Demon Hunter and His Cabin -
Chapter 374 - Chapter 374 Chapter 374 Companion Treants
Chapter 374: Chapter 374 Companion Treants Chapter 374: Chapter 374 Companion Treants The bright moonlight enveloped the earth, yet the dark shadow in the sky seemed as though it could completely absorb all the light from the moon.
Goway didn’t know why she had attracted the attention of such a powerful dark creature, but from the man in the sky, she could sense a strong smell of blood and dark energy.
Bat wings, a pale face, crimson lips, and sharp fangs–all of these reminded Goway of an ancient monster that roamed the European continent.
Vampire!
“How is it possible, how can such a dark creature brazenly appear in the city?”
In an instant, Goway no longer had time to think, as the vines beneath her sharply tugged, and she plummeted downwards while her hands came together, emitting a green glow in the night sky.
On the one hand, she used her attack to delay the other party, while on the other, the energy Goway released would surely awaken the Transcendents stationed in Blair County. As long as she had a moment to breathe, even if her opponent was a Third Tier enemy, they wouldn’t be able to face the siege of the entire city’s Transcendents!
Boom!
It was as if a terrifying monster had smashed through the wooden door inside the room, charging and crashing around like a bulldozer.
Crash.
Glass shattered overhead, and an extremely burly man broke through the window, leaping out of the room.
“Lusfan, there’s no need for you to interfere. A Secret Blood Witch who has just entered the Second Tier–I can snap his neck with just a little effort!”
The strong man roared as he plummeted from the sky.
“How can you be so rude to a lady?”
Lusfan flapped the bat wings on his back, “Beautiful lady, I apologize on behalf of my companion. If he accidentally breaks any part of your body later, please don’t mind it.”
Lusfan didn’t seem to be in a hurry to make a move.
“Be gentle, our target is not her. If she dies, where will we find that Roger?”
Lusfan said leisurely.
Landing on the ground, Goway was shocked; she finally understood why these two powerful enemies had attacked her in the middle of the night.
“Who exactly has this guy provoked?” Goway let out a wry smile, her heart sinking heavily.
She barely counted as a mid-tier Second Tier, but the two men in front of her had clearly reached the Third Tier.
2 vs 1, even escaping was a luxury for her.
Bang!
The energy beam Goway had just fired off suddenly exploded in midair, the green light noticeably dazzling against the night sky.
Lusfan frowned.
“William, you don’t need me to remind you, do you?”
“One minute, capture her within a minute, and then leave here.”
Lusfan’s large bat wings wrapped around his body, and with a slight turn, he blended into the darkness.
“No need for a whole minute, 10 seconds is enough!”
William landed on the ground, and his large feet created a shallow crater on impact. Watching the girl trying to flee in the distance, he revealed a ferocious smile.
“You better behave, I’m afraid I can’t control my strength and might accidentally kill you.”
With his limbs drawn up high on his back, William suddenly launched himself forward, landing on all fours.
But just as he did, Goway, who was running, suddenly turned around; she spat out a mouthful of blood, and at the same time, opened her hands as a drop of verdant blood seeped from the tip of her index fingers.
Three drops of blood in midair formed a twisted triangle, and Goway’s face turned almost translucent white as she made a strange roaring sound with her mouth open.
This was an extremely damaging way of casting a spell, compressing the spell into a short roar. Just that one time had caused severe damage to Goway’s vocal cords.
Thud, thud, thud!
Soil flew, and dark green tendrils burst forth from the ground, entangling William’s limbs.
“Trivial tricks, your attacks are as weak as flowers,” William scoffed coldly, his muscles bulging.
Rip!
His strong body burst out of his clothing, and the vines wrapped around him snapped inch by inch.
“I’ve run out of patience,” William said with a grim laugh.
Lusfan, hidden in the darkness, didn’t move to help.
Third Tier against Second Tier, this girl didn’t stand a chance.
But just then, the entire manor began to tremble.
The ground suddenly collapsed downward, and the house toppled over amidst the shaking.
As William broke through the vines and rushed to Goway’s side, into her house, a deep green figure flashed by at an incredibly fast speed.
“Snap!”
A deep green palm landed on William’s shoulder, and his massive body trembled slightly as a powerful force struck from behind.
In the turn of a moment, a humanoid creature writhing with bizarre branches smashed its fist right in front of him!
In haste, William raised his hand to defend!
Boom!
Like a clap of thunder on a clear day, William was actually smashed and sent flying by the tremendous force.
“Quick, come and help, there’s a Third Tier in this woman’s house!” William shouted loudly.
“It must be the power of an Array or some kind of Cursed Item!”
Lusfan, hovering in midair, plummeted from the sky, his wide Bat Wings unfurling like two sharp scimitars.
Slice!
The green figure was split in two, but not a drop of fresh blood flowed from the wound; the twisted branches grew back at a rapid pace, and before Lusfan could even turn around, the two halves had fused back together into one.
A hint of reluctance flashed in Goway’s eyes.
This object was a treasured heirloom of their family, nurtured with her own Essence Blood since the day she was born.
Constantly drawing Energy through an Array, due to its unique nature, it couldn’t move too far from the perimeter of the Array.
But now, in her struggle for survival, she couldn’t care less.
Run. Run far away.
Head toward densely populated areas.
“Right, these two are here to trouble Roger; I must inform him as soon as possible.”
Third Tier Transcendents were no common cabbage, rare even in Eld.
Sounds could be faintly heard from a distance; Goway no longer hesitated, twisting her body and running away.
Meanwhile, the green figure, having split in two, was momentarily holding off both Lusfan and William.
While running, Goway suddenly spat out a large mouthful of blood.
She knew that the Companion Treants who had been by her side since birth… were now dead.
In her agony, she saw several familiar figures in the distance, the Transcendents she knew from Blair County.
“What happened, Goway? You’re badly injured!”
“Two Third Tier, it’s dangerous; don’t come over!” Goway shouted loudly.
Meanwhile, William and Lusfan within the manor leisurely tore apart the green figure before them.
“This guy who suddenly appeared did us a little favor.”
William said with a smile as he crushed the green head.
“Two Third Tiers failing to capture a Second Tier; no matter how you look at it, such a play seems too fake.”
“Now, it’s just right.”
William looked up, casting his eyes toward Lusfan not far away.
“What’s next?”
“No need to rush; I’ve already left a Mental Mark on that girl; she’ll lead us to Roger.”
He frowned as if sensing something.
“Let’s leave this place, I don’t want to draw the attention of the Heritage Knights because of needless slaughter.”
“Haha!”
William laughed, “Everything is going so smoothly, this is the guidance of fate; it’s time we broke free from Abraham’s control.”
