Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 865 - 664: Land of the Dragonborn

Chapter 865: Chapter 664: Land of the Dragonborn

The relationships between men and women in the Transcendent World are far more pure and simple than those in the real world.

There were certain questions Roger found inconvenient to answer, so he could only lead by example, striving to make up for them through action.

Amanda, of course, wouldn’t bother to probe into the true relationship between him and Hillrenes. Instead, the two embarked on a scientific exploration of distance and friction coefficients.

The immediate outcome was...

Before entering the Transcendent realm, Roger had assumed that certain low-level bodily fluid exchange activities would gradually diminish in prevalence among the upper-tier circles of Transcendents.

But in reality, upon reaching the High Tier himself, he experienced firsthand the truth.

Some things only grow bolder, never less frequent.

A Transcendent’s power far surpasses that of ordinary people, their sensory perception is heightened significantly, and even their desires grow exponentially.

In truth, these so-called Transcendents were far more extreme beings compared to regular humans.

This caused Roger to suddenly think of the many myths and legends passed down across the European continent.

The so-called gods were not loftily pure or abstinent entities—they were greedy, jealous, and lascivious.

In many aspects, they were so unrestrained it made ordinary people unfit to look upon them. Yet, paradoxically, this was the natural state of Transcendents.

Without rules to bind them, with power held supreme, the flaws of human nature become magnified. Some were adept at disguising themselves or skillful in managing a balance between desire and behavior.

But far more simply did as they pleased.

Roger had no aversion to this.

To the ordinary people who sought to advise him, he could only reply with one sentence.

"The joy of Transcendents is beyond your understanding."

The so-called drugs developed by ordinary people greatly amplify their senses, immersing them in indulgence. Yet in the eyes of Transcendents, these so-called drugs couldn’t even compare to the impulsive urges within their own minds.

Roger sat on the floor.

The battle ended with the destruction of a certain piece of furniture.

Amanda snapped out of her languid repose.

"Someone from the association contacted me. We can prepare to set out." Amanda suddenly spoke.

Her frenzy seemed more akin to reckless abandon before embarking on some dangerous endeavor. Roger understood Amanda’s thoughts and knew any attempt to advise her would be futile.

Thus, he could only allow this woman to unleash herself.

"When do we leave, and where?"

Roger’s words were concise.

"We take the first flight tomorrow morning, straight to Faku."

Roger nodded.

"Trulias—the Land of the Dragonborn. Don’t your memories contain any detailed information about its location?"

Amanda shook her head.

"It’s very vague. Additionally, what’s strange is that the direction of our bloodline inheritance differs, and the final locations of our confirmed Dragonborn lands are entirely distinct."

"Based on research, only when one’s strength has reached a certain threshold does the specific location of the Dragonborn land emerge in their memory."

Hearing this, Roger felt a ripple of unease stir within.

"Is there a specific categorization?"

"From the early to late Fourth Tier, distribution is highly uneven, seemingly determined by each individual’s bloodline inheritance."

"The place we’re heading to this time is where its current owner recently experienced memory awakening and confirmed their Dragonborn land."

"What’s that person’s level of power?"

Roger inquired once more.

"Equivalent to the mid-Fourth Tier. He’s an old fellow who has lived for centuries. In the real world, advancing to his current level is practically the upper limit."

"It’s said that when he first reached the Fourth Tier, he originally had the opportunity to join the Privy Council, but for unknown reasons, he declined."

"Since then, more than a hundred years have passed, and his strength has grown marginally, if at all."

Roger, whose perspective and abilities were no longer what they once were, naturally wouldn’t assume that the vastness of Europe only contained the few Fourth Tier Transcendents he had previously learned about.

Some had hidden in the shadows all along, incrementally accumulating power, neither exposing themselves in the real world nor directly clashing with concealed forces.

Recently, the interweaving of worlds had grown increasingly intense, and Transcendent events in the real world had multiplied.

Roger had a hunch that this radical change was affecting the power levels of those hidden Transcendents.

"Is this a sign of some grand trend arriving, or are there Transcendent Forces stirring up trouble behind the scenes?"

Roger warned himself to remain vigilant.

The Western Transcendent World was clearly more perilous than the Everworld, and Hillrenes’ tragic fate was still fresh in his mind.

Fifth Tier.

The exact number would certainly not be small.

Some things couldn’t be solved through avoidance—Roger now felt confident in his own strength. Unless he encountered a true Fifth Tier, with him present, he could at least ensure Amanda’s safety.

"What should I do?"

He asked.

"This time, apart from Dragonborn with direct bloodline inheritance, the association is allowing other Transcendents to collaborate."

Amanda gave Roger a once-over. "You need to disguise yourself. It’d be best to display certain traits of a bloodline..."

"Traits of a bloodline?"

"That’s simple."

Before Amanda could finish speaking, a subtle glint of radiance shimmered across Roger’s forehead. Quickly, his muscles swelled slightly, and under the stimulation of some force, his body expanded, his height exceeding two meters within mere breaths.

Not only did his physical appearance change, but the heavy aura emanating from him surged forth.

Amanda’s body froze slightly.

As a Dragonborn, her inheritance level was quite advanced. Yet even so, when faced with the aura emanating from Roger, she felt her limbs go weak.

It was as if a deep tremor had reached her very bones.

Just from this alone, it was evident that the level of Roger’s current bloodline might even surpass hers!
