Father sat down next to Joshua, his hand patting the boy’s shoulder with his head down, "You know that there are no secrets in our family. All I need to check is our youngest one, if he’s not around, I know something is wrong. And look, the three of you are like fools under a crazy person like, Rose? Josh, come on, can’t you give a good advice to your brother?"

Joshua lowered his head even more, I could see his sweat running down his face. The air in the room felt so heavy. Like I said before, even though we are old now, we are still tied to our parents from our lives.

Both are too scary for us to break their rules.

"You’re the one who can use your brain at a time like this, unlike your two older brothers who are quick to act violence instead." Father turned to me and Cross. I’m sure Father gave off a pheromone because even Cross didn’t move.

We were the epitome of coward kiddo, we acting like assholes out there but in front of our parents we like a dog begging to be petted.

"Come on, no one has any idea how to getting back Gruvv’s Omega?"

"Father, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to hide this from you..." Joshua said, he raised his head to look at Father who was still stroking his youngest’s back.

"Yea, you said I would kill the three of you if I knew about this. That’s right, I almost killed all of you when I got here and listening all the conversations."

I tried to calm myself, it wasn’t Joshua or Cross’ fault. This problem started with me, Madam Rose was after APOLLO from the start and because she knew it was mine personally, and also because I took Shiloh without permission, she did this. I need to use my brain.

"I have no intention to say yes to Madam Rose’s request even though it’ll make Shiloh in danger." I said after trying to control all the mixed feelings in my head.

Father glanced at me, his arms folded across his chest, "Then, what are you going to do?"

"Father, I think this has something to do with what you found ten years ago."

I could see Father’s eyebrows twitching, my suspicions were right. Going back to the problem ten years ago, when I was just in my current position about two years. Father gave me several files containing handover of ownership in the area, at which time all the brothels under DATTA’s company were dissolved. I asked him what he had gotten and was investigating, but Father did not answer at that time.

"You said I just needed to demolish all the buildings in that area and I could build whatever I thought was good for business in the downtown back then." I said.

Joshua and Cross looked at me, I’m sure Cross didn’t know about this at all. Because the area does belong to DATTA’s company but the ownership of the building and business are all in my personal name.

Cross was still busy with his new position, and that’s also because Cross does almost ninety percent of construction business alone as DATTA’s main. Joshua didn’t even understand anything yet. So I’m sure it’s just about me and Father. I suspected a lot of things after all this time, especially when I found out that our main accounting firm switched after all the chaos.

"For thirty years our main accounting firm was held by Rudapriya family, and then when you asked for Madam Rose’s termination, I realized now Father, you also asked for a replacement accounting firm to process all of DATTA’s company financial data. That’s not a coincidence, do you mind to tell us about it?"

Since Shiloh’s come, I asked George to look into his background. And many times George also asked me to read everything, I always refused but a few days after my meeting with Andrew and Elina I started reading all of Shiloh’s background even though it didn’t include his health records.

What I’ve been thinking all this time does have a common thread. Why Gil was so hard to find and why he borrowed so much money for new business from us and caused such a mess afterward. The main reasons are,

"Because of Gil, our company almost went bankrupt ten years ago. Your father was almost arrested by the police. He also almost destroyed Harding family. He did all that mess in one night together with that asshole, Rose."

The three of us were surprised to hear Harding’s name come up in this conversation. Cross massaged his own forehead. What Gil Rudapriya did was more than I expected.

Harding is Father’s family name. The Harding family has been known as the biggest mobster from the next country, since a long time ago the Harding family was known as the most avoided mobster. There are not many businessmen can work with them, as one mistake can lead to the death of a family or a gang.

They were centered on drugs business, but suddenly they changed the way of business, which made a lot of businessmen who worked with them before protest about it.

The Mobster family that for decades handled the biggest sales and suppliers of illegal drugs shifted its focus to entertainment centers and even funded some entertainment industries and celebrity agencies. All that changed when Father took over from my grandfather.

Yes, the Harding family under Father’s leadership only become a sponsors for entertainment business.

"I lost so many friends and family to drugs, I didn’t want to make anyone else’s family feel the same way. So with my dad’s approval, Harding family stopped all drug-related activities." Father explained, he reached into his pocket, took out a pack of cigarettes and started smoking.

"And, as you know by now, the Harding family is all about entertainment. That’s why when your dad and I got married we continued here, under the Dhurudatta name. Only difference is, Dhurudatta already has its own cornerstone in the entertainment district and their underground business cannot be stopped. Luckily the Dhurudatta family has never dealt with drugs..."

"But they deal in humans trafficking." Joshua said.

"Exactly." Father smiled broadly at Joshua’s interruption.

After his marriage to dad, Father was always looking for a way to stop everything related to brothels and other human trafficking. It also triggered him and dad to argue, dad didn’t want to remove one of the company’s biggest revenues while Father felt that their construction company was so stable and didn’t need those things anymore.

He was constantly looking for ways to get Dhurudatta to stop all such activities until finally a few years before he stopped the business relationship with Madam Rose, Father felt there was something wrong with all the money going in and out of the company.

"The money going in and out between Harding and Datta was so strange every year. Then, I checked the flow monthly, and that’s when I realized that someone was laundering money in our company."

The three of us frowned at that statement.

"Your Omega’s father was working with Madam Rose to launder money from drugs and human trafficking sales. Since I’m limiting those two things, Madam Rose falsified the brothel’s income and asked Gil to do so through two large companies that had been managed by Rudapriya’s family for years. Harding and Datta."

"That’s crazy..." Said Cross, he glanced at me who was still silent. All this information about Gil is really drained me.

"Do you know why there’s only Gil left in the Rudapriya family?" Father asked then, he put the cigarette into the ashtray and looked at us. "Gil killed all his family members and exiled the rest of his family."

I can feel my whole body shuddering hearing that. That’s why that man easily sold his own biological son just for money.

"Is his bankruptcy also related to this?" Joshua asked Father who nodded.

"As an elite family they don’t just declare bankruptcy easily, unlike the Harding and Dhurudatta families who imitate the elite, Rudapriya is purely an elite family. It took ten years to make that man lose everything. My mistake was not blocking him openly so that he could easily borrow money and do all these things now." Father finished his explanation.

My head was spinning, on the one hand I wanted to find Shiloh immediately and on the other hand I had to think about what deal would be best for Madam Rose so that she would give Shiloh back to me.

"You can’t easily hand over APOLLO to Rose, today she kidnapped Shiloh and asked you for APOLLO, next time it’s possible that she will target others. Leona for example."

"Son of a bitch!" I could hear Cross swearing.

True, what Madam Rose did could be an idea for the Dhurudatta family’s enemies to go to far more extreme lengths than this.
