DESTINED MATE : SWEET ALPHA PHEROMONE -
Chapter 17 - GRUVV’s POV
Chapter 17: Chapter 17 - GRUVV’s POV
Shiloh woke up two days later, he was already back to his own room. Surprisingly, he doesn’t seem to remember what happened. When I walked into his room in the morning he gave me a big smile.
"Good Morning, today the sun is also shining very brightly." He said, he was still sitting on the bed. The sun hit his face and his pale skin looked dazzling.
I approached him, "Are you much better?"
He looked at me, his eyes blinking a few times, "Did something happen to me? Why you ask me that?" He tilted his head with confusion. "Ah, don’t tell me I fell asleep again?"
I was silent for a moment, Andrew said this to me before. He think, Shiloh will not remember what happened, judging from his condition he did it under conscious. I thought he had a wish to long live, but it wasn’t like that. In his subconscious he wants to leave all this pain behind and just gone.
"Yeah, you fell asleep again, long enough." I smiled as I said that.
His face looked disappointed when I said that, "You said the drugs effect has disappeared, but it still there?"
I shrugged, "Maybe a little left."
When we were talking the nurse who always took care of him came, I went out for a while to let him take a shower and get ready. I went downstairs and met with Ave, I told her not to bring up what happened two days ago.
Ave understood and told all the maids to shut their mouth as if nothing had happened.
I called George and said I would take a few days off. I want to monitor Shiloh’s condition with my own eyes. Andrew intends to come and see him anyway, I hope my presence can restrain Shiloh’s reaction to his pheromones.
"Are we going for a walk this morning?" He said, holding my arm tightly. He can already walk on his own two legs, his body weight is already close to the ideal. He’s progressing well here.
"Do you want to see flowers or read a book?" I asked, holding his hand.
He paused for a moment, "I want to finish reading a book." The answer is short.
We sat in one of the chairs, enjoying the morning breeze and the light of the sun. He looks so shiny. During the two days when he was out Shiloh was talking in his sleep several times, he called his mother and also a name that I did not know who.
"Seth.."
I don’t know if it’s the name of the person he loves and missed? I wanted to find out, but somehow there was a sudden fear. Either I have to find out his background or I have to just pretend I don’t know about it. He really doesn’t look like he’s pretending not to remember what happened to him a few days ago.
"Gruvv.." He called my name while staring at me, he looked so serious. "What’s wrong with my wrist?"
Questions I didn’t think he’d ask thirty minutes after he’d been busy with his book. I chewed the cake that Ave served on the plate, my head was sorting out what the right excuse to answer it. I don’t know if he asked because he remembered or because he just didn’t remember anything.
"You accidentally scratched it while sleeping." Silly answer, I glanced to see his reaction. He looked at me suspiciously.
"Are you sure? Because it hurts so bad."
I nodded hoping he would stop asking any further. As expected, he didn’t ask again. Shiloh continued reading his book.
"I told you he did it under his conscience." Andrew smoked his cigarette, we were in my backyard. He just met Shiloh and checked him out. As expected, my pheromones were able to cover the other Alpha pheromones so that during the examination Shiloh did not show any bad signs.
"Do you think he should see a psychiatrist?"
Andrew looked at me, a long paused as he put out the cigarette and sighed. "Hey, did you tell Cross you were going to continue therapy with Shiloh?"
"What do you mean? Why did you suddenly bring up that bastard’s name in our conversation?"
Andrew ruffled his hair, his back leaned against the wooden chair we were both sitting on, his legs stretched out just pressed against my legs that were next to him.
"Cross called me and asked about Shiloh."
I squinted, "Why is that son of a bitch so eager to know other people’s business?"
"That bastard, that son of a bitch, whatever you call him, he’s still your Big Brother. He has the right to know and his curiosity is valid. Like me, he was also worried that Shiloh’s condition would make things worse for you in the future." Andrew said, he stood up and stretched. He fixed his glasses and looked at me, both of his hands in his pants pockets.
"You have to explain to Cross, you know he will do everything he can if something doesn’t go his way. I’ll find a good psychiatrist for Shiloh."
"Omega..."
Andrew walked over while waving his hand, "I know, I know, there’s no need for you to remind me." He said as he got into the car that was waiting for him.
I put out my cigarette, I looked up and looked at Shiloh’s bedroom window. I have to meet with my family and explain, I’m sure they’ll ramble on about this even more because Shiloh is a dominant Omega. But that’s what I need now to know about my illness and the fact that only Shiloh who can keep up with my pheromones.
Again, this doesn’t mean I’m going to marry Shiloh anyway. What I did to him was just sympathy and pity not romance feeling included. I also paid him for it, we did this because we needed each other.
He needed a place to stay and a money to his freedom later and I needed him to find out more about my illness other than depression. What’s wrong with that? Cross is always exaggerated thing.
