Chapter 910: Chapter 686: The Extra Fifth Tier

Lava, flames.

The sky and the earth were dyed red; this is the forbidden zone of life, where the scorching heat is enough to kill any creature.

Viscous liquid flowed across the land, carving scar-like ravines.

Huff...

Air currents surged, and the silhouettes of several giant dragons flickered faintly as they soared across the sky, forming a peculiar pattern before heading toward the towering peak in the distance.

The mountain was entirely crimson, piercing the heavens like a blade.

Radiance streaked across, and the dragons’ silhouettes descended before transforming back into human figures on the mountain’s surface.

They hovered in mid-air, their auras intertwining, and in the next moment, a dazzling light erupted into the sky, dispersing the surrounding heat.

Sparkling flecks appeared, reflecting on the sky like a mirror.

As time passed, the figures trembled until, eventually, their auras became chaotic. The vision in the air shattered, and all of them spat blood as they fell to the ground.

In that instant, the heat waves around them seemed to freeze; the next moment, flames surged with even greater ferocity!

Boom!

The ground trembled and split open, revealing a claw clad in scale armor emerging from the fissure!

Roar!

Then came a pair of eyes, filled with resentment and unwillingness.

"Where is she?"

"Tell me, where is she?!"

The giant dragon roared.

Overwhelmed by the oppressive force, the figures on the ground transformed into dragon forms one by one.

But even in their dragon shapes, their sizes paled in comparison to the dragon in front of them.

Like lions looking at stray dogs, the flames boiled as the fissure widened, and then the ferocious body emerged from the fire.

"Answer me, where is she?!"

"Lord Jora, we tried our best, but the ritual somehow went wrong, and we can’t locate her..."

Bam!

A violent tremor interrupted the speaker. As a weaker being, he lowered his head submissively, pressed his belly against the ground, and raised his forelimbs.

"Did the ritual succeed or fail?"

"Did her soul remain in this world, or did it break through the space as planned and reach another realm?"

The dragon called Jora suppressed his fury and asked in a deep voice.

His words seemed to ignite the surrounding flames; everyone could sense the emotions on the verge of explosion.

"I am terribly sorry, my lord..."

"We may have already failed."

"The star map cannot pinpoint Lady Dora’s location."

"According to the plan, she should have been transported to a world of a lower energy level. Even with spatial rules restricting her, Lady Dora wouldn’t face any danger in a place like that."

"But now we cannot establish contact with her through the agreed method... which may suggest..."

Feeling the boundless fury, the speaking dragon prudently shut his mouth and lowered his body even further.

"Then it means she’s still trapped in that cursed place!"

"That mountain!"

"Yes," someone answered softly.

After a long silence, a cautious voice finally broke the stillness.

"Perhaps Lady Dora’s soul has indeed reached another world, but due to some unknown factors, we cannot establish contact..."

"That’s impossible! What are the odds of encountering a Transcendent capable of harming Lady Dora in a low-energy world?" someone refuted.

"Furthermore, the Sky City has sent messages and confirmed that the man had visited Serlon Peak before. If things were as you claim, he would’ve noticed long ago, wouldn’t he?"

Rumble.

The earth shook, and Jora swung his massive tail. His muscular limbs trampled the ground forcefully, and the next moment, his colossal frame soared into the sky.

"Lord Jora..."

"Notify everyone. It’s time for them to offer their strength. It has been too long... Dora has endured too much suffering. This time, I will liberate her completely!"

"My lord!" Despite the shouting dragons below, the flames roared as a resolute bellow echoed across the horizon!

...

"This is the place."

Heyman pointed toward the pitch-black entrance, his face betraying just the right hint of sorrow.

"Dora is my only kin, but alas, she does not agree with the rules of the Dragon Court. We’ve had significant disagreements on this matter."

"Over time, those disagreements intensified until they completely severed our relationship."

"She secretly allied with a group of rebels, provided them with information, and even devised ways to exploit loopholes in the Observatory, making it impossible for me to pinpoint their location."

"This is indeed my fault."

"It’s true that this was my failure on the job. But as the Supervisor, my loyalty to the Dragon Court is unwavering. When the matter was exposed, I personally captured her and confined her here."

Heyman walked ahead, explaining the backstory to Roger.

"Geralt, the situation is now under control. I hope you can follow my plan to advance step by step—I will personally deal with this hidden threat."

"Dora was captured by me. The rest are insignificant pawns. You’ll understand my actions during subsequent inspections."

At this point, he paused briefly and his gaze fell on Sonia. "This creature..."

"What’s wrong?"

Roger asked back.

"Nothing. It’s from a world unfamiliar to me. It seems the Dragon Court’s domain has expanded considerably."

With this statement, Heyman let a sliver of delight surface on his face—an enlarged territory naturally demanded an influx of fresh blood.

If he could complete this inspection successfully, his chances of entering the place he yearned for would greatly increase.

"How much longer?" Roger suddenly asked.
