Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 908 - 685

Chapter 908: Chapter 685

Chachi’s voice trembled. The one he respectfully referred to as Speaker was, of course, the current master of the Tuge Family.

Heyman, Fifth Tier.

Golden glimmers danced in Heyman’s eyes as his gaze swept across Roger and Chachi before landing on the fractured void not far away.

Neither Chachi nor Sonia had noticed the changes in the surrounding space, but as the owner of Sky City, Heyman’s power far surpassed theirs, granting him a deeper perception of his environment.

Not long ago, while in Sky City, he inexplicably sensed something, and, following a mysterious intuition, descended from the skies.

The figure appearing here confirmed to Heyman that his intuition wasn’t wrong.

Something had indeed happened here.

BOOM!

By this time, the Guardians of Sky City had finally reacted. Accompanied by the heavy sound of collisions, several burly figures materialized nearby.

CRACK. CRACK.

One of them, clad in armor, slowly approached Heyman, "My lord..."

"Take them back to Sky City!"

Heyman withdrew his gaze. No matter what had occurred here, once back in Sky City, the truth would come to light.

"Esteemed lord, may I ask..."

"Shut up! You’re not qualified to speak here!"

The towering man roared, his voice rolling like waves of air, bypassing Roger and landing squarely on Chachi.

Chachi’s face turned extremely pale. He glanced briefly at Roger, seemingly about to speak but hesitated and said nothing.

"Follow me, and you’re also going to take this."

The burly man spoke as he pulled out a gem radiating golden light, surrounded by flowing metal.

Roger was all too familiar with this object.

Not long ago, Chachi had handed a similar item to Sonia, who, to avoid unnecessary complications, had voluntarily placed it on her own head.

Clearly, what the man had just produced was of higher grade, with vastly superior functionality.

"What are you staring at?"

"Will you put it on yourself, or shall I help you?"

"I’m not some animal! I am a lord from the vicinity of the Karo Mountains, a member of the Alliance—you cannot treat me this way!"

"This is an insult!" Chachi protested.

"And what of it?"

The metallic faceplate of the man’s helmet shifted to the sides, revealing a rugged face. He was looking at Chachi mockingly.

"So are you planning to refuse me?"

"Very well."

"Let me help you!"

With that, he stretched out his hands and lunged toward Chachi.

The friction of his armor produced a strange sound, these noises converging to form a unique force.

Chachi’s expression shifted as he began to retreat, raising his guard.

Standing not far away, Roger couldn’t help but sigh.

Although he didn’t fully understand how Heyman had detected their arrival and managed to rush here, Roger had originally intended to use this opportunity to infiltrate Sky City.

On one hand, to lull the enemy’s vigilance; on the other, to figure out a way to get closer to Serlon Peak.

But the armored man had clearly crossed Chachi’s boundaries.

And though Chachi was terrified, he hadn’t betrayed Roger right away.

For Chachi, even that was commendable.

In the next moment, Roger’s figure vanished from where he stood, reappearing directly in front of Chachi.

Predictably, the burly man’s sturdy arms landed squarely on Roger’s shoulders.

"Geralt, sir..."

Chachi cried out.

"Who are you? Are you defying the Alliance’s orders?" The man’s voice boomed like a thunderclap.

His enraged roar mixed with the sound of armor grinding together, the texture of the iron plates reminding Roger of the scales of a Giant Dragon.

Roger’s abrupt action had also drawn attention from the surrounding others. A piercing sound of wind-cutting resonated, and a nearby Transcendent simultaneously launched an attack.

"Rebel! They must be Rebellious ones!" a voice roared.

As trusted confidants, they were, of course, well aware of the recent escape incident on Serlon Peak. Roger and Chachi’s resistance had made them quick to connect the dots.

The burly man’s eyes gleamed with savage light. "Filthy rats!" he bellowed. "You’ve sullied the blood flowing within you!"

His hands exerted force, his body erupting with strength akin to a towering mountain. Yet such power was trivial to Roger.

The man’s expression shifted dramatically, and in the next instant, the air resounded with the deafening roar of a dragon. A full-gray Giant Dragon materialized before Roger’s eyes.

The man’s hands had transformed into the dragon’s jaws, razor-sharp teeth snapping open and closed, lunging to tear Roger apart!

CRUNCH!

Roger stomped forward, his foot shattering an entire row of the dragon’s teeth. Then, he raised both hands upward, channeling a surge of power from the earth.

Quinn Sword Seal, Atlas Great Bear.

Sky Lifting!

The ground trembled. The advancing Transcendents were astonished to find that despite their rapid speed, they hadn’t moved an inch after several seconds.

"It’s the earth! This guy’s power lets him control the surrounding terrain!" someone shouted.

In the next instant, everyone was lifted into the air.

Just as they prepared for a new wave of assault, Roger thrust both hands upward, striking the gray dragon’s upper jaw!

CRACK!

The sharp sound of bones breaking reverberated, followed by a piercing tearing noise.

Roger’s body swelled, his form radiating earth-shattering power as he drove through the dragon’s upper jaw. His force pierced through its sturdy skeleton, punching deep into its brain!

THUD!

The sound was abrupt, blood splattered across the sky.

Roger staggered backward as the dragon’s maw snapped shut, rivers of blood gushing out like springs. The giant beast’s massive body crashed to the ground with a thunderous boom.
