was silent for a moment then nodded.

"What? How long has this been going on?"

"One month, he continuously went into RUT and only returned to normal within a few days."

My body stiffened at that. RUT is the most painful period for alphas if not channeled properly, suppressants are the best way for those who do not have an Omega partner.

"Does the suppressant-"

I stopped what I was saying when I saw Ian shaking his head.

"Andrew had already given him high doses of suppressants. But it didn’t work, they couldn’t give him any more suppressants because it would make his heart pump faster and trigger a heart attack."

I covered my mouth with one hand and I could feel my eyes widening after hearing what Ian said. I never knew that the problem Gruvv was facing was so big. But what? What was the trigger?

I nodded slowly, my eyes searching for answers in Ian’s eyes now. What’s wrong?

"Gruvv, can’t smell pheromones."

That sentence took me by surprise. I was still silent, waiting for Ian to continue.

He then explained to me that it had been twelve years since Gruvv had experienced RUT, Gruvv could not smell pheromones due to a mental illness he suffered from. The trigger was the death of his best friend, then he and George were accused of being the murders in his best friend house and went to prison. He was separated from George because he was underage at the time.

The people in the prison were so cruel to him, there were many alphas in the prison. His best friend pheromone’s scent before he died as well as the pheromone of the alphas in the prison traumatized him so much that he developed a serious mental illness. As a result, he couldn’t smell the pheromones.

I could feel my chest hurting so much hearing everything Ian was talking about.

For twelve years, Gruvv had trouble controlling his pheromones so whenever the Omegas got close to him it became a new problem. It was then that he chose the mountain out of all the places his parents had offered to live, he felt that being away from others would be much better.

All maids were changed to BETA and Alpha, so as not to cause problems in the future.

He was alone on the mountain and interacted only with BETAs and Alphas, if there was a need and he had to meet with an Omega, he would definitely take a suppressant to weaken his pheromone scent a little.

I pulled the blanket up over my face, letting it cover my screams and cries. I was tired of crying but this could make me much calmer than before, I felt that what happened to us being brought together was fate.

Maybe it’s true, I’m the destined mates for Gruvv and vice versa.

Ian continued that the trigger for Gruvv to experience RUT was also not because of the large amount of Omega pheromones in the building, but because my pheromones weakened when he was there. His instincts as a dominant alpha took over, forcing him to smell my weakened pheromones so that he went into RUT mode when he released too many pheromones in order to save me.

I bit my lower lip. Gruvv has fought so hard for me. He always saved me when I was in need of help.
