I raising my eyes at the man in front of me, I just finished reading a book.

I was sitting on a bench near the rose garden, some maids were doing their jobs as well as gardeners. I closed the book and thinked about the story I had read when the man came, standing in front of me carrying a hatchet in his left hand.

He looked at me fiercely like he couldn’t wait to finish me off on the spot. He wears a gray leather jacket, with a black T-shirt, jeans, and military boots. He smells like a chocolate, but it’s not a pheromone.

The man has monolids eyes, his black hair was on top knot, his ears were filled with earrings, he is an Asian but he have bright blue eyes. His body is not big with muscles but it look so firm. I jumped up after back to my sense, that shining hatchet looked so sharp.

I can see this isn’t a friendly visit.

I cover my nose with both hands quickly. The book I was holding fell to the ground. My eyes rounded. He keep looking at me like he was going to eat me alive. He bent to picked up the book, his eyes moved as he gave it to me. Everything he does makes me wary.

"Give me your phone." His voice was not deep, but a low one and husky.

I didn’t say anything, my hands still covering my nose. I’m afraid even to take some breath, I don’t want to smell his pheromones. His eyes squinted, his military boots nudged my leg. "Hey, hurry, give me your phone."

I got frozen, I think I see him before, he looks so familiar, is he the one Madam or father sent to take me back? My body trembles thinking so many options for who the person in front of me is.

He cluck his tongue as he came closer, picked up the phone that lying next to me. I wanted to stopped it but my body couldn’t move the way I wanted. What is he doing? He seemed to be looking for something on my phone, but there were no numbers phone other than Gruvv’s and his secretary’s.

His presence makes my whole body stiff.

"Ding dong! You’re wrong brother! This is your little one." He said, he smile so wide while he look at me, "Let me play with your omega!" My heart stopped when he said that.

Ah, he looks like Gruvv, he is Gruvv younger brother that’s why his face is so familiar to me. But, what’s he gonna do to me?

He turned off the call, seems like he just called Gruvv and warn him that he was here. He handed me the phone, "Take it. Let go of your hands, unlike my brother, I can control and even hide my pheromones. We’re Alpha Dominant anyway."

I blinked. That’s right, what I heard is that an Alpha Dominant can hide their pheromone. I slowly take my hands off and trying to breathe freely. It’s real, I did not smell his pheromones at all. I awkwardly took the phone from his hands.

He sat beside me, spread his legs. The hachet is there, right next to him. He looks much younger than Gruvv, maybe we’re the same age.

"You are live here only with the maids and the gardener?" He asked, he’s looking here and there.

I nodded slowly, what’s wrong with that?

"It turned out he was too confident that no one would dare to come to his house." He sneering, reached into his jacket pocket and he pulled out a chocolate bar. "Do you like this one?"

I don’t reply him, my heart is still can’t stop beating so loudly and my instincts are still telling me to be wary of this man.

He opened the chocolate wrapper in half and gave it to me, "Take it." That sounds like an order. Nervous made my stomach ache, my chest felt tight.

A flower petal flew when I coughed, the man’s bright blue eyes rounded when he saw it, his pupils dilated, sparkles and he smile so wide like a child who has just seen a new toy.

"Interesting!" He said. I covered my mouth again and could feel my trembling fingers touching my face. He can’t take his eyes off me.

"So, do you have that disease? For real?"

My mouth still felt frozen just to answer, this man’s presence is too draining. The mere presence of him made me shiver, I can’t guess what he’ll do. He was much scarier than the man who came the other day. Gruvv’s secretary.

"Oh my, you are trembling and scared just because of me? Weird, you’re not afraid of my brother tho? So why you scared? You know what he’s doing out there?" He asked me a lot of questions but I knew he wasn’t asking out of curiosity, he was just making fun of me.

I held my breath, trying not to cough or vomit. He would look at the petals with a terrifying interested gaze.

"Hey. You know I’m going to kill you, right?"

I know. I knew it from the first time our eyes met.

But I can’t say anything with my own mouth.

He touched my hair with his hand, the chocolate bar I was holding in my hand snap in two because I was holding it too hard, the chocolate fell to the ground and the man’s eyes followed.

"Ah, too bad. This chocolate is my favorite, you should try it too." He said disappointedly. His eyes are now turned towards me, "After eating that, you’ll just stop breathing. Of course, I won’t cut you into small pieces while you’re still breathing."

I threw the chocolate on the ground and I got goosebumps when I saw the corner of his lips lifted. I didn’t know what to do and why I should be threatened like this.

"You must be wondering why I’m doing this, right?" He asked as like he could read my mind. "You.."

His words were cut short when suddenly his body lifted up as his collar was pulled. My eyes wide open when I saw Gruvv gripping the collar.

"Joshua, you’ve crossed the line." His voice is so deep.

Joshua eyes were rounded and he laughed loudly. Neither of us heard footsteps nor smelled Gruvv’s pheromones. He comes like the wind.

"Wow, my dear brother. Don’t be so rude to your little one, I haven’t even done anything to your omegas."

I could smell Gruvv’s pheromones that had just come out, he was angry, so angry that it felt suffocating. I stood up and held his arm.

"Gruvv, stop.." I begged with trembling hand.

Gruvv grinds his teeth and loosened his grip on the collar. Joshua fell to the ground and smiled broadly. There was a heavy atmosphere surrounding them, Gruvv turned to me and checked my condition, his face look so worry.

Joshua stood up and cleaned his pants, he glanced at Gruvv then to me. He sighed.

"What do you want?" Gruvv pulled my body behind. His pheromones began to cover the air around me.

Joshua shrugged, "Chill, I just want to meet your Omega." He said while picking up the hatchet that had been lying beside him. Gruvv still looked wary, I didn’t smell Joshua’s pheromones although from his face he looked angry. "You’re too overprotective. Even though you know what you’re supposed to do to him.."

I flinched when I heard Joshua say that, I looked at Gruvv’s back. I immediately understood why his little brother had come to be so mad to me, it was all because of my father. Maybe Gruvv should have done something to me, but he didn’t.

I bit my lower lip.

Joshua walked beside us, he glanced at me, "Oh Gruvv, you should do something more to protect your omega. Like, hire some guard. Well, maybe next time you’ll only find his cold body when you get home."
