Chapter 873: Chapter 668: Beware of the Woman by Your Side

The young man—no, compared to his previous appearance, the man standing before Viola now was clearly more mature. For some unknown reason, an obscure energy enveloped him.

This made it impossible for Viola to sense his true strength.

Yet after a moment of tension, Viola’s anxiety strangely settled down.

If Justin’s power truly surpassed everyone else’s, then he wouldn’t have needed to go to such lengths to make elaborate preparations.

After leading everyone here, he could have turned hostile immediately, but now it seemed his decision to break them down one by one stemmed from a lack of strength.

Understanding this, Viola’s muscles gradually tensed up; she still had some confidence in her own abilities.

As a Lone Traveler, Viola was used to operating alone—it was her independence and strength that gave her the courage to come here by herself.

"So, all of this is your doing?"

Viola sneered coldly.

"What are you planning? Killing us all?"

"No, that won’t do. Once dead, you’ll no longer be complete. I need intact beings—different bloodlines are far more effective for what I intend to accomplish."

"You cannot die—not at least until my goal is achieved."

Justin pointed toward several columns surrounding them.

"Choose one. This will be the last choice you ever make."

"Dream on!"

Viola snapped sharply but did not attack. Her legs tensed as she propelled herself forward like a lightning bolt, covering more than ten meters in a single leap, heading straight for the distant exit.

Everything about this place felt sinister; if she had to face off with him, Viola wanted to do so in a location that gave her at least a slight advantage.

Justin remained where he stood and didn’t move.

He casually waved his hand, and several twisted figures began emerging from the columns around him. Among them, the one closest to Viola was the man she had attacked earlier.

"Get out of my way!" Viola instinctively launched an attack, but in the next instant, as her strike landed, the man she had once crushed easily now used his distorted arm to block her assault!

"It’s not a specter?" Viola was stunned, and at the same time, where their arms met, a green, viscous fluid began spreading. A faint numbness washed over her body, slowing her reflexes dramatically.

In only a moment, those grotesque figures swarmed her, trapping her completely.

Twisted and bizarre—yet radiating the purest Bloodline Power.

The Bloodline Power exclusive to the Dragonborn.

It wasn’t long before Viola’s blood-curdling scream of despair echoed throughout the space.

"No matter what your goal is, someday the secrets you’re hiding will be discovered by the Association—and when that time comes... Ah..."

"I know. But it no longer matters."

Justin chuckled indifferently.

"Pitiful creature—you understand nothing."

Viola’s body was immobilized, and with the crowd of twisted beings surrounding her, she fused with the stone column behind her.

The frigid stone column resembled a ravenous entity, devouring Viola inch by inch. Its rocky surface liquefied and burrowed into every pore of her body.

Gradually, her struggles weakened until she became just like the grotesque beings encircling her.

"You squandered your final chance in life. It could’ve ended with a shred of dignity."

Justin nodded in satisfaction.

"Hmm, this woman’s Bloodline Attributes turned out unusually compatible. The remaining ones are truly fortunate."

He smiled faintly. "Well, this works too—it spares me the trouble of deceiving them all into coming here."

"Let us begin."

Justin’s body floated into the air as the eight surrounding stone columns began to light up, one by one. From the bodies imprisoned within the columns, bright red blood began seeping out.

Blood imbued with the Bloodline Power of its origin.

The eight streams of blood elongated, weaving like fine threads in the air before converging upon Justin’s chest, where the skin caved inward, pierced cleanly by the combined force of the eight entities.

Strangely, Justin’s face showed no trace of pain.

"Finally, the power is nearly sufficient!"

"Next..."

"Let it burn!"

A green-blue flame engulfed Justin’s body, and his skin, muscles, and bones began dissolving rapidly before their eyes.

What was disappearing wasn’t his physical flesh but Justin’s very essence—all of the Bloodline Power contained within his being.

Buzz... Buzz... Buzz!

The light from the eight stone columns intensified as complex Runes emerged across the ground, activating all their energy simultaneously.

Justin’s entire strength coalesced into a green-blue halo hovering on his chest.

After a brief moment of buildup, the eight columns’ light erupted together, channeling through the halo on Justin’s chest and shooting deep into the palace’s core.

Thud!

The immense energy surged outward, scattering itself after traveling a dozen meters.

The next moment, a larger green halo materialized above Justin’s head on the dome ceiling.

Yet what appeared inside the halo wasn’t the view outside the palace—it was chaos and immeasurable depth.

The energy churned, connecting to some unknown, distant place.

By then, Justin’s physical form was almost completely destroyed, leaving only his soul’s manifestation to stand in its place. "There it is!"

A look of ecstatic joy crossed his face.

"After all this preparation, it hasn’t let me down."

"Now, it’s time to go home."

Energy rippled furiously, and the markings across the walls began to writhe rapidly under its force. The energy spread outward, soon enveloping the entire mountain and unleashing a towering surge.
